On the third day of their rather uneventful trip, James and Aaron see the Golden City, Elaria over the horizon, just a short distance ahead of the two

  As they walk closer, they see another person, who looks to be around their age, walking to the capital on the path directly opposite to them

  From the path, the boy yells to them, "Yo, you two!"

  James and Aaron looked confused before the boy continued

  "Come over here, I've been on my own for like 5 days I think!"

  The two look at each other and shrug before running over to him

  When the two get to him, he introduces himself

  "Yo, I'm Aidan, back home they call me the Wildfire (or I wish they did). Who're you two?"

  Aaron speaks for the both of them

  "I'm Aaron and this is is James, you had a pretty long trip, eh?"

  Aidan responds after a moment in thought

  "Yeah, must've been 4 or 5 days... maybe 6?"

  James responds with

  "It was a 3 day trip for us"

  There's a moment of silence before James bursts out

  "So are you here for the Knight's Exam too?

  Aidan quickly responds

  "Yeah! I think I've got decent odds of getting accepted!"

  "How do you think you two are gonna do?"

  James looks slightly perplexed before responding

  "I guess i never thought about whether I'd get in or not"

  "I think I'll do decently well"

  Aaron then responds

  "I'll get in for sure, trained for days before starting the trip here"

  The group all says their goodbyes before going their separate ways through the gates

  Aaron and James head to an inn near the center of the city, next to small tea shop with a small house for rent right on top of it
