For much of its existence, humanity was at the top of the food chain. Humans were the predators; The beings which controlled the planet they inhabited. The Earth was theirs, after all. That was the undeniable truth for all people, an undisputed fact no one human would deny. But, it was not the truth. Not truly.In the cloak of night existed a threat, one that hunted humans. Monsters that could sustain themselves upon one thing and one thing only: The blood of humans. Without it, in no more than a month or two, they would become ravenous, unthinking beasts that could not be stopped by any lone human. And, when the existence of this hidden threat became public knowledge, for the first time, humanity was threatened by something other than itself.
