O:E;T/S – #40 CN “Seasons”

  Anomaly Codename: Seasons

Time of Discovery: 08:14 20-01-2029Task force deployed: Sierra 3Preliminary Information: "Reports made of hikers losing track of time, and sightings of an odd clearing deep in the mountains"Time of Report: 13:00 20-01-2029Anomaly Location: Northwestern Washington08:14: TF-S3 makes contact with anomalous area. All units confirm seeing the clearing deep in the mountains, and can observe the foliage in the clearing growing at an abnormal rate.

08:33: TF-S3 Establishes a perimeter around the anomaly and begins Standard Testing Procedures. Unit 4 tosses a perishable object (part of their personal rations) into the anomaly. Unit 5 scans the anomaly with our AES, confirming readings of anomalous energy. Units 3 and 6 patrol the perimeter in search of any bodies, and to confirm the area of effect the anomaly covers. Unit 2 notes that the tree in the center of the zone appears to change rapidly, discarding and regrowing leaves

08:45: TF-S3 Coordinates a partial entry into the anomalous area, despite the risks. Units 2, 3, & 6 will enter the area, while the remaining members will remain on standby to retain contact with Command. Shortly after, units 2, 3, & 6 enter the zone.

08:50: The units who entered the zone emerge unharmed and visibly unchanged, but they report to have gathered data from the next 5 days. TF-S3 will continue to observe the next few hours.

11:50: TF-S3 secures the surrounding perimeter of the anomaly and contacts the local officials, notifying them that the area is now a wildlife preserve and that access is strictly forbidden to those without clearance. TF-S3 concludes that the anomalous object is the tree stated above, and that the surrounding area around it's far-reaching branches are in a state of temporal flux, where time is greatly accelerated inside. Anomaly is code-named "seasons" after observing the passing of the seasons within the anomaly.
