Loud Student- Haha! I knew you’re a good one from how you fought Alice! It’s nice to meet ya Miss Kiana!

  Calm Female Student- Sigh… He does not mean bad, it’s just that he lacks manners. I’m sorry about him, Miss Kiana, but it’s also a pleasure to meet you too.

  “Is everyone ready?”

  It seems Alice has caught on to them, she was talking to a few members of the student council when Kiana arrived. However, the moment she asks this and mind you, she does it in a natural way, they sure answer her in a blink of an eye and with union almost as if Alice is some type of high-end officer and they are the soldiers that she commands.

  “Yes mam!”

  See? In a union, while staring directly at Alice figure and with a firm and loud enough tone of voice, they confirm what she asked them. However, in the middle of them we have someone that is a little confused and unused to all of this.

  Kiana- Uhm, what will we be doing then? Are all of us doing a patrol at the same time? Won’t that draw too much attention to us? Wait, are you going with what I said yesterday?

  Alice- Actually, we won’t be doing that right now, instead we will stand near the entrance and check if there is anything or any student that is suspicious. You and I, we will be together over there, while the rest of them in pairs, they will be standing in strategic points. We’ve decided on pairs for a few reasons but, one of them is for scouting while the other one is there for safety reasons and if the case does arise, to capture whoever is suspicious. It’s early in the morning so there is no point in doing patrols at all.

  Kiana- Ah! So that is what you have in mind but…what about the students that are already inside the Academy? What if someone suspicious has already come inside? Then what? We will be wasting our time if that’s the case.

  Alice- That is when the student council comes in, I didn’t mention and I apologised but, the ones that will be at the entrance are us and my fellow members of our special class. The student council on the other hand, will be doing a patrol around inside the Academy while we check if there is something here and everything will happen at the same time too. But, let’s get going, we can talk more in our spots, no need to be here.

  With this, everyone quickly goes to their corresponding spots. As you can guess, students after students, after students, after students and there are a lot of them… I would say that maybe around a thousand students attend the Academy in total? From how big this place is I wouldn’t doubt it and at the same time, it shows how competent and smart this plan is. The majority, well in this case, every single student, teacher, personnel and so on, they all have to enter the Academy through the entrance. While all of the thousand students plus a few more people are not fully present at any given moment, that still does not make this a bad plan at all. To potentially cover all of the people here they just need to do this more times per week and at different times of the day as this way, it will increase the probability to find anything suspicious. I do say this because, the number of individuals inside of the Academy differs depending whenever it’s morning or the afternoon and even at different days of the week, for example, in the morning it’s comfortable to say that, around three hundred students are present while in the afternoon the numbers more than doubles, though for some odd reason when it’s Wednesday, those numbers shoot through the roof especially in the morning easily reaching between six hundred and seven hundred while in the afternoon, it reaches at around eight hundred. However, both on Monday and Friday, the numbers are ridiculously low while Monday is even worse, having only a maximum of three hundred students at peak time while on Friday that number reaches four hundred. In other words, a lot of people are coming through the entrance every single day.

  “Are you sensing anything out of place? I hate to admit but, my skills are completely useless here, far too many people for me to individually see anything at all. I have to rely on my sharp eyes and my trusty intuition.”

  Kiana- Don’t be too sad! With practice and time, you will improve your skill, but unless someone is already doing something suspicious, I don’t think that Magic Sense skill will be that useful. Unless you are talking about other types of skills that is.

  Alice- I was referring to Magic sense but, what do you mean by that? If you find someone with high levels of magic that alone should make him suspicious, no? Am I thinking wrong?

  “Actually, you are.”

  She quickly says this and at the same time, with quite the casual look on her face. As anyone could see it coming, Alice is surprised at this as to her, she has no clue what’s wrong with her way of thinking but to be honest, Kiana is right. There is no point in me yapping about it as Kiana will explain it to her so, yep, I will quiet down.

  I will shut up for now.

  For a little bit that is, I cannot keep quiet for some reason.

