"Emerome, are you okay?" Raphtalia took the egg back from Emerome, "I am, my lady." Emerome spoke shakily. The thought of potentially getting executed is terrifying. But my lady is here to protect me, so I don't have to worry about it. Emerome took a deep breath. Raphtalia grabbed Emerome's thigh, squeezing it gently. "It's okay, Emerome. Nothing will happen while I'm alive. The good thing is that now, we can be together. So..." Raphtalia used her fire, ice, and water magic to form a frozen obsidian ring with an ice lotus on it, "Emerome Pasvoranii. Will you be much more than just a maid, but be my wife? From today to the day we die?" Raphtalia held Emerome's hand.
"I will, my lady. I'll gladly be your wife, forever and ever. No matter the life we're in." Emerome smiled, crying in joy. Raphtalia slid the ring onto Emerome's finger. "And now, I may kiss my bride." Raphtalia captured Emerome's mouth in a slow kiss. Breaking off the kiss, holding Emerome's tongue between her teeth. "My lady, where are we going?" Emerome asked in a muffled tone. Raphtalia pulled away from Emerome, "My vacation home. It's by the lake where no kingdom has rules over the land. It'll be a quiet place for us." Raphtalia smiled, tracing her nail along Emerome's cheek.
"Okay, my lady." Emerome leaned into Raphtalia's touch, "How long will it take to get there?" Emerome asked. "We'll arrive by dusk," Raphtalia answered. As the carriage ride continued, Raphtalia noticed the egg beginning to hatch, upon seeing the feather of a wing poking out of the egg. "Well, this is bad timing." Raphtalia sighed. "What is my...the egg is hatching!" Emerome squealed. "The egg hatching now is bad timing since this carriage belongs to the royal family. Depending on the dragon, I won't be able to hide it." Raphtalia stated. "How big can a baby dragon get when hatching?" Emerome asked, "Commonly, they're two times the size of their egg. Rarer dragons tend to be between the range of three times to six times. Though I read that the dragon of legend is ten times bigger than their egg." Raphtalia answered.
The two watched as six fluffy wings burst out of the egg that eclipsed the height of the carriage doors. "My lady...is there a way to...halt a hatching?" Emerome stared at the egg warily, "Smaller dragons, you can. But this one, you can't but the egg should compensate by being too tough to easily break through. I suspect it'll fully hatch by the time we arrive." Raphtalia tapped her chin. "My lady, would that estimate be before or after we exit the carriage?" Emerome asked. Raphtalia placed the egg down, shrugging. "Will we be in trouble if the carriage breaks?" Emerome tilted her head, "Not exactly. Depending on the dragon, the kingdom might try to reinstate my marriage with that crown prince to have a dragon fed with my magic under their control." Raphtalia answered.

But by those wings. I only read of one dragon with six fluffy wings. Raphtalia examined the wings, trying to flap. Just as the carriage got a few thousand feet, a large tail made of plasma burst through the egg along with a feminine humanoid head with a second set of eyes, murky wings on the side of the face, hardened magma covering the chin, basalt horns, and fluffy feathers acting as hair. That confirms it, my egg was that of the Child of God, the dragon of legend. Even commoners could identify it with just a glance at its hatching process. Raphtalia watched the dragon open its main eyes, chirping softly.
"That looks like a strange dragon. My lady, what kind is it?" Emerome watched the tail curl up to fit inside the carriage. "My dear, Emerome. This is the dragon of legend, the Child of God. Do you not know what one looks like?" Raphtalia scratched under the dragon's chin. "This is a Child of God!?" Emerome looked over the dragon. "It is, they start at a height of 30ft," Raphtalia said. "Oh...it'll be a very big baby." Emerome watched as the egg cracked more. "Lady Dragonborne, we're here." The carriage driver said, "Alright. I suggest that you get off as well." Raphtalia said.
When the three left the carriage, the dragon broke the carriage as it fully hatched. Emerome examined the dragon's body. Looking over its feminine humanoid upperbody, black crystals lining its neck, runes lining its plasma-made hind legs, fluffy fur covering its ears, neck, wrists, and sides, and crystal and plasma spikes along the spine. The Child of God chirped, showing her two rows of teeth. "My lady, we should name her." Emerome looked at Raphtalia. "You can name her," Raphtalia said.
"Hmm...I'll name her Toanleri." Emerome smiled. "A-a...a Child of God?" The carriage driver muttered. "You can leave now." Raphtalia waved off the carriage driver, "You still have horses, so you can leave." Raphtalia added.
