Craacck! BOOOM!!!
A quick flash of light covered the camp as Civ stared back at the stick that was broken in half.
“No no no..” Civ scrambled to get one of his reserved sticks.
He created a second indention and made the “V” shaped carve next to it.
“Calm down, calm down. You already did this before.” His hands are shaking but he takes a deep breath and gets into the rhythm of palm rubbing the second stick.
But he is feeling a burning sensation in both of his palms.
“Not good.” spits
He quickly spits into both his palms.
Getting into the rhythm. He immediately increases the speed of rubbing. He continued it while spitting on his palm from time to time.
The crowd around the hut started to speculate what Civ was doing. But they did not openly say it. Instead it was passed around the crowd. The Shaman tries her best to apply the ointments to the part of the body where it is very hot. But the little girl is getting visibly paler as time goes on.
Civ ignored what commotion was happening around him. He poured his full attention on this flatwood that started to show a faint smoke again. Right now, he just rubbed the sticks. This is to increase the friction between the stick and the flatwood.
It starts producing constant smoke from the flatwood. He stops and wastes no time making sure to keep the dark dust intact.
Using a small stick, he carefully placed the stick in the indention. Then he slowly removes the flatwood in the small bark where the dark dust is. He gently blows to that dark dust and he sees a red light in the middle.
Civ heart is racing fast!
“Now for the crucial part.” Holding the dried palm tinder, he introduces the smoking dark dust on the center of the tinder.
Civ kneeled and placed the tinder above his head like praying. Gradually, he blows to the tinder where the dark dust is and it starts to smoke also.
A bigger smoke.
The crowd seeing the changes starts to intently look at what Civ is doing.
“Is he praying?” said one of the children
“What is that?” said one of the teenagers to the adults.
“I think I saw that but I did not remember.” said one of the old men.
As the smoke started to grow larger, he started blowing at full force into it and then-
whoosssh
The dimly lit hut was illuminated by the fire coming from the tinder.
The old man shouted and said “Fire!” he immediately kneeled!
Hearing that word, everyone kneeled to Civ. Including the Shaman and the Tribe leader.
“The prophecy came true to our lifetime!” The Shaman acknowledged it and raised his head to the sky.
In other places in the world. Other shaman's eyes rolled and their body shook.
“Shaman!” one of her disciples panicked and held their Shaman.
A couple of seconds later, she faces to the east where a giant tree is visible.
She pointed at it and said, “The prophecy came true to our lifetime!”.
All of the shamans in the world experienced this and said the same phrase. Giving hope to all of the humans who are experiencing hardships in living as a tribe.
Back to Civ, he was shocked that all of them were kneeling. But he composed himself. Then he quickly placed the tinder in the fire pit and put the feathersticks that his Father made to the tinder.
The fire starts to get bigger so he adds more firewood and the hut gets warmer.
Crackle Crackle

“Shaman, please bring the child near the fireplace.”
The kneeling Shaman comes to her senses and carries the child next to the firewood. The child's frowning brows slowly relaxed and sleeping soundly after.
When Civ was sure that the little girl was in a safe condition, he slumped onto the ground.
Whew!
The heavy feeling he had earlier was lifted. Looking around, everyone is still kneeling aside from the Shaman who was staring at him with reverence.
Confused, Civ asks the shaman. “Shaman what is happ-”
Before he could finish, the Shaman respectfully kowtowed “Oh The Chosen of the Sun Goddess. We happily accept the Sun Goddess’s grace!”
Upon hearing this, everyone repeated what the Shaman said. “Oh, The Chosen of the Sun Goddess. We happily accept the Sun Goddess’s grace!”
Startled by the reaction coming from his tribesmen. Civ wants to know what is happening. He wanted to grab the shaman to explain to him what was happening. But seeing how respectful they are, he gently holds the Shaman’s shoulder.
“Raise. Shaman, please tell me what you mean by the Chosen of the Sun Goddess?”. Civ was seriously curious about what that meant.
“Chosen we hav-” Shaman was still kowtowing.
“Please raise Shaman I want to talk to you face to face. Also please call me by my Father’s given name.” Civ gently reminded the Shaman.
The Shaman followed the command of Civ. She felt more reverence for this young child of the tribe leader.
She face faced the Sun Goddess Chosen.
“Civ, there was a story passed down that every shaman must remind the tribe. When the first humans were created in this world, the Sun Goddess descended from the sky.”
“Descended?!” Civ was shocked. Trying to comprehend the revelation.
“Yes. When She descended. She talked to the First Shaman and said this.”
Do not forget me, and I will reward you.
Keep me in your hearts, and I will protect you.
Praise me always and I will give you my chosen one.
In darkness, the chosen one will bring the light from my grace.
The chosen one will bring peace and glory.
“This saying was passed down to every shaman of the tribe.”
When the Shaman finished the story, Civ was silent.
‘Chosen one huh? Your Chosen One is from a different world?’