  Kiana- Let’s say that someone close to your strength enters the Academy. This person is just someone that is strong and because of it, he has high levels of magic energy however, that alone is nowhere near enough to make him a bad guy, the villain of the story. You can always debate the type of magic said person has, can tell you if he is evil or good but, even then, there’s simply too many factors that go against it so I will recommend for you to never do such a thing.

  Alice- I see… With your explanation now I can see the flaws in my thinking however, what do you mean by type of magic? Are you talking about, for example; Pyro, Hydro, the primal elements and other ones? Or are you referring to defensive magic, offensive magic, support magic… Wait a second, can you even differ between them by using Magic Sense? If you look at the magic circle you can somewhat guess what type of magic they will use… Now I’m confused.

  Kiana- Oh no, you are way overthinking it! It’s much simpler than that, and you were on the right track when you were talking about the primal elements and such. I was referring to Black Magic and Light Magic. Since we normally associate Black Magic to evil and Light Magic to being good, we can say that, anyone who has any of said magic type, it is either evil or good.

  Alice- I sure was going way off track, wasn’t I? I can understand your point of view and you are right, since I was a child, I was told that, if I know someone who has Black Magic, I should get away from them as far as I can and tell an “adult” about it. Apparently, these people are monsters reincarnated into humans. I can see your face, but we will talk about that at a later date. Tell me, is there something that we can do besides being lucky while looking around?

  Kiana- Well, we can start with summoning magic, or in this case, summoning stones. What do you think? The students from the other day, they used summoning stones, that alone is something that we can sense since said stones have magic on them. What you will “see” is basically two different magic signatures in a single person, while it’s not 100% accurate, it should be a good place to start. Secondly, while I can differentiate between magic stones and summoning stones, the case for the majority of people is not true so, I would also recommend searching individuals with magic stones in general after all, you can easily create summoning stones with them.

  With quite the smirk on her face, she ends this. She has her chest puffed forward a little bit as she shows off to Alice just how much she knows but, to be perfectly honest, she’s on the right track. Huh, she really is amazing, isn’t she?

  Alice- And once again you surprise me, seriously, everything you just said, it would never cross my mind or at least in this moment… However, I do remember at least two special classes that might have magic stones and or might do something with them that might be related to summoning stones. Hmm, that actually can be a good starting point on our investigation. Alright, I will discuss this with Ta-President of the Student Council as soon as I can but for now, let’s keep at it. Once it’s 9 am you can go to classes and that might be it for today as I don’t think we will be able to investigate any of those classes today, actually no, we will still be doing the patrols at lunch and afternoon.

  “Alright! I will follow your lead, Alice!”

  With a smile on her face and with a little too much excitement so much so that, she tries to copy the students from before when they in union answered Alice, as she says this to her. However, she did brighten up the mood a little bit as Alice flashes a soft and pleasant smile at Kiana. Anyway, with this, they keep on checking everyone that enters the Academy. Kiana arrived at the Academy at 7:55 am, not that early at all however, both Alice, her class and the student council members, they arrived at least 10 minutes earlier. We can easily think that what they are doing is beyond boring and, it is however, fortunately for them, time decides to do its thing or in other words, it flies by and it’s close to 9 am in a blink of an eye. Unfortunately for them though, they are unable to do anything out of the ordinary and the same can be said about the other patrols they did later that day, everything was and is calm inside of the Academy. Because of this, the day ends quietly or normally should be a better way to describe it. After acting like a security for an hour or so, Kiana went to her normal classes, after that she had lunch at the canteen and went for a “quick” patrol around the Academy. Once that one was done, she went to Anya special class where they ended up talking or in this case, Anya was explaining to Kiana a few more things on how everything will work and what they will be doing, it more than seems that, only next week and after that, they will actually be doing something concrete. At 16 pm she went on another patrol with Alice, something that went for at least 1 hour and 30 minutes. The rest of her day goes like normal.

  April 12, Friday.

  Another normal morning-How many times have I said this already? I have to find a way to skip this and in fact, I will be doing that!
