The next day, at the allocated breakfast time, Matilda could see that not everyone was still turning up to the meals. If everyone wasn’t here, it meant that they couldn’t start preparing for the big meeting, but she would most likely still have to say everything more than once!
What a pain! They are acting like little kids! I wish I could hit their heads together!
The breakfast had started, and people were eating when Matilda just didn’t want to handle lost time. She decided to teleport anyone that wasn’t here after they had all finished eating, just so that she could at least have the first speech where they were all together.
Could she dream that the meeting could start on that day, yes! Does that mean it would come true though? No…
But what if she didn’t try!?
So, after everyone had eaten, luckily with no angry outbursts, Matilda teleported those who weren’t currently there, to be there. Of course, since she had some time to wait for them to finish eating, she had time to send someone to those who weren’t there that the first meeting was going to happen and that it would be preferable if they were to come on their own accord…Not everyone came on their own accord though…
The Green Haven Emperor and the Dusk Haven Emperor grumpily looked around when they suddenly appeared where everyone else was. The Green Haven Emperor had been teleported before, but the Dusk Haven Emperor had not been…He indeed took a moment to adjust…
“Now that everyone is here…” Matilda started on her details upon why they were summoned there, again, and what was to happen and why. It really was the perfect time for her to bring up the spiritual essence and even show them the same thing that some of them had already seen twenty years ago…
There were some fbbergasted looks and whispers afterwards, but Matilda was able to keep them from yelling and getting out of hand.
The Red Haven Emperor finally knew who Matilda was, and so did Seth, who had attempted to state earlier to Matthew that he had not seen Sahara…Only to now find out that she was instead Matilda…
Matilda’s secrets were all out now, well except that fact that she lived a life or two before this one, actually Matthew knew about that, so does it still qualify as a secret then?
“…As you can see, I have brought you all together for more than one reason. Let us find the new golden emperor! Let us join our haven’s together and be able to trade! Let us try to find ways to slow the spiritual essence from condensing!”
Matilda was then interrupted, “None of this makes any sense to me. I’d like to tell you all that I am going to depart tomorrow morning so if you…”
Matilda looked at the Dusk Emperor, who had interrupted her, and interrupted him in return, “Just because it doesn’t make any sense to you, it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist!”
“We only have your word! What we saw in our heads might have been something you made up!” Even a golden heir had joined in on the conversation.
Matilda stopped and closed her eyes. How could she make them listen or understand…Or both!?
It wasn’t going to be easy, she knew this, but it already felt like so much work!
While she hadn’t said anything in return, the noise level started to rise as some emperors and golden heirs were cheering or backing another’s cim.
Opening her eyes, to the view of these people fighting over this, Matilda could only get angry!
They did not even see that Matilda, the most powerful person there, was getting more and more furious as the time went on!
Matthew was edgy, knowing what Matilda was feeling just by the look on her face!
“Quiet!” Matthew yelled.
The noise did quieten a little but still people were talking.
“I said, be quiet!” Matthew stated clearly, looking at those who were the loudest. He had to fix this!
Just think that these are all ministers, and you are back in Green Haven again, Matthew told himself. It wasn’t like he had never been in charge before but that fact that all these people were quite important had intimidated him a little. “I know it’s a lot to take in if you’ve never heard of this before. Twenty years ago, when four emperors were together, nothing had been done! Do you not see it!? How the spiritual essence has started to disappear? I have been traveling from haven to haven and I’ve seen it everywhere! Do not tell me that that isn’t a problem!”
Matthew frowned as he looked around again, “What are you afraid of? Is getting a Golden Haven Emperor and a golden bridge something not worth fighting for!? We would be able to travel, trade…Purple Haven has something called a swimming pool…Do you even know what that is? We…”
Matilda held up the ever so unhappy Naruto, almost like it was a whole thing on its own, “We could have pet fox’s…”
Matthew then frowned at her, “Sweetheart…That’s not…What I’m trying to say here…”
Matilda bit her lip and nodded at him, “We have a fighting arena here, in golden haven.”
With a smile, Matthew then looked away from her, to the crowd, “Blue Haven have takeaway stores…Do you know what they are!?”
Matilda nodded, she knew! Hell, they probably wouldn’t be there if it weren’t for her!
“Do you understand what I’m trying to say here. That getting along, and being agreeable, we can see and do these things! Just for a few days please focus and stay. Let’s find our golden emperor!”
Seeing the crowd stay silent, Matilda suddenly remembered that the golden emperor was able to do something that no one else could do!
