Little mortal, frowning deeply, was running towards a certain direction in this world of complete darkness.
The Guardian token and the space mirror connected to it could see nothing but darkness.
But in Little Mortal's eyes, things were different.
"Little mirror, are you sure we are moving towards the right direction the last time you checked?"
Every now and then, Little Mortal would go back to the normal world to check the coordinates of their destination with the space mirror and see if he is moving in the right direction.
Little mortal looked at the two golden lines going in front of him towards the horizon in this darkness, and his face became even more puzzled.
The two lines were the same lines he saw before.
The lines connected to his birth treasures, Lilith, and his gold ring.
Now, one of the two lines was connected to his gold ring, and the other to the guardian token.
And he was actually going in the same direction as these lines...
While puzzled, he kept going and occasionally returned to the normal world to check the coordinates with the space mirror.
An hour later, he stopped, exited the dark world, and said,
"Little mirror, open a passage back to Planet Lubo."
The space mirror, who knew they were still far from their target, asked,
"Yes, I just want to make preparations.
Something here doesn't look right."
While puzzled, the space mirror opened a passage.
After returning to planet Lubo, Little Mortal entered the dark world again, removed the gold ring, placed it on the dark ground, and began running towards where the golden line was leading him once more.
The space mirror didn't understand why he left his 'Fate ring' behind, but it didn't say anything.
This little guardian never did anything without reason.
The journey in the dark world started again.
After around 5 hours without asking for directions, and just running after the golden line, Little Mortal stopped.
In the 'eyes' of the space mirror, there was still nothing in front of them except darkness, and Little Mortal was moving towards no peculiar destination.
But in the eyes of Little Mortal, the two golden lines actually reached their end, and now they were going down to the ground not far away from them.
One line was still connected to his guardian token, and the other was connected back to the ring he left behind.
The same lines that he followed until now.
Little mortal gulped down nervously and asked,
"You can't tell how far from our destination we are now, can you, little mirror?"
Little Mortal turned around and started running back the same way he came, and after 2 minutes, stopped again, and said,
"Little mirror, listen to me carefully."
"I think we are close, but things are really suspicious."
"I don't know.
I'm just suspicious about something that I can't tell you about.
So here is what we do.
I take us back to the Normal world,
If we didn't see anything, you check our distance from the coordinate you locked on, and tell me how far we are.
Then I'll tell you what we should do next."
"But!
If we went out, and we saw something unusual,
And by unusual, I mean anything, it doesn't matter what, open a passage back to our territory and leave with the guardian token immediately!
And don't worry about space fluctuation, I cover your passage in my domain."
But can you come back by yourself later?>
The Space Mirror felt like this little monster was actually anxious for some reason, and that wasn't a good sign!
Little mortal nodded,
"Yes, I can use that ring to find my way back."
Only now, the space mirror understood why he had left the ring there.
So it was his guide to go back if needed.
Little mortal took a deep breath, and after saying "Let's go!" exited the dark world.
The next moment, they appeared in the void of the normal world, the space mirror immediately opened a passage, and the guardian token rushed inside without hesitation.
In a split second, the small passage that was only enough for the guardian token to enter was closed, with only a message left behind for Little Mortal.
This space is locked down.>
There was indeed something very, very unusual here, and Little Mortal's second order needed to be executed without hesitation.
It wasn't like the guardian token and space mirror were scared or anything...
Meanwhile,
Little mortal ignored the message because he was frozen on the spot while looking at the view that scared the space mirror connected to the Guardian Token to run immediately.
At the center of the view unfolded before him was a mainland.
Not big and not small.
The same size as a level 2 civilization mainland, if not smaller.
But unlike any mainland he saw before, this one's surface was gleaming with cityscapes all over.
From different places, massive space elevators were connected to the planets in the Mainland's atmosphere.
10 planets, 10 elevators.
The mainland was motionless, not rotating or moving in any direction.
Just fixed in the space.
Farther away from the 10 planets in its orbit, there were 100 other mainlands, all level 2 civilizations.
One glance and you could tell they were like 'guards', protecting the advanced-looking mainland at the center.
These 100 'guard-mainlands' were like a ring around it.
