(145)Chapter 2.9 – The Magical Girl Debut. (Part 11)

“I won’t say I’m not a little disappointed… That barely surpasses A- in terms of power. Oh well, let me show you what an A rank spell is capable of, maybe this way it will make you think twice before doing something this pathetic.”

Show them a glimpse of what’re capable of

  Fire noises!

She seems rather annoyed as she insults the beast attempt not only that, right at the end she is looking down on him as if he’s nothing more than an ant to her. She might be getting a little too invested but, moving one, with her claymore as high as her arms allows it to be, she then ignites it once again, after all, she had to deactivate said flames so that she could use the previous Electro spell. The flames that are ignited on the blade of her claymore are as hot as before, easily at the same 1200 degrees, it more than seems that Kiana wants to strike down whatever will come out from the boss mouth, or should I say that, she wants to cut it down? Either way, from her tone of voice, she’s more than confident that she can do it and easily at that after all, she will show him what an A rank spell is capable of.

  “Behold! Inferno Strike!”

  Slash! Fire noises!

The flames increase drastically as she shouts this, as she gets ready to strike down the boss magic spell, not only do they increase in size and strength but also in temperature, doubling the size of the blade of claymore itself and increasing the temperatures of the flames up to 1500 degrees. If before it could slide through them with ease, now then, it will melt them before it even reaches them. She does a downward swing with her blazing hot claymore, that’s it, nothing more and nothing else. It was moments before the Blast Cannon “hit” her that she did said swing. Since the claymore is now double the size thanks to the Inferno spell, the claymore itself never ends up touching the Blast Cannon instead, only those blazing hot flames with a chaotic shape of the blade, they were the ones that hit it and of course, because of it, an explosion follows it. The slash as I said was a simple one, cutting the magic ray in half, symmetrically on both sides and, just as she said, it was that easy for her to do so. Although the Blast Cannon from the boss is barely strong enough to scrape the upper A- rank, it still is in the A- rank realm more than powerful enough to damage everyone and everything that is unfortunate enough to be on its path or blast radius.

  Blast! Fire noises!

The explosion is violent, destroying the ground in that area and sending a shockwave strong enough to do the same a few meters past the blast radius, just like I described before. However, thanks to that powerful strike of hers, the explosion happens in front of Kiana and somehow around her. It was as if the Blast Cannon hit a wall dead on and said wall didn’t get destroyed by it, everything behind it was protected while everything else and within the blast radius, it got hit by the explosion. Kiana is more than fine and her immediate surroundings are the same, but thanks to the flames from her Inferno Strike, a massive black smoke cloud emerges, covering her and a good area around her.

“Well, you will be out of commission for a few moments thanks to the recoil of that supposed attempt at a Blast Cannon. Time to take out the trash then.”

  No survivors

  Groar!!!

Right after she said this, as the remaining monsters realise that she survived the attack from their leader, in complete union, they growl towards her. Ones louder, other quieter, some fiercely other cautiously however, these reactions are not from fear from her surviving said attack, no, instead, it is an attempt of hyping themselves up, so that they can tackle Kiana and to end her life. But what has caused them to change their attitudes? Was it the fact that Kiana got hit by the Blast Cannon dead on? Even though she has survived, do they think it did enough damage to her, making her weaker in the process? Allowing them to finally eliminate her? The answer is actually quite simple.

The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

“Guys! Her magic energy is much lower now! This is not looking good! They are going to attack her!”

Karls- Call down Anne! Pay attention instead of shouting that to my ears! She’s more than fine, she’s just lowering her magic energy, it’s quite genius what she’s doing to be honest….

Anne- Eh? Lowering her magic energy? Is that even possible in a situation like this!? But why is she doing that? And, what do you mean by genius? What? That does not make any sense at all!

Charles- She’s preparing a trap. Make yourself seem vulnerable to the enemy and lower their guard with it although in this case, it’s a little more complex than that. I think she’s trying to lure as many as she can by seeming weaker than what she actually is so that she can deal with all of them with a single strike. Just like she did in her first attack.

Anne- That’s unbelievable... Does that mean that she thought of this the moment when the beast was preparing his magic spell?

Karls- Who knows? However, I wouldn’t doubt if that was the case at all, she has been showing us that she's pretty strong and experienced in battle.

  “Phoenix Dance – Talon!”

From all directions, several monsters run up to Kiana, their eyes are filled with bloodlust ready to tear apart Kiana and her supposed weak self. Their sizes, strengths and abilities vary by quite a bit and there are at least twelve of them that end up completely surrounding her, not that it matters of course the end result will be the same. She waits just a fraction of a second until at least five of them are in range of her claymore and from there, she uses her Sword Art, easily decimating and turning to ashes those five not so poor souls. Only twenty-two are now left, still quite a bit of them but less than half.

  Groar!

Even after seeing their “friends” getting sliced in half and incinerated into mere ashes, they still don’t stop their suicidal group attack however, since those seven monsters are now on top of her, Kiana has to dodge their reckless attacks as otherwise they will hit her. They are between B- and B+ rank, weaker than Kiana of course but that does not make them weak at all as they by themselves are far stronger than your average adventurer. Each swing they take at her, she effortlessly dodges them but even then, you can somewhat feel the power behind them as a small air wave ends up being created thanks to the speed and strength although, that might more be so because the dark smoke cloud that was lifted up, even though it’s just lingering around rather than being a full-on dark smoke cloud.

After elegantly dancing for around 3 seconds, she jumps upwards reaching a height of 7 meters with it, high enough for none of them to be able to hit her, at least physical that is, but at the same time, it has created her a good opportunity to strike as the monsters for some reason decide to group up right beneath her, ready for her to descend down to their level.

  “Phoenix Dance – Eina!”

With her claymore ready to be used, she takes a swing at the air, aimed at the group of monsters that are right below her. As anyone can imagine, the swing hit absolutely nothing, creating only a small air wave that gently hits the monsters below her, however the same cannot be said at what follows afterwards. Eina, it’s a simple strike, can be diagonal, horizontal, inverted, whatever you want it to be, what really matters is what follows it. A massive cloud of flames, hot enough to turn to ashes to anything that comes in contact with it even for a short period of time. From how high she is, this could easily covers the entire area below her and consequently the monsters, not only that, the cloud is fast enough that none of them can move out of the way and with temperatures that reach 1700 degrees, more than hot enough to turn them to ashes in an instant, eliminating those seven monsters and reducing their numbers to fifteen.

Once Eina is done, she gently lands in the ground, one that is fully black, filled with ashes and even with a few areas with a bright red colour, all thanks to her previous attack. The moment she landed another group of monsters quickly ran up to her, it more than seems that, seeing their “friends” being burned into a crisp has done nothing to their motivation in fact, you can easily see the pure rage and fury on their faces. However, how stupid are they? Why haven’t they learned yet? Rather than trying to hit her with ranged attacks, they instead will try to tackle her at close combat once again… Hmm, wait a second, after thinking about it, I think I can understand why they are so insistent on close combat. Their leader threw a powerful spell at her a few moments ago and yet, she survived, with that alone, if they are weaker than him, what's the point of using ranged attacks against her? At least in close combat they might have a chance, but that is thanks to how Kiana is “playing” around with them. She’s narrowing dodging them, giving out that impression that, a little faster and they can get her. With that slight hope in mind another ten of them try their luck, taking swings left and right at her, however this time, things are a little different.
