Hahaha! Be amazed at Kiana's strengths! While she thinks that Kiana is B+ rank, she actually has no evidence or proof of such after all, her Magic Sense skill is just like she said, green. What I’m saying is that she's unable to actually sense Kiana's true magic levels. Yep, there is even more to this skill than what I said before. She’s B- rank, don’t get me wrong, she’s strong and I more than believe that, she can get even stronger however, the difference between a normal B rank is already night and day, B+ for example, it’s at minimum four times stronger than B- rank, twice as strong as B rank. Fun fact, this scaling is the same all the way down to the lower ranks but when you reach S- then, everything goes out of the window. Don’t ask me why this is like this but, I will tell you nonetheless.

  The difference between A- and B+ is nothing less than two times stronger and the same happens from A- to A and from A to A+. However, S- rank is several times stronger than A+, not two but three times and to make it even worse, once it reaches SS- rank said increase is upped to no four but five times! Not only that, this scaling keeps up until SSS rank where it’s close to the maximum meaning that only someone as myself, the Hero and the Demon Lord can surpass it. Anyway, I went into a tangent, let’s go back to Alice's case. She still has not the capacity to fully sense magic to such a degree, in fact, she might be able to only sense precisely up to B rank level or in other words a little more than twice her strength, anything higher it’s basically the same for her as her Magic Sense has reached its limit. However, her instincts will “know” if someone is that stronger than her, or in other words, they will be screaming at her to be careful or straight out screaming at her to run if she ever faces an A rank monster for example.

  There is even more to this skill, if someone or something has little magic energy, she will also not be able to sense it. Let’s keep on using Alice as an example. In her case she can sense up to F rank monsters without much troubles, let’s use small slimes for example, she can only sense them up to a maximum of 10 meters from where she is, anything more than that and they are invisible to her skill. Then if someone that is A rank enters the range of her skill, she will only be able to fully gauge said individual as a B rank giving her the wrong idea although in this case, she still wouldn’t underestimate such a foe because he is at the very minimal twice as strong as her.

  All of this just to say that she's wrong on Kiana's assessment… I really like to yap, now do I?

  Kiana- I mean, I did have someone to help me out but I was the one who discovered how they work by myself. I should say that, this person helped me out perfecting them, I still had to figure out how they work by my own hands. I can tell you that, it was not from one day to another, I had to do a lot of experiments to say the least.

  Alice- Ah, so you had a teacher then! Would you mind telling me who that was? If you are this strong and know this much, I can only imagine how amazing that individual is.

  Kiana- Well, you can see it in that way, yes, in a sense she was my teacher… But unfortunately, I have lost contact with her, so... Even if I tell you who she is, I more than doubt you will ever meet her.

  For a fraction of a second you could see a distant look in her eyes and you can also sense the sadness behind her voice when she was saying this. However, it really was for a fraction of a second as she quickly comes back to her happy mood but it was for long enough for Alice to notice it and with it, she also understood that this person is no longer alive.

  “I hope you find her at least one last time. But it seems we are out of time.”

  Her voice was much more mellow than normal and her look on her sharp eyes do follow the same expression, they are soft as she says this. Though, it’s 13:55 pm, while normal classes are over for today, since Kiana is now an official member of Anya special class, from now on she needs to attend said class, one that starts at 14 pm and finishes at 17 pm.

  Kiana- Oh, I didn’t even notice the time! It sure went fast but, thank you, however I don’t think the world will ever allow me for such a thing. Anyway, moving on from this as quick as I can, Alice, I do have a request for you!

  Alice- What is it? Is something wrong? Do you need help with something? Something happened?

  Kiana- No, no, no, I’m fine. It is that, I just want to help out. I don’t feel comfortable knowing that someone is out there trying to do evil, not only that, I cannot stay still when I know of such an individual, even though we don’t know who that is… Anyway, I really want to help out.   Alice- I would love to have your help, not only are you strong but you also are very knowledgeable about all of this. Can say that I was expecting but, a pleasant surprise. How about this then, until the end of this week you will help me out with my patrols. We will do several patrols throughout the day, the plan is to see if we can find something at all and at the same time, if you don’t mind, I want you to also teach me how I can better use my Magic Sense skill. What do you say?