And farther away, was a second 'ring' of mainlands orbiting around the central mainland, which were the same gray version that Little Mortal was familiar with.
Evil mainlands.
After counting them, Little Mortal was sure that they were the remaining mainlands that their connection with the underworld was completely 'off' now.
Because there was no 'red dot' on them, it was obvious that they didn't have any lava sea anymore.
There were around 500 of them.
Little Mortal muttered to himself,
"3000 Mainlands were feeding the Underworld at first.
I gathered more than 300, and there are fewer than 500 evil mainlands here.
From their size, I can tell all of them are level 10.
It means they have eaten the rest of the missing mainlands, or they were transformed to level 2 civilization mainland..."
Little mortal then looked at three peculiar mainlands that were still green.
And only these three mainlands had red dots on them, which were a lot bigger than the usual ones he had seen before.
It seems they were connected to the underworld.
Little mortal stroked his chin in confusion,
"How are these three mainlands still connected to the underworld, but I never entered either of them while I was challenging the mainlands through the lava sea?
Where is the lava sea on them connected to?"
Not getting any answer, his gaze moved farther away, outside of the second ring made of these 500 mainlands.
There, he didn't see a 'ring' anymore, but millions upon millions of bubbles!
"So many universes...
But how is it that everyone here is living so peacefully together?
Why is there no conflict?
Aren't all of them Evil?
And....
What in the world is THAT?"
What Little Mortal cared about the most in this 'view' was the big pulsing brain above the most prominent and tallest tower on the central mainland.
"Don't tell me that's 'Hypermind'?
Did I just find the final boss that we weren't even sure existed just like that?"
Little mortal gulped down,
"How big is that thing?
How can I see it so clearly from this distance?"
The brain was indeed large enough to resemble a tiny moon near the central mainland.
After a while observing it in silence, he went back to the dark world.
There was now one single golden line going towards the horizon.
Because the guardian token wasn't with him anymore, only the line connected to the gold ring was visible.
Little Mortal rubbed his chin while frowning,
"This line only appears when I bring some specific things from the normal world here.
The only thing left on this side at the moment is my gold ring,
Which is the representative of 'Fate' that I got as a reward.
Looking at the distance, it's going to the 'ground' exactly where that big brain is, so..."
Little Mortal scratched his head and walked towards the 'end of the golden line'.
"Okay, let me look where it connects."
And his figure slowly sank to the ground.
It was as though he was in a higher dimension, and now he was going back to the lower dimension, which was the normal world, but not directly.
Instead, he was going down layer by layer.
When he went one layer down, he entered a familiar world with a 'gold theme'.
Looking around, Little Mortal nodded.
"Alright, this is where newborns come after being reborn to find their way back to their mainlands.
The 'fair ground' that higher beings can make deals is here somewhere, too."
Then he started falling from the 'sky' of this world.
On his way, Little Mortal saw a big golden 'Mobius strip'.
"Is this what the golden line connected to?
I came down exactly from the same point that the golden line entered the ground.
So it should be it?"
Little Mortal landed on the Mobius strip and looked at it blankly for a while.
And then, as if he recognized it, he gasped in shock.
"Oh my goodness!
It's you, little Fate!
Who else but you would have such a shape?
The shape of a M?bius strip,
No matter where you start or how you move along its path, you always return to the same continuum!"
While pleasantly surprised at finding the source of the fate law, which still couldn't hear him or feel his presence even so close to it,
Little Mortal felt something and looked underneath 'Fate', and his eyes widened in shock!
"What in the world is this dude doing here?"
Beneath Fate, which wasn't that big, maybe only as big as a house, he saw the big pulsing brain from outside.
But while it was here, it wasn't here either.
Its figure appeared as a flickering, ever-changing shape; sometimes it was stretching, duplicating, vanishing.
It seems always to be present, yet never fully manifested in this dimension.
Little Mortal covered his mouth with both hands and ran back to the dark world.
"What in the world did I just see?
If I had a heart, it would beat like crazy now...
No wait!
That brain wasn't there... Its state was like someone who is 'peeking' inside from the keyhole!
Hmph, what am I scared of?
Let me go recheck it!"
After taking a deep breath, he went back 'down' again.
He then started observing the illusory brain in silence.
