CHAPTER 5

Helena strolled back into her house, closing the door behind her. She ran a hand through her hair only to pause when she thinks again about the sequels of her transformation into Madison minutes ago.

Her fingers brushed against a slight wave in her normally straight, ptinum locks. Walking over to a mirror in the bathroom, she leaned in.

Her face still looked like her, but there were subtle differences. Her cheekbones were a little softer. Her lips were bigger. There was even a faint of Madison’s old, fwless features lingering in her own.

And she looked at her body

She took off her shirt, frowning. Her belly was a bit rounder than before. Not nearly as extreme as Madison’s current form, but it wasn’t hers, either.

  — "Tch."

  She feels a bit disgusted.

The transformation spell was supposed to wear off completely, not leave behind lingering traces.

  She took breath.

  — "No big deal," she muttered. "I’ll fix it ter."

  Helena is a great procrastinator.

For now, she had other things to think about.

Like what she was going to do today.

Most of the school was gone now. The ones that weren’t were either hiding or too scared to do anything.

  She had won.

She want to do something new today.

She tapped her fingers against her arm, deep in thought.

Maybe she should go out and find someone new to py with.

Or maybe she should check out the news. Surely what she did yesterday came out in the newspapers, online pages and anything.

A slow, wicked grin crept across her lips.

  Yeah, nice idea.

Helena plopped down onto her couch, grabbing her phone. She opened a news site especifically of her city.

She expected something to be there about what she did. After all, yesterday was one hell of a day.

  And she wasn’t disappointed.

STRANGE EVENTS CONTINUE! GIRL INFLATED TO MASSIVE SIZE IN UNKNOWN MAGIC INCIDENT

  Helena grinned.

The article showed a blurry image of Sophie, still infted fluffy, still unable to move.

The report cimed that experts were baffled and had no idea how it happened. And Sophie wasn't able to talk on that moment because she was still too desperate and crying.

Helena giggled. Of course they didn’t.

  She scrolled down.

MYSTERIOUS BALLOON PEOPLE FLOAT INTO SPACE. NO EXPLANATION FOUND

  Another blurry image.

A dark sky filled with tiny, barely visible shapes, her former cssmates, now nothing but distant balls.

She ughed. That one was fun.

She kept scrolling, skimming through article after article about the marvelous chaos she had caused over time.

  But then, her smile faded.

TRANSFORMED STUDENT MADISON CLAIMS TO KNOW THE SOURCE BEHIND THE MAGICAL INCIDENTS

  Helena’s eyes narrowed.

  She clicked on the article.

There was a picture of Madison. Ugh, still looking like a mess, but standing in front of reporters, looking serious with still red eyes from tears.

"I know who did this," Madison was quoted as saying. "It wasn’t some accident. It wasn’t some freak phenomenon. A girl did this. A very specific girl."

  She kept reading.

"She’s short. She has bright blue eyes. White, almost silver hair. And she’s dangerous. I'm still trying to recompose myself after this horrible situation. I'll try to talk to her tomorrow, if it doesn't work, something will have to be done against her."

  Helena clenched her jaw.

  Madison ratted her out.

Of course, there weren’t any pictures of Helena, no one had been fast enough to take one yet.

Now people would know to look for her.

  She bit her lip.

Helena jumped slightly, her eyes looking angrily to the entrance.

Of course Madison wasn’t just going to shut her big fucking, old and dirty mouth.

Now she had to deal with her.

A wicked smirk pyed at Helena’s lips.

Maybe she should make Madison pay for running her mouth to the news.

…But first, she had to decide exactly how.

Helena exhaled sharply through her nose, rising from the couch.

If Madison wanted to py this game, then Helena would end it.

She stomped over to the door, grip tightening on the handle before she yanked it open, already thinking of at least fifty-two different ways to utterly murder Madison in the most sadistic and humiliating form ever.

  But the porch was empty.

  — "Shit."

She stepped outside, eyes searching on the street.

  Whole lot of nothing.

  Madison was gone.

Helena bit her tongue with anger

"OUCH!" A tear fall off her eyes.

  That coward.

Did she really come all this way just to knock on the door and run off just because she received a bad answer from a sadistic evil magician girl?

  Unacceptable

  Helena crossed her arms, considering.

She could go after her. But no.

Going out to search for her would be boring.

Helena wanted something to do, though. Probably the city will want to kill her. And she couldn't defend herself from something like a suddenly shot, for example.

Also, Helena is feeling just a little more tired than normal. You must know why.
