“That’s odd, there are walls dividing us. Magic walls and thanks to their properties, they are almost invisible, although with Magic Sense you could easily detect them. But why? What is he trying to achieve?”
Just like Kiana said, there are walls that divide the students, creating a corridor like scenario thanks to it. Either he wants to know if someone has Magic Sense skill just like Kiana, or if someone is smart enough to figure it out. I do say this because you can actually see the walls (barely), but right at the ground where the wall starts, you can see a white line roughly 15 centimetres tall. This wall was created using the Anemo spell “Wind Wall”, it basically creates a gust of wind going upwards, creating a wall in the process. At the beginning of the wall, you can see said wind, one that has a soft shade of green and with it, that line that I refereed a few words ago. However, it really seems that none have figured it out, but moving on, no use standing around after figuring this out.
“Here I come! Try to block this! Although I would recommend you to dodge it instead!”
With quite the teasing tone of voice, with a smirk on her face and with a mischievous look on her eyes, she shouts this before making a move, quickly grabbing the attention of her opponent and at the same time, of everyone at the arena. Right after that, she dashes towards him, not as fast as Alice for example, but still quick enough to make him panic. His eyes widen with shock as he questions himself about her speed. He didn’t expect this, he didn’t expect this fragile looking young lady to be this fast and because of it, he’s panicking.
Rude Student- Wi-Wind Slash!
Swoosh!
In complete panic he throws an Anemo spell at her, a small gust of wind in the shape of a blade basically. However, this pathetic attempt of an attack not only would end up completely missing Kiana, it was so badly executed and rushed that, halfway through it, it disappeared into nothing, leaving only a small gust of wind. Poetic, no?
Pow!
With a quick, precise and right hook, she punches him right in the stomach. He lets out a pathetic sound of pain as he embraces his stomach with both hands and falls down to his knees at the same time. The punch was so powerful that he hit the cold stone tiles with his forehead as the pain is far too intense for him. Ah, the humiliation as everyone stares at him, as everyone is shocked at this fantastic display, at how a girl knocked him out.
“With only one punch?”
“That young lady one hit him!?”
Way to Excited Teacher- And the winner is Kiana Eris! However, what are you all looking at? Get moving for crying out loud! Fight already!
Still confused but now with determination, the rest of the students start their fights. Although, complete chaos ensues with it. While some do have a tiny bit of experience, thanks to the “invisible” walls, some of them bump into it while dashing towards their opponents. Others, their magic spells hit said walls, while others try to dodge the incoming attack only to hit a sturdy wall in the process. These students are nothing special at all, yes, they have far more experience than yesterday students but still nothing to note about. None of them surpassed C rank nor reaches it to be honest, one or two are close to it, being at C-. The rest of them are between D- and D+, a massive difference between those two at C-, they alone could solo anyone they would want. Of course, the one that Kiana defeated is a measly D rank.
Way to Excited Teacher- Alright! That’s enough! I’ve seen enough.
With a loud and firm tone of voice, he easily grabs the attention of everyone there. Those who were still battling they quickly stop, those who were defeated walk up to him, in the end everyone leaves the arena and walks up to him. Oh boy, the mood in there sure is something else. As expected though, that Wind Wall threw anyone in there out the loop.
Way to Excited Teacher- Good job everyone, you fought bravely even without knowing what was happening. Unfortunately, real battles are like this. Traps, ambushes, dirty play and so on, you have to expect anything from your opponent and surroundings. I will speak about this later, first, I will say the results. Line up if you may and by the same pairs, it will be easier for me to say the results.
Then, pair by pair, he says who has won and who has lost if for some reason that was not evident enough. However, when he’s saying the results, he does give out a little bit of his opinion about them, how they fought, what they could’ve done better, everything you would expect from a teacher. Not only that, he does so quite honestly and without any hesitation at all, colour me surprised, from yesterday teachers I would not expect something like this from a teacher from here. Thinking about it now, I’m being a little mean to the Academy after all, not all apples are rotten.
Way to Excited Teacher- Well then, I will proceed to explain what happened in the arena. Though, to my surprise, and you can bet that I really didn’t expect it, one of you did see everything right from the get go.

He faces Kiana with quite the grim on his face as he says this. The students follow his look and when their confused brains process that this fragile, slender, pale and yet beautiful young lady was the one who figured it out, they can’t fathom that someone like her did such a thing, however, they can’t also deny the cold reality. But before some of them start to throw out some baseless accusations to justify their own weakness, the teacher starts to speak again.