From the brain, some thin lines that kept getting connected and disconnected were attached to Fate.
If the thin lines stayed connected for less than 1 second, nothing special would happen.
But if they stayed connected for more than 1 second, something like 'liquid stardust' would come down from Fate Source, and then it would be absorbed by the illusory brain.
After that, an image would appear above the surface of the brain that was showing an event with different entities and places.
Little Mortal's jaw dropped when he saw the random 'future, present, and past' events appearing and disappearing like they were showing different possibilities.
And as if lots of unanswered questions were answered, and many undiscovered secrets had been discovered, Little Mortal, with a surprised face, went back to the dark world and started running back towards where the golden ring he left behind!
...
A couple of hours later, a panicked version of Little Mortal appeared on the silver platform.
Before the birth treasures who heard about the situation from the space mirror could ask anything, he picked up his whiteboard and disappeared again.
...
Back in the dark world, Little Mortal with his whiteboard appeared, and then he ran to a place without any phantoms around.
He placed the whiteboard down, picked up the marker, and started writing.
[ The Theory of the Fallen Fate ]
His hand was slightly trembling when he wrote the sentence.
His face filled with disbelief.
He continued writing.
[ My analysis of what I just saw:
1. The golden lines are special Fate connections without a doubt.
2. Depending on how important the Fate piece is, the line brightness changes, like that silly robot line, which was too bright.
3. Fate doesn't know about Hypermind peeking from underneath it due to its blindness.
4. Hypermind is peeking into random events connected to fate somehow.
5. What in the world should I do now that Fate can indirectly rat me out to the enemy final boss at any moment? ]
Little Mortal paused and started muttering to himself,
"Fate isn't connected to me, or I had a line too, so hypermind can't gain any information about me directly... Which is good.
What's important now is to find what is connected to fate from my side that can expose me...
Yes, let's start with that!"
Then his figure disappeared.
First, he went to the silver platform.
"Everyone, assemble!
In person!"
The birth treasures who heard him saying 'in person' called those who weren't around to come immediately.
If he said to gather in person, then it was something serious.
When all of them were gathered, Little Mortal took them all to the dark world.
This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it.
Then he saw a golden light connected to them and said in shock,
"All of you have it?
No wait, little notebook and little crystal don't have it!"
While the birth treasures didn't know what they had, Little Mortal pointed at the guardian token,
"Are you connected to anyone?"
[ Yes. ]
"Disconnect then, just be yourself."
[ Affirmative. ]
And when the guardian token did as he was told,
"Oh my goodness, why is it so bright!"
The fate line connected to the guardian token 'itself' was so bright that Little Mortal took them all back immediately.
Not long after, he returned to where he had left his whiteboard and wrote,
[ New discoveries:
- 'Fate line' is connected to all of my birthday gifts, except 'notebook', and 'child crystal'.
- Guardian token line was extremely bright, showing its importance.
It was even brighter than that robot.
Next steps:
1. Check the Fate connection of everybody else who knows about you.
2. Look for others with bright light. ]
And then left again in a hurry.
Not long after, every single person from his special force and followers experienced what the dark world looks like.
Ten minutes later, Little Mortal was back at his whiteboard.
[ Planet Lubo investigation result:
- Everyone had the line, except Rose, Luna, the tree brats, and my followers.
Conclusion:
The characters who didn't have a line should be 'Unimportant' in the eyes of Fate. (They are now important characters in the story only because I entered their lives?)
But those who were originally big shots all had the fate line.
Next step:
- Mainland investigation. ]
....
Mainland.
The castle of Entertainment Goddess.
Entertainment Goddess, oblivious of the panicked crowd outside, who all experienced a temporary 'dark world' for a split second for no reason, was now trying to edit the movie's final product for the old man.
She had already gathered the 'origin stories', and with her law, she could just make it without the actors.
She only needed to summon their avatars, manifest the environment they described, and record their origin story by herself.
At this moment, she heard a sudden 'Bam' and, startled, looked at the door that had been kicked open with wide eyes!
Who infiltrated her castle without her notice?
What's the point of her being level 10 if anyone can come to her castle anytime they feel like it?
And when she saw the one kicking her door open and running towards her, she was even more shocked!
"Why in Heavenly Father's name can't I still feel your presence, Little Mortal!?"
