Winter came to an end, in the hidden valley it was a lot milder than everywhere else on the mountain. The bear didn't hibernate, or wake up when I went to check, and the birds are still there as if nothing.

  Winter lasted about 6 months, apparently this area doesn't really have fall, and I keep my little routine : Wake up, collect wood while doing my morning ablution, fishing until midday, fish cooked on fire for lunch, two hours of meditation and soul inspecting, a little bit of sport, running around the valley, collecting some dead deer to get leather and keep working on improvising leather-working. I will manage to make cloths and a backpack !

  Then an hour of exp farming, and feeding the foxes I guess, the critters started to come around every night to lick the blood on my spot, don't know how to feel about that, but at least they don't level up.

  And then a bit of managing the little tree house, a bit more of tool making and things.

  My skills increased nicely :

  I'm also half way to level 9, I choose to increase my magicus to 3 with my free attribute point, mainly to get a higher range of exploring with my soul projection, but it helped a bit with my progress in magic. Especially since the new ability I got will help me regenerate my mana.

  Bit annoying that half my attacks abilities are very expensive but it technically reduce my soul strike cost by 25%, so it should help a bit against the bear. And since it stole the magic points, I guess it will be useful against caster if I find monster that use magic. And if I wait long enough, I could get to a point where my soul attack steal more magic point than what it cost, but yeah, I did a bit of calculus and it will be a while.

  Based on my current rate of progression, I think I will be able to get to level 10 in a year and a half, level 1 to 10 in a little more than 2 years is apparently very impressive, so as soon as I find someone to tell, I will be sure to brag.

  What's annoying is that the bear also got a level up, bringing him to 11. He fused his class, as most animals do, so he's not gaining two abilities, but it's still annoying. Especially since he can now better pinpoint my presence when I use my soul form to watch him. He can't hurt me as a soul, but I can't do enough damage either. I was hoping the drain in magic point may be enough to get him unconscious, but it apparently doesn't work like that.It's more of a me thing, where my regeneration keep me awake until a run out of magic point.

  With the spring coming back, the now usual weight of cold mana start to leave the air, and as the tree come back to life I can feel the nature mana feeling the valley. I'm looking forward to train my soul magic on growing plants and things, maybe make a little garden ?

  What I was not looking forward was all the bugs that came back and that continue to crawl all around my space. Which gave me an idea.
