A shooting star crashed into the Earth resulting in a huge crater that held something unknown at its center in the Earth. "What was discovered" was kept undislclosed to the general public. It was foreign technology that wasn''''t made from any Earthling(s). Still undisclosed to the general public, "select groups of Earth''''s people (humans)" had been trying to do all that they could think of doing to/with that technology. Over several years, they managed to ""reverse engineer" that technology" to an extent, resulting in much of Earth''''s recent technological breakthroughs and achievements. AI have become commonplace in various ways/devices/robotics. Mechs have finally been brought to fruition, various models, and have become war-related weaponry and showcasings of countries'''' power. One country has developed a massive army of ai-operated mechs, has began launching "attacks and war" against the country that has the aforementioned technology that had caused the crator long ago. Lots of bloodshed. Over time, "the country that was initially attacked" had managed to hack a multitude of the enemy country''''s mechs, shifting who is winning battles. The ai had become saavy to hacking methods and started their own "attacks via hacking" on very many various "devices, vehicles, ai, and mechs" all over the country they are attacking. They finally reached the technology that they were trying to get (to/at), and the "ai that control mechs" had tried to "power on" and hack the foreign technology. The foreign technology "was and is" a mech itself, and sent a "visible signal stream to the sky" that exited the planet and traveled to a destination unknown to Earthlings, that visible signal straleam''''s visibility lasting only two minutes. Most of Earth''''s countries now deem the "country that has the army of ai-controlled mechs" and "ai in general" as top level threats to mankind in general" as a result of such events. The ai struggle to not be destroyed by humans and war is complicated nowadays with, still, lots of bloodshed. And now, "something foreign to Earth" has arrived.