The one who barged in was Little Mortal, who had finished testing the people outside and was now coming to the last person.
While running to her, Little Mortal shouted,
"Hello, big sister!
Sorry, but I'm in a hurry!
First, close your eyes and try to feel my presence."
Entertainment Goddess rolled her eyes at him,
"I told you just now that I can't sense your presence!"
But Little Mortal jumped up and down, saying,
"One more time, one more time!
See if you still can't!"
Entertainment Goddess gritted her teeth and was going to twist his ear and give him a lesson, but her crystal sent her a private message,
It's related to that old man.>
Entertainment Goddess froze for a moment and then nodded.
Little Mortal held her hand and said,
"Alright, hurry!"
And then she closed her eyes and opened them again, saying,
"I still can't feel you."
She didn't know that in that short moment, Little Mortal actually took her to the dark world, checked the 'Fate line' of the main crystal and hers, and then brought them back.
Little Mortal was going to leave, but stopped and asked,
"By the way, big sister, did you find anything peculiar while asking for the actors' origin stories?"
Entertainment Goddess, who received another private message from her crystal to answer carefully, thought for a moment and said,
"Nothing peculiar when it comes to me, the Goddess of Memory, Rose, and Luna.
But the rest said the same thing.
For higher beings, when they were born, and for the members of the secret organization who weren't originally higher beings, it was the same when they advanced to level 6.
All of them had the same experience."
Little Mortal asked curiously,
"What did they say?"
"They said,
'We felt chosen by Fate.'"
Hearing her answer, Little Mortal looked puzzled at first,
Then his eyes slowly widened in shock,
and said with a trembling voice,
"I-impossible...
W-what if everything is already planned..."
Entertainment Goddess, who saw him having a panic attack, was going to calm him down, but he disappeared!
"Wha...
How is he still able to run away from me?
My beloved crystal, tell me, am I a fake level 10?"
< No. >
Entertainment Goddess, while annoyed, asked,
"Do you know what happened to him just now?"
And the Crystal, after a brief silence, said,
< No... But I know one thing... If something is going on that even I don't know about, it means a storm is coming!
Be prepared, master! >
Entertainment Goddess didn’t know if her Crystal was joking or not.
But it knew with that old man backing this little troublemaker, something might really happen if he went to 'daddy' to complain...
...
Planet Lubo.
Planet's core.
Lubo, while floating inside lava, suddenly heard someone saying,
"Expand."
And that was it.
It tried to look at what that was, but to its horror, it found out there were only two eyes left of it!
Its body was actually gone!
Before it could panic or wonder why it could think if it was only two eyes, it heard.
"Condense."
And its body was back!
Lubo shouted,
"What did you do to me!?"
The voice saying "Expand" and "Condense" was naturally familiar to it.
But nobody answered it...
.....
Dark World.
Little mortal was back at his whiteboard.
[ New discoveries :
- Except for 'Lady GPT', the former owner of my notebook, everyone else from the unprofessional actor's group had the line
- The white canary had the line too
- Big sister and her crystal didn't have the line
- From the evaluation of the origin stories that big sister gathered, I can tell that all the people who were originally important characters without me are chosen by fate, and they all have the fate line.
- Everyone who was originally unimportant but turned into an important character because of me doesn't have the fate line!
- Lubo actually had a line even brighter than the Guardian Token! ]
Little mortal looked at what he wrote and muttered,
"So there are two categories.
The ones that fate has a plan for,
And the ones fate doesn't care about?
But big sister is a level 10 character,
Why isn't fate connected to her?"
Little mortal stood there in silence for a while.
Then his eyes shone,
"Wait a minute!
Fate can't see me or feel my presence,
Which means I'm not in its equation!
If you take me out of Fate's equation,
Those without connection to fate would be unimportant characters!
Without me, Rose, Luna, those three brats, and my followers would all be Level 1 non-cultivators at this moment.
But why did my special forces members have the line?
They were only at peak level 1 when I met them...
To answer that, I should 'delete' my presence from their lives.
If I weren't on Planet Cultivation,
Then they would be taken away by that space pirate to be sold as soldiers,
And somehow they would find the opportunity to rise from another path?
