(146)Chapter 2.9 – The Magical Girl Debut. (Part 12)

  Slash! Slash! Slash!

As they attack her, she elegantly dodges them, countering them right after that. Of course, the blade of her claymore has no trouble slicing them up even without any fire to back it up in fact, I more than believe she wouldn’t need for such spells and Sword Arts as she’s defeating them with one single strike, one that is precise, one that is so fast that, they cannot react to it and of course, one that is powerful enough to defeat them in said single strike. Another display of excellent swordsmanship, just a shame that her opponents are this weak, I would love to see how would she fair against someone stronger. Would she use other techniques? Would she play around if they were A rank instead? Now, that is something that has made my mind think about it. Anyway, after this small massacre, only five of them are missing and one of them is the Boss, one that seems to be done with the recoil of his spell, a recoil that took a whole minute to be recovered, a single minute where Kiana defeated twenty-two monsters.

Anne- Hey guys, do you think we could take them out? I mean, just look how effortlessly she’s dodging them... She’s also defeating them left and right with a single strike, with no magic at all. I’m starting to believe we could do it…

Karls- Let me ask you this then, do you think your strongest spell could compare to her previous Sword Art? The Eina one or whatever she called it. Do you think you could match the temperature of those flames? The range and even speed of the cloud of flames?

Anne- I-I don’t know... Maybe if I use Grand Magic? Nah, I can’t do it by myself, so no, I can’t match her. Not even in my dreams actually…

Charles- Miss Anne, what you are seeing and feeling is because of our current perspective of her battle. We are seeing her from the side-lines, it's normal that you would think like that as you have no “play in the game” at all, if she screws up, it does not affect us. Not only that, your eyes are keeping up with her and therefore, it feels that the battle is within our realm of abilities and strength. However, you don’t see just how much power she’s putting behind each strike and of course from this distance, you cannot see how fast her hands, arms and even train of thought are.

Karls- I can second that, she’s not using a single drop of magic energy. All of what she’s doing is from pure physical abilities alone, there really isn’t a single variety of her magic usage when she takes those swings. Not only is she keeping her magic energy at bay without any troubles at all, she’s also strong enough to achieve something like that. Something that, by looking at her, you would never guess.

Anne- Damn... Those who are at A rank sure are something else, now imagine those at S rank and above. Argh, what about the monsters then? I-I actually don’t want to think about it… Sigh… take care of the stragglers she said... We won’t even have a chance to do something at all!

Charles- Hahaha! I can understand your frustration but, be thankful that she’s able to take care of this situation like this. While I do believe we could take at least a couple of them, if a group of six or more decided to fight us we would be dead. And that is a simple 2 vs 1, now imagine if all those initial fifty decided to gang up on us.

Karls- Yeah, the goddess of luck sure is on our side today. I can only imagine the state everything would be if she wasn’t here with us. That girl over there, she’s strong and yet, there is something on me telling me that she's even stronger than what she’s showing us.

“Well then, it seems only five are left! Four of those pathetic excuses of a monster and, the big one ?>w

  End those four first

A smile creeps on her silklike lips but one that is rather small, her golden eyes are shining with their golden colour but at the same time, they have a mischievous look on them, while the rest of her face follows the same sarcastic tone as her voice. However, for some inexplicable reason, the monsters seem to have understood her as they shout at her with anger. It is a mere coincidence of course, it’s just the fact that, from fifty only five are now left. Their friends, comrades and maybe even family, they all are dead, killed by the hands of a fragile looking young lady, one that even to them, they took her as a weakling, a mere meal walking up to them. Ah, who wouldn’t be angry just like them? Who wouldn’t feel just like them? Their anger, sadness, hopelessness they are feeling towards this individual, stuck in a situation that they didn’t foresee and right in the face of a rather petite monster, who wouldn’t truly feel just like them?

  Roar!

The last four of them shout at her as they run up to her with all their might, all their rage, all of their desperation and all of their sadness. Their leader also does the same thing, but thanks to how his body is designed, he’s slower, rather slower to be honest. The four monsters no longer care about organization as they recklessly attack Kiama at the same time and because of it, with a single horizontal swing she sliced down two of them at the same time all thanks because they were attacking at the same time. They were shoulder to shoulder so, the blade of her claymore easily sliced through both of them, one after the another. Alright, only three are now left, almost there Kiana, keep up at it although it has not been hard at all for you… Oh well, it’s always good to support those who are fighting on our side even though she cannot hear me… Or even see me for that matter.

“Humph! Enough of this charade, Flamethrower!”

With a rather peculiar serious look on her face, she quickly raises her hand towards the last two as she says this and, from the palm of her hand a red magic circle appears, one that is at least two times the size of her tender hand. Mere moments later, a jet of fire comes out from it, however since this is fire that we are talking about, a few moments after coming out of the magic circle, it goes from a straight line into straight chaos as it starts to lose its form, going everywhere with it and consuming whatever that is unfortunate enough to be on its path or in this case, the two monsters. This only lasts for 2 whole seconds, but thanks to the sheer tremendous high temperature of the flames, close to 1500 degrees, the Flamethrower spell does its job perfectly, leaving only behind the ashes and a trail of destruction in the ground. But while this was happening, their leader finally got near enough to Kiana to attack her.

  Woosh! Bam!

With his arms? Legs? Whatever those things are, he takes a swing at Kiana, missing of course, however, he hits the ground dead on and he does so with quite the force behind it, cracking the ground and lifting up some dirt smoke at the same time. Then with his other leg/arm he does the same thing and the same outcome happens. And he does it again, and again, and again, always getting the same result, missing our ballerina and hitting the ground because of it. Until of course, everything changed when the Kiana nation decided to attack back.

“You are rather slow, what a disappointment… Whatever, take this, Fire Kick!”

  Swoosh! Bam!

With a simple but extremely powerful kick, one that she first spins around to gain some momentum behind her kick, she hits him right on his stomach with the heel of her right boot. As anyone can expect from what she said, her boot was covered in flames, ones that are far weaker than anything that she has done until now, around 650 degrees but still hot enough to do damage to the one that is at the end of those flames. Either way, the damage was much less than she was expecting but, the impact still was powerful enough to send him backwards a few good meters, or in this case, dragging him said meters.

“Oh my! Although your strength barely touches the A- rank, your defence however, it sure is in the A rank realm. Can’t say that, I was expecting that!”

  It won’t matter for you

You still can crush him and his pitiful defences

With her left eyebrow slightly raised upwards thanks to the small surprise she got, she says this with a somewhat teasing tone of voice or should I say with a mischievous tone of voice? Although her eyebrow is slightly raised upwards, there is a rather small and soft smile on her face as she says this almost as if, she’s happy to find this out…
