After dying, a young man wakes up to find himself in front of a story-telling entity which seeks to create a new story, starring him. Soon enough, he finds himself hunted by his new world''''s most powerful empire, wanted for a heinous crime he didn''''t commit. Every guard, adventurer, and bounty hunter is eager to claim the price on his head, and his task becomes more difficult by the day as word spreads of him and his erstwhile companions that he recruits. Of course, his benefactor does grant him a boon or two in order to help him survive, though not without some...complications down the line.