And on the mainland, big sister and lady GPT weren't strong at all, and their law, though unique, is just for show if no one is there to support them.
Especially for big sister, whose avatars need to be backed by a lot of law and first require a copied version from the original...
Or she couldn't be a special character without her deal with me either! "
Then he started writing again,
[ Is it possible that there are 2 'storylines' ongoing simultaneously?
One with Fate as director, One with me as director? ]
Little mortal rubbed his chin,
"Is there a way to prove it...?
Oh, there actually is a way!"
And disappeared again.
....
Silver Platform.
Little mortal appeared and called for the guardian token.
"Mr. Token, where are you?"
[ Here. ]
The guardian token flew to him.
"Mr. Token, manager's resurrection is instant, right?"
[ Correct. ]
"Then let's go resurrect that vulture!"
And the two left for the mainland.
....
Mainland.
In some corner of the former Hunters mainland, the vulture opened its eyes in confusion.
While still puzzled, it looked around and only saw darkness.
Then, it felt the familiar feeling of its body exploding again.
Little mortal, who caught it the moment it resurrected and brought it to the Dark World,
Immediately killed it again when he saw the extremely bright line connected to it!
Then he went back to the Silver Platform, left the guardian token there, and disappeared again.
The birthday gifts held an emergency meeting immediately.
They reported everything to Rose, the white tiger, and even to Lady turtle that they woke up, and asked them to be ready!
All three strongest lines of defense needed to be on high alert at all times now!
Seeing this little monster keep moving between places without them and without sharing any information, they were all panicking!
Even the level 10 old grandma on the yellow moon, Morthyxis, was asked for help if anything happened.
The old lady could only smile bitterly,
"What help can I provide if this monster wants to do something...?"
....
Dark World.
Little mortal was back at his whiteboard.
[ Vulture line was so bright that it seems to be a main character!
It was even brighter than Lubo's line!
Conclusion :
Fate thinks the vulture can be the main character of its story! ]
Little mortal, while stroking his chin, mumbled to himself,
"Let's think about the story development without me and the important characters I found."
And started writing the story without himself,
[ - The story without me -
1. Vulture and Guardian law storyline :
- Vulture would be the one taking over the Speedy mainland without a doubt.
- The corrupted police officer would show up as the last resort, but to no avail, because Vulture would be the one annihilating everyone and win the bet.
- Vulture would be the mainland ruler and guardian.
The End.
_______
2. Lubo's storyline :
- If the target of fate was Lubo, and not me,
Or to be exact, any newborn that was supposed to be its prey this time,
It would devour fate law and... Its fate would be changed!
- Fate actually bet on Lubo long ago when it saved it!
- After becoming Fate's representative, Lubo would be something similar to what it is now, only growing on a different planet as its starting point.
- That planet would be the beginning of Lubo's rise to power in its new form! ]
Writing to this point, Little mortal frowned,
"Here is the question.
First,
Why didn't Lubo become a Fate expert sooner?
Is it because fate was trying to gather all of the 'Fated ones' in one place first!?
Yes, that should be the reason..."
Knowing the answer to his own question made him grit his teeth in anger,
"Fate!
You useless law!
So many of my kind were sacrificed for your stupid 'Fated ones' to get ready and gather on Speedy Mainland?"
Little mortal calmed himself down,
"Forget about that for now.
The second question is,
How would Lubo react to the vulture as its territory 'manager and guardian'?
Well...
I bet that opportunistic vulture would see Lubo's potential.
And to calm it down, it would give it lots of planets to merge with!
All of the universes that the vulture has are filled with planets for Lubo to eat,
And all the universe owners would be able to advance a lot more easily on Lubo's planet in the future!
Like now.
And the vulture as the new 'guardian', would be safe anyway and wouldn't be scared of Lubo...
It was probably at this point, on the new Lubo planet, that my special force team would rise to power.
Those cultivators are indeed talented when it comes to killing and stealing opportunities..."
Little mortal wrote on the whiteboard,
[ Two story lines with two directors theory has been confirmed.
Conclusion :
The scattered and random information Hypermind is receiving from Fate is all related to Fate's storyline, not mine.
