Alice- I see... I didn’t think of that, I just wanted to help her out... Well, I acted before I thought. As you can see, even I can make this small mistake and yet… I think you might know what happened to me.
Way to Excited Teacher- Oh, good reference to what I was saying. But I still have to punish you somehow, make you regret for what you did! So that next time you don’t do it again of course!
Alice- Sigh… Who will I be fighting then? Every time you are like this, you want me to fight someone or something. Just get out of your system already.
Way to Excited Teacher- Haha! I knew you will be up to the task! I want you to spar with that girl over there! She seems to be the real deal.
He points towards Kiana as he says this loudly and of course everyone, and I do mean that, they follow to whom he is pointing at, only for their eyes to see a petite pretty girl, the same one as before. Not strong looking at all and yet, she was the only one that figured out the previous shenanigans of his.
“Eh? Me? Eh?”
Way to Excited Teacher- Yes, you! Who else am I pointing at? Don’t be so surprised, not only you won with a single hit, you also figured out that there was a “barrier” in the arena. You sure were quite fast to notice and to act, showing off a certain degree of experience… Perhaps, you actually have seen the “barrier”? Either way, please introduce yourself to everyone here, we can always talk about that after all of this.
“Sure… I’m Kiana Eris, it's a pleasure to meet all of you.”
Rude Student- Wait! Wait! Wait! What the hell!? From all the people here you choose her!?
Way to Excited Teacher- Well, as far I am concerned, not only did she win against you, she only needed one strike to do so. As I said before, she also was the only one that noticed the “barrier” in the arena. Were you listening to anything that I was saying?
Rude Student- I-I, but-but... Damn you...
Way to Excited Teacher- I see, it seems my decision is being rejected by some. Do any of you have any complaints about my decision? Speak up! Let me know, so that I can tell you how wrong you are.
Angry Female Student- Actually, I do have! Have you seen how small and fragile she looks? Someone that is so pale that I could mistake her as a sick person, how can you choose her? She looks like I could break her with a small gust of wind! Seriously! She looks weak!
Rude Student- Ye-Yeah! She only won because that stupid barrier distracted me! Yeah! Not because she’s stronger than me! And, and! I was feeling sick in my stomach! Yeah!
“Enough! If you keep speaking like this about her, then leave this place at once! I will not tolerate this type of behaviour.”
Seriously, what were they expecting to happen? Yesterday, Alice already lost her mind thanks to a similar situation like this. She got some type of punishment because of it and most probable word got around and yet, these imbeciles, idiots, fools, decided to do this in front of her, again. She basically shouts at them, almost there just a timber below it. Her voice is sharp, cold and aggressive. Her eyes, her gorgeous eyes stare at them intensely, easily intimidating them. They quiet down the moment she speaks, they back off the moment her strong voice hits them and of course, they cower in fear as her eyes gaze consumes their mind.
Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.
Alice- Miss Eris, while I am somewhat forced to do this, you are not. If you don’t want to, please say something. I don’t want the same scenario as yesterday to happen again.
Then as if she did an 180 degrees turn, she gently and softly asks Kiana if she’s fine to do this, if she wants to fight her. Yep, it seems she has “learned her lesson”, rather than letting the situation escalate to the same degree or more than yesterday, instead, she let out the question early on so that everyone is on the same page. Maybe, just maybe, she also unconsciously thinks the same as the other students do about Kiana's possible nonexistence strength, making her ask this question. Whatever the reason might be it does not matter, Kiana is more than ready to take her on.
“Ah, don’t worry, I'm fine. To be honest, ever since I first saw you yesterday, it left me wondering how I would fair against you. An opportunity that I don’t want to miss!”
Way to Excited Teacher- Good! That’s the spirit! I knew you would agree to this! Anyway, get ready! The battle of your lives is about to begin!
With this, both of them walk up to the arena and into their positions. Just like before, the teacher quickly prepares a small Pyro spell and launches it towards the air. He leaves no time to get their weapons, to summon them, nothing, he was so fast with his preparations that the battle started without even giving them any time at all. Not that it matters for them it seems.
Kiana is faster than Alice, raising her left arm towards her, stopping roughly at chest level. The palm of her pale tender hand faces Alice and right in front of it, a magic circle appears, showing that Kiana is preparing a spell. Alice on the other hand, simply summons her claymore, the same one that she used yesterday, the one that the blade is dull, getting herself into a defensive position afterwards. After all, she has no clue what Kiana is about to do and since she was this quick to act, it’s better off for her to stay in a defensive position to first see how strong the opponent is. Not a bad strategy, however without Magic Sense, this strategy can fall flat in an instant as she really has no clue what monstrosity might come out from Kiana spell. I say this, because I know spells that are a simple magic ball roughly the same size of an average hand that can destroy a whole building. Of course, size matters, but the amount of magic energy matters hundred times more, after all, you can compress magic into a single point, increasing its power with it and decreasing the size.
“Oh, spirits of the wind! Hear my voice floating in the wind and hear its call! Allow me to control only a fraction of your power! The one that controls the winds!”
Magic noises! Wind noises!
A dark green magic circle roughly with a diameter of 1 meter appears in front of the palm of her hand as she says the incantation for said spell. It’s more than evident that she will be using an Anemo spell. A wind ball appears right from the magic circle, one where it has air circulating inside of it in all directions, complete chaos inside of it but as she keeps on saying the incantation, it starts to gain form and even a colour, a soft shade of green resembling the leaves of a beech tree.
“Tempest -”
*Dispel thy spell!*
Puff!
For some inexplicable reason, the spell disappears, or should I say, failed? What happened? Everything seemed to be fine a fraction of a second ago. While I’m at a loss of words for why this happened, Kiana is also the same way.
“(What!? Again? Is someone using magic jam on me?)”
Her beautiful golden eyes are wide open, her silk like lips spread open thanks to the shock. She quickly looks around to see if someone did something, but unfortunately, she found nothing suspicious at all, even when using Magic Sense and her Magical Eyes she still found nothing. Either way, someone or something is messing with her, she said that someone used magic jam on her and I can see it happening. But why? Does anyone have some type of vendetta against her? Impossible, from the quick look that she did, she found that no one in the crowd did it, Alice and the Teacher are not the culprits either, which means…
A third party did it.
“(Her spell failed… No, it was something else. Magic jam. Someone is interfering with our battle, but who? Maybe I should tell-) She’s coming!?”
Alice saw everything as expected and she also drew the same conclusion as Kiana. As she was thinking to herself about it, a thought quickly crossed her mind, one that told her that it was better to stop the battle. If Kiana didn’t dash towards her with quite the speed that is.