  Kiana- I don’t mind that at all but, I do have a question about it, what about my classes? I don’t think we can do a whole round between classes so I guess I will have to skip at least an hour or so of classes. Huh, can I even skip them at all? Won't I get penalized if I do so?

  Alice- Don’t worry about that, you’re not skipping them just because you feel like and, as long as you attend 5 hours of classes per week, you’re good to go. However, not only I will talk to the President of the Student Council at the same time you won’t be doing patrols 24/7, it will be just like you said, around an hour or so. There will also be more people doing patrols around the Academy so we might only do one circle around the Academy in the morning, another one at lunch and one last at the end of the afternoon. Ah, I will also say something to your main teacher so that you don’t get penalized. I think she will understand if I and Ta-President of the Student Council talk to him or her.

  Kiana- If that is the case then. I appreciate it! I will also talk to Anya about this so that she does not get worried about me if I end up getting late or if I leave earlier.

  Alice- Anya? Are you talking about Miss Pandora? Is that the girl that, the other day, got bullied by those students? The ones that you took care of? I don’t know if anyone told you anything at all but, they didn’t get any punishment whatsoever, just a warning.

  “Really!?”

  She’s a little bit louder than normal as she expresses her surprise and disbelief to what Alice just affirmed, although I do understand, comprehend and agree with her. What the hell? Something is not right at all, if Kiana was not there, things would’ve ended badly for everyone involved, it’s not even funny at all. How come they didn’t get any type of punishment? Unless…

  Unless someone is backing them up.

  Alice- Don’t even say anything at all, I’m just as angry as you are. Sigh… Moving on, there is no point in getting mad over it. So, have you joined Miss Pandora class then? Do you want to be a magic researcher or a scientist?

  Kiana- Yes, I did join her, since I’m somewhat good with magic I more than believe that, in her class I can use it for something nice per say. The world is peaceful so there is not much that I can do with my magic abilities and rather than being still in a place waiting for something to happen, I’ve decided to do something else instead. I’m not that smart though, so I can only give her a hand when she needs it.

  Alice- Well you seem happy and Miss Pandora does deserve your help, I wish the both of you good luck with your research and future. I do believe that either of you are in good hands but, I should be going now, see you tomorrow if we don’t see each other again today.

  And so, they bid their farewells and go their merry ways. After this Kiana goes to Anya lab and from there, they have their first official class together, however in the next three hours, Anya mainly showed Kiana around, how things work, how she does the experiments, the research prior to the experiments and after them and so on. Colour me surprise, since our beautiful Kiana is such a brilliant genius, at the end of the three hours-ah not really, in 15 minutes, her brain was completely fried thanks to all the information she got. Now I’m wondering if she made the right choice, there’s a lot of work up ahead, I guess. Anyway, the rest of the day goes like normal.

  April 11, Tuesday.

  The morning starts just like the other days, nothing changes on that front, once she’s at the Academy then, we can say that her routine will be destroyed. I’m exaggerating but right before classes and while entering the Academy itself, she’s intercepted by Alice and a few students that are with her. Some of them seem to be part of the student council while the rest seem to be part of Alice's special class. Before they do anything, they greet Kiana and she does the same to them although, their reactions are something that I can happily say that I wasn’t expecting.

  “Oh! If it isn’t the girl from the other day!”

  He sure is rather excited to see our lovely Kiana and to be honest, who wouldn’t? I mean, just look at her! Her petite figure, but one very feminine and good looking, her gorgeous golden eyes easily catch the attention of anyone that is fortunate enough to look towards them, her soft facial- Alright, I will stop it! You’ve heard this a million times now. Tsk! Nothing wrong with commenting on Kiana beauty… I mean, how can’t I? Yeah… I’m not a creep… Nope.

  Calm Female Student- Oie, don’t be so rude! It's Miss Eris-san, not “girl”.

  “Ah, good morning, everyone! Also, don’t worry, I’m not offended at all in fact, just call me Kiana!”

  She sure has a smile on her face and of course, everyone relaxes as they see her good mood. In a way, it’s a relief for them as she really is what they have been told, an easy-going kind girl that you shouldn’t mess with. Yes, it seems she already has quite the reputation behind her, not only she’s “supposedly” as strong as Alice, just like Alice, she will punch you in your face if you dare to mess with her or her friends. Huh, it seems Anya might really be protected just from this alone. Good one Kiana! It seems your good manners are doing well for the world!