Civ cannot help but mock the Goddess in his heart. He still has hatred towards this God that forcefully transmigrated him in this world.
Setting that aside, the tribesmen were still kneeling to him. Never comes into his mind that there was a time in his life that people would kneel for him.
Also, he did not expect that the fire that he brought would trigger a prophecy. He feels like the Titan Prometheus who brings Fire to humanity and gives them knowledge.
He looked at his hands and looked back again at the sea of people. An Idea comes to his mind.
‘Fire and Knowledge’
Civ contemplates. What he wanted last time was to play around and apply the knowledge he knew in his past life. Knowing that the feeling of a heavy responsibility is given to him. Not only by the Goddess but by the people who believe in him. He has made a decisive mission in his mind.
“I Shall Start the Civilization!”
His eyes were clearer as a clear sky now that he had his purpose.
A gentle smile appeared on his face and he called the Shaman.
“Thank you, Shaman. Please ask our tribesmen to raise their heads.” Civ asked as he checked on the little girl's condition.
“My tribesmen, the light of Sun Goddess has shone upon us in flesh. Please raise your head and welcome the chosen one.” Shaman commanded the crowd.
Now that the Shaman allowed them, they have the chance to see Civ. But this right now with reverence.
The Shaman also checked the little girl. Now that she is in normal condition
“Now that the child is feeling better. Please, leave my hut now. I need to talk to the tribe leader and the Cho- Civ.” The shaman asks everyone to leave and they abide. But Arsh, the mother, and Horm waited outside while Horm was looking out with their hunt.
After everything was settled down. The Tribe leader, Kivrah’s emotions right now is in a spiral. His son is the Chosen One. But it means that he has a heavier responsibility now that the Sun Goddess is proclaiming that he is the Chosen.
He holds his son on both shoulders and says “Oh Chos-”
“Father, please call me Civ.” Civ eyes are trembling.
“I understand. My son Civ, may the Sun Goddess help you.” His Father hugged him tightly and did not say anything.
The Shaman breaks the silence.
“Civ, can you let me know what can we do with the fire?” Shaman asked as the fire was going out.
“Oh right!” Civ stocked the rest of the feathersticks his Father made. The fire was bright again.
The Shaman left for a moment to tell the mother that her daughter's condition was getting better. She asked the mother to take some rest for today as they will monitor the condition of her daughter.
When the fire went brighter, he was able to see the little girl’s face. It was the little girl that was looking out for him when he first woke up in this world.
‘Crazy coincidence huh?’
But Civ think about it. Is it really a coincidence, or a statistical chance?
With the condition and the resources his tribe has right now, there will always be a higher chance that children will get sick.
‘The best way to reduce this statistical chance is to improve the quality of life for my tribe!’
That is the only way and prove that they can hunt, everything should get better after this.
The Shaman returned and the three of them sat in front of the campfire while Civ stoked more firewood.
Crackle Crackle
“My Son, yo -you give me many surprises today.” Kivrah was happy but was melancholic. Hunting the boar was really shocking. Especially since this was done by only three teenagers. But the revelation of being the Father of the Chosen One. It was something that he did not expect.
Civ noticed that his Father was lost in thought. “My Father, even though I accept the revelation from our Son Goddess, please treat me the same way. Same to you Shaman Mashu.”
Hearing this, both Kivrah and Mashu were touched.
“Thank you Civ.” Both of them bowed to him.
He wants to stop them. But he just accepts it since it will be really disrespectful now that they are paying respect to him.
Being the Tribe leader, he initiated the conversation.
“Now. Let's discuss what we accomplished today.” The Kivrah and Mashu were staring at the fire.
“Sun Goddess has provided us the fire. Please tell me Civ how this will not disappear?” The Shaman asked this with devotion.
“Shaman, we will just need wood. A bone-dry wood if it's possible. This wood we brought today is more than enough for the whole night.” Civ explained.
The Shaman nodded. “Tribe leader, can you let your son stay in my hut for today?”
The tribe leader had no problem with that and understood it. “That will be fine Shaman. I know you want to talk to my son a little longer.”
Kivrah looked at his son and asked, “My son, can you make fire again using the wood items that you have?”
“Yes Father, I can teach it to you.” Civ nodded.
“Great, tomorrow let's discuss it with the tribe.” The three of them agree that everyone should know this. Now that it is possible, everyone should know how to do it as a believer in the Sun Goddess.
“Now for the second one. Please call your friends Civ.” The tribe leader asked.
Civ nods and asks Arsh and Horm to get inside. He asked Horm to bring the boar inside.
Outside was chilly already as they were waiting in the rain. When they both sit in front of the campfire, an embrace of warmth coming from the fire embraces them.
Haaaaaa
Both of them felt relaxed, like a warm embrace from their mother. Both of them felt a little bit of sadness. But they held it in for now as they were in front of the three people that they respected.
The Shaman and the tribe leader are still cannot believe that there is a boar lifeless infornt of them.
Kivrah smiled and asked. “So tell me, how did you kill the boar?”