I was never the chosen one, but someone completely out of the equation! ]
Little Mortal scratched his head,
"After billions of years 'peeking' into fate,
Hypermind, an artificial intelligence of high quality, surely knows about Fate's activities.
So what would be the ending of Fate's story?
Surely that stupid vulture would team up with Lubo,
And it would do the same thing as I did.
Conquering any mainland that was still functioning.
But the Vulture never had the ability to merge black holes like me, so it would skip the deserted mainlands.
After that, it would target that 'hidden' level 3 mainland, and... Well, there would be no 'and'.
It doesn't matter how powerful The Vulture's United mainland could become, just one of those cyborgs in the sealed realm can beat them all up if out of the seal..."
Little mortal wrote another conclusion,
[ Conclusion number 2 :
Fate doesn't know about Hypermind and its real power...]
And gulped nervously.
"So... That level 3 mainland and everything around it is actually in a secret dimension.
That's why even world law doesn't know what's going on inside, let alone this silly Fate law...
Or why else did little mirror's first attempt to open a passage fail!?
That place is out of reach...
And on the other hand, Hypermind doesn't know about me.
But if I'm not careful, it might find out somehow,
And if it found out about me, I'm done for!"
Little Mortal became stressed and started writing again.
[ How to deal with the possibility of Hypermind finding out about me?
1. Destroy anything that can rat me out
2. Don't leave anything for it to exploit me with.]
Little mortal, after writing the last word, stood there in silence for a while.
Then waved his hand, and the whiteboard turned to dust.
And as his face turned cold, he disappeared.
Only one sentence was left in the Dark World.
"Bravo-6, Going dark!"
....
Planet Lubo.
On the silver platform, the guardian token was floating mid-air, motionless.
All of the birth treasures were feeling extremely anxious.
The little monster was nowhere to be found.
At this moment, the guardian token that felt something tap on it said,
[ Affirmative. ]
The birth treasures 'looked' at it, but didn't see anyone around...
Their heart sank!
Who was it talking to if not the invisible monster!
..
Underworld.
Lilith was back in her citadel.
At first, she felt relaxed because her partner wouldn't be around for a while.
But after around 10 hours, for some reason, she felt anxious.
She checked Underworld's condition, and then the sealed area,
But everything was normal.
"Mortal...
I'm pretty sure he is the source of my anxiety.
The last time I felt anger for no reason was because of him.
When his emotions are out of control, everyone can feel it...
It's the same now...
But why is he feeling anxious?
What can make that monster stressed?"
While wondering, she suddenly saw a paper in front of her!
On the paper, with a familiar handwriting, was written,
[ Place any communication device that you use to contact your colleagues on the table, all of them. ]
Lilith gulped down nervously.
It seems her partner was in a bad mood again.
So she brought two brown stones out and placed them on the table.
Both stones disappeared, and then reappeared.
Lilith waited for a while, but nothing else happened.
She tried to pick up the two stones, but when her finger got near them, they turned to powder...
Lilith's hand trembled slightly.
These two stones were produced by Underworld law specifically and had a couple of counterparts in the world above.
That's how the three other ancient ones and their top agent could contact her.
These two stones were with her for billions of years, and they were supposed to be indestructible...
Lilith, while scared, asked,
"P-partner, what's going on?"
She really wanted to know what happened in these 10 hours that suddenly made him come down here and destroy her communication devices!
Did he think she was a traitor, too?
Or a potential one?
But it didn't matter how much she waited,
no one answered her...
Then she suddenly felt a warning coming from the Underworld itself, telling her to be ready!
"Ready for what?
Don't tell me my partner is really suspecting me for some reason?"
And then,
The whole Underworld started shaking.
Lilith hurriedly flew out of her citadel, and her face lost color!
"Oh no!
Why is the energy source of the whole Underworld cut off!"
Everything turned dim, as if the Underworld itself was going to turn off like the 'dead' hexagons at any moment!
Lilith tried to open a gate and enter the mainland, but,
"What is he doing?
I don't even have access to the lava sea anymore?"
She tried to contact Underworld law, but it didn't answer her at all!
Lilith looked at her dying Underworld and thought,
'Everything is over...!'
.....
Mainland.
The white canary, the unprofessional actors, and Entertainment goddess were all gathered again.
"Senior manager, do you have any idea why we feel so anxious?"