Way to Excited Teacher- In battle, several unpredictable events can happen as I said before, thanks to this undeniable fact, you should always be ready for anything. When I say you should be ready, I mean it mentally, remain calm, assess your situation at hand and quickly formulate a plan. This young lady was able to quickly identify the problem, she made a fast and decisive decision as all of you saw it. This was never meant to be a free for all or something of that sort, but thanks to those “invisible” barriers, that was what it seemed. It was more than enough to stop almost all of you from taking action. If this was a real battle, only one of you would have survived. The enemy never waits, and so, you shouldn’t either.
I agree with everything that he said. Once again, I was not expecting for him to be this rational and fair. He was able to turn the chaos into a valuable lesson and if these students do decide to go further with this, they have to have this stuck in their head as otherwise, they will pay dearly with their lives or their friends lives. It’s not a joke, a battlefield is not a good place to be and I speak from experience. It’s cruel, brutal, evil, everything negative that you can even imagine, a battlefield is like that. I don’t wish for anyone to be in a place as bad as a battlefield but unfortunately, in a world where monsters exist, someone has to be there fighting those beasts and protecting society with it.
“Oh! If it isn’t our Alice-chan! What a surprise to see you here!”
With quite the excited look on his face, he calls out by Alice who just happens to be walking by them. Or maybe not, and it was something planned just like yesterday, however by the way he spoke I can easily say that, this time, things will be much better. There is a genuine excitement and happiness to see her here even though it might have been planned. Alice walks up to them and just like yesterday, the students are also quite excited and happy to see her here, however as if god himself descended down into these people's minds, they remain calm, at least they are trying as she gets near them. What am I seeing? How is this possible?
“Well then, let me introduce the leader of my class, the Boss as they call her. The pride and joy of our academic class! Alice Florence!”
Clap! Clap! Clap!
And with this, they finally broke down, clapping and cheering at Alice. She sure is popular and well known, seriously, these people are way too excited to see her. They are also way too loud with their clapping. Is that even necessary?
Alice- Some of you have already seen me yesterday, but once again, I will introduce myself. I’m Alice Florence, the leader or the boss as he just said, of the Battle Club. Don’t be fooled by the name, we are not some maniacs that enjoy fighting a little too much for our own good. Here we learn several things and yes, the majority of them are related to battle. We learn how to use our strength, our magic, strategies, how to use your head in the heat of the moment and so on.
Way to Excited Teacher- That’s correct Alice-chan! At the Battle Club we, or I in this case, I will be teaching you how to defend yourself, the people around you and everything you value. You will learn how to effectively use your magic and what type to use it, one that will be best suited for you and the situation at hand. After all, you don’t want to use an explosion spell right in the middle of civilians, right? If you work hard, you will have the opportunity to join the police force, maybe even the army if you so desire and work hard for it. Or you can be like our Alice-chan, maybe you can become part of the Royal Knights or even the Elite one. Either way, this club is meant for you to learn how to sacrifice yourself for the greater good. When I say this, it’s not for you to die just because. In this cruel world filled with monsters and bad people, we need to have someone to protect the innocent from them and that’s why this club was created. Be aware, it won’t be easy, but if you have the will and the confidence then please, let me see what you are truly capable of.
Alice- I agree with you sensei and that’s why I chose this class. There will be several excellent teachers that will teach you everything you need to know, but you will always have to work hard to achieve anything that you want. I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t work hard, and that, you can be sure about it.
Way to Excited Teacher- Yep, but yesterday, you sure did an upsie, didn’t you? I admire your sense of justice, but sometimes you take it far, just like you did yesterday. You cannot punch your justice into people's guts, although, I would love to see their faces when that happened.
Alice- I know that, but they kept making fun of that girl for no reason. I had to do something for her… She didn’t want to fight me and yet, she gathered all of her courage to do so and those fools kept on bullying her. I just couldn’t stand it.
Way to Excited Teacher- I know that and I understand you. But it still does not make right what you did. There are rules that we have to abide by, and unless you are in charge of all of this, then there isn’t much you can do. You know, you could’ve just stood in front of her and let them take action first. If for some reason, a single finger of them touched you, then it would’ve been self-defence if you get what I’m trying to say-
Wink! Wink!
What the- he winks quite slowly and visible as he says this. For a middle-aged man to do this, it looks so weird… Though he is right, if they had put their hands on her first, then whatever would’ve happened next it would have been considered self-defence. She still couldn’t take it too far, but what she did, it would’ve been enough, I think. While she was a brute to them, she never tried to murderer them or hurt them like there was no tomorrow, so I more than think it would’ve been “acceptable”.
