Epilogue

  News: At the start of this week, the Ethos Corporation research base on Svartalfheim island was damaged in a massive explosion. Omni Ethos claims this explosion was caused by dangerous chemicals that were being tested. Construction crew members tasked with rebuilding the damaged areas of the facility have reported poor living conditions for many different kinds of animals, causing the local government to launch its own investigation into the base. The shady events around the Ethos Corporation don't stop there. Their research base in the Muspelheim desert was destroyed earlier this week. Shortly after, people were found wondering around the desert. Once treated, these people reported that they were used as slaves for the Ethos Corporation. This calls into question the ethics and future of the company.

  The team is sitting in Odin's living-room, watching the news.

  Keanu: Looks like justice wins yet again.

  Odin: I just remembered, weren't you gonna offer me something earlier this week?

  Keanu: Ah, yes.

  Keanu mutes the TV.

  Keanu: I think we all know that the future is in danger. I propose a way to protect it. We could start this company with the main goal of bringing heroes together and distributing them to the right places at the right time. And, when the time comes, we'll have an army of heroes to save the world.

  Odin: Organized crime fighting? I like the idea. Got a name for it?

  Keanu: I haven't gotten to that yet. I've been rather busy.

  James: What if you call it “The Galactic Defense Division?”

  The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

  Odin: Sounds like a government branch. A good company name is short and memorable. Take “Odin Tech” for example. It also gets to the point.

  Wolf: How about “Star Fight?” People among the stars looking to fight crime.

  Odin: That one's much better.

  The doorbell rings and Odin gets up.

  Odin: Let's all think about a name like “Star Fight.”

  Odin opens the front door to Biggs, Wedge, and Heft. Wedge has a yellow bandana on his head and Heft has a knight's helmet on his head.

  Wedge: Are those wooden boards up there?

  Odin: Uh, yeah. Your boss did that.

  Biggs: Not our boss anymore.

  Wedge: We're not cool with child murder.

  Heft: Eh.

  Odin: Okay. What are you doing here?

  Wedge: Not spilling your secrets.

  Biggs: Wedge!... We're good at keeping secrets, but not so much at keeping jobs. We were wondering if you had anything we could do?

  Odin: Actually, a lot of positions are gonna open up in a few years. But, until then-

  Later, Biggs, Wedge, and Heft find themselves in the Hjarta Steinn jail.

  Wedge: Well, we got jobs.

  Biggs: Yeah, but this time around, we'll pay off our tabs to society.

  Heft: Eh.

  Biggs: Maybe Smalls will forgive me...