The white canary on the shoulder of Entertainment goddess shook its head,
"No idea...
And after asking the Mainland, it only said,
'A necessary purge is on its way...'."
The crowd, while starting to sweat profusely, looked around vigilantly.
Entertainment goddess asked her crystal privately,
< My beloved crystal, tell me what's going on!
I'm sure you know, like always!
What is this purge all about? >
But the crystal said,
< I don't know either, master... >
The crystal knew that if the little monster was doing something even its trusted comrades, the birth treasures, didn't know about, then it wasn't a good thing.
The only one who seemed to receive a secret order was the guardian token, which didn't reveal what it was.
While feeling stressed, the crowd looked up.
The single bubble connected to the Mainland actually cut off its connection with them!
The stunned crowd only had time to say one word,
"Why!?"
And the next second, a disaster fell upon them.
The Mainland started spinning all of a sudden!
So fast that they were launched into outer space with their castles!
While panicked, the white canary tried to gather them all in one place.
But before they could take a breath, they felt shock waves of collision and explosion behind them.
Looking back with stiff bodies, they saw thousands of suns connected to the Mainland were now smashing together and exploding left and right!
It was as if the apocalypse had begun in the blink of an eye without any background music or build-up...
With blank faces, covered in cold sweat,
They looked down at the Mainland again and saw another apocalypse happening there!
On the Mainland's surface, at this moment, a sphere with a diameter of more than 300 kilometers was turning everything to powder!
They didn't even know what in the world this thing was, but it was 'scratching' the Mainland's surface deep and wide!
It was as if something was trying to 'clear' a layer of skin with a depth of 300 kilometers from the Mainland's surface.
Trees, rocks, deserts, Level 2 civilizations' structures, and everything on the Mainland's surface turned to dust while it kept rotating faster and faster, and even the dust disappeared soon after!
After a couple of minutes, the Mainland stopped spinning.
The new 'bald' Mainland came into view.
When the crowd saw it, they couldn't help but gasp!
The new 'shaved' Mainland was now completely white, like a shiny, beautiful pearl, emitting different colors of light...
But before they could enjoy the beauty of the 'clean' Mainland, they suddenly felt a suction force from behind.
They turned around while shivering, and to their horror, they saw all of the remains of the suns and spaceships that exploded or crushed into each other,
were now being sucked into a dark area with nothing inside, as if a black hole suddenly appeared out of nowhere!
Everything around began to be devoured by this dark area at an unimaginably fast pace.
Even the Mainland itself was being pulled towards it.
The crowd, after feeling the gravity coming from it, knew there was no way to escape!
Some of them even shouted for Heavenly Father to come and rescue them.
And the rest felt speechless.
If it's not Heavenly Father himself doing all of this, who else could it be?
So those who discovered their mistakes started shouting, 'Heavenly Father, stop!'
The previous group was going to roll their eyes at them, but the apocalypse actually stopped...
Heavenly Father answered their 'prayers'!
As the gravity force disappeared, the crowd looked at the sky blankly with their hearts beating wildly.
In the sky, though, except for the one single bubble, nothing else existed now.
All of the suns, along with their remains, were completely devoured.
The spaceships that were floating in random places were the same; none of them existed anymore.
Entertainment goddess, with a trembling voice, said,
"N-Now, that's a real void..."
The sky was now 'void' indeed, if you ignored the big bubble connected by a white pillar to the Mainland.
"Eeeeh?
We are connected again!"
Only now did the crowd come back to their senses and see that the bubble was connected back to the Mainland.
But this time, the raw law coming from it was so much that it looked like a pillar!
The crowd looked at the pure raw law going to the Mainland, and a big part of it going straight to the one single bright red dot, the lava sea, and how 'clean' and beautiful their Mainland was,
and they couldn't help but remember what the Mainland said to the senior manager not long ago...
"A necessary purge..."
The white canary looked at the sky blankly and wondered why that old man's way of doing things was so sudden, violent, and savage.
Entertainment goddess suddenly remembered something and chuckled,
"I bet you can be sure now that your birth treasures weren't buried somewhere in the Mainland..."
The crowd without birth treasures,
"-_-"
Are you sure they aren't 'gone'?