“I will also bring back the old library in the Golden Haven pace. The Golden Emperor will be the only one to read those books. Did I also mention that only Golden Emperors are able to…” Matilda stopped midway and remembered something quite important to what she was just about to say.
Looking at his beloved, Matthew asked her quietly what was wrong.
Eyeing him, Matilda sorta wished that she didn’t say her st sentence, simply because some here knew it was wrong!
“What are you hiding now?”
Matilda looked at them and apologized, “Well, I was going to state that golden emperors can learn to use the divine beasts, to which they can…They just aren’t the only ones.”
“Who else can do it?”
Taking a deep breath in, Matilda said, “Shaman’s…Remember?”
It probably wasn’t a good idea to state this…What if they want to go to war! Getting a divine beast had already proven its destruction as there was no more indigo haven!
Whispers were heard and Matilda stayed silent for a moment, this probably wasn’t going too well…And they hadn’t even started yet!
“What else? What else can the golden emperor do?” Austin asked.
Well, that’s nice, a distraction!
With a quick look into Austin’s thinking, it seemed he had asked this for more than one reason…One reason was to change the subject, as he could see problems...And well, he was indeed still interested anyway.
Shrugging, Matilda leaned against a table and tried to remember the past. She had been an Empress here before, apparently, so shouldn’t she know all this!?
Nope! I can’t remember a damned thing!
“The golden emperor will have his own lot of cultivators that will know the bending space meditation.”
With that, she had their attention!
“The anti-beast barrier is apparently in their power as well. It was a golden emperor that took down the anti-beast barrier of Indigo Haven and then controlled a divine beast to destroy it.”
Not good, this is all warmongering things! What about nice things!?
It sucked how much attention Matilda now had. She had stated things that were probably bad but is it a men thing? Or a boy thing? That they like big guns and nukes? She’d also said it…That the golden emperor had the power to control divine beasts…
Whatever…
“The golden emperor is to try to keep each haven in check. He is supposed to treat them equally. They used to have it so that one woman from each haven would become his wife and then he would grant each of them a male child. Each child has a chance of becoming the next golden emperor. In the past they did not have a dedicated ‘crowned prince’ like the emperors of today may do. Instead, the Golden Heirs, like now, they try to do deeds to get the approval to become the next golden emperor, even before their father has passed…There’s more to it but it basically is stated that the one who becomes the golden emperor is the best man for the job…”
By now she was sorta babbling information, not sure on what to say next.
“Who’d wanna be the emperor of this dump!?” A voice stated.
Matilda looked at them all and said, “I will help with the restoration of golden haven. That building there, that wasn’t there a month ago…So, over time, I will be able to bring golden haven to its former glory. I will obviously teach the Bending Space Meditation to a few people as well.”
“Can you come to my haven to teach and build for me?”
Matilda looked at the Blue Haven Emperor and smiled to his wink. It seemed he wanted people to know that he trusted her.
“Just to make it clear once again.” Matilda started, “The sooner we are able to choose the golden emperor, the sooner you will be able to go home.”
She saw the Dusk Emperor shake his head but there were no other immediate problems right at this moment.
If Matilda had to choose what was the biggest thing going around…It was probably curiosity.
“Surely, if it were to take too long, you’d be able to let us go back.” Someone asked, most likely an emperor.
Matilda tried to look patient and went to talk but Matthew spoke instead, “Well, if you all can get your heads together, we could be done as early as today…Perhaps…Actually, please tell us, Matilda, how we will see the talents of the golden heirs.”
Slowly nodding to Matthew, Matilda stood closer to them and put her hands together, “A great leader must be able to handle certain situations and the biggest situation they need to handle is to get all of the emperor’s to side with them. Beyond that, if you wanted to see them fight, we could hold five or ten minute fights with either cultivation or without cultivation. There is also their talents and how they have handled any problems that they may have had to deal with.”
“How can we know about all this in such a small amount of time?” One of the crowd asked.
Matilda smiled, “That is what I’m for! As they may talk to you, trying to basically sell themselves, I will show you their memories. It could be anything from cultivation, to doing work with other people and as simply as…Say painting…Or whatever…”
“…And you say we could be done as early as today?”
Looking sideways at Matthew, Matilda raised her eyebrows, “Well, maybe if we get into it but in my opinion, I don’t believe it would be done today. The golden emperor is your future. He will basically be the father of all havens! You don’t want to rush and choose just anyone! Choose someone that you can put your faith in, that will listen properly and do what is required of a golden haven emperor…Something like that, I would assume, should take more than one day.”
You know…Like Rome…
