Chapter 106: I Think Youve Overstayed Your Welcome

The battlefield was a symphony of destruction, the air thick with the acrid stench of acid and the metallic tang of blood. Venku's Frodeon stood tall, violet armor gleaming under the dim, broken light.

Across from him, the El Lord loomed, its body a writhing hive of eyes and mouths, its presence everywhere, its voice echoing not just in Venku's ears but in the marrow of his bones.

El Lord (everywhere at once): "You are not fighting a creature. You are fighting the ground beneath you, the air you breathe, the water in your blood. You are fighting bacteria. And bacteria always win."

The battle takes them to another part of the El territory only there are old buildings consumed by corruption, Over taken by bacteria. This is a testament to what the land once was.

Venku's grip tightened on his controls. His voice was calm, precise, every syllable controlled like his blade.

  Venku: "Frodeon, activate Silver Skin."

The mech's armor shifted, plates rippling into sleek digital chrome. Its body hummed with energy. Missiles launched, streaking through the haze and detonating against the El Lord's flesh. The monster absorbed the blasts, body reshaping, laughing as the smoke cleared.

El Lord: "Explosions mean nothing. Fire means nothing. All that burns becomes soil. All that decays... becomes me."

The El Lord's grotesque arm rippled, its flesh bubbling and twisting until it hardened into a jagged bacteria-forged blade.

With a sickening lurch, he pulled his arm back, muscles of ooze coiling like a spring. Then, with a thunderous crack, he snapped it forward, the blade lashed out like a monstrous whip, shrieking through the air with lethal speed, its acidic edge hissing as it cut across the battlefield.

Venku surged forward, digitizing a cannon. He fired blur and slashed off the beast limb and through the beast's torso, tearing trails of black sludge across the field.

He then unleashed two violet lasers.

The El Lord shrieked, the lasers slicing off both his arms.

  Venku: "Frodeon, nuclear cannon, charge!"

The cannon roared to life, energy screaming as it built.

A radiant beam tore forward. At the same moment, the El Lord regenerated his arms, vomited a massive orb of acid, the orbs floated and fired directly at Frodeon.

The two collided midair, light and sludge, purity and rot. The resulting explosion was cataclysmic. The shockwave hurled both mech and monster into the sky before slamming them into the broken ground.

Venku coughed blood, but forced his machine upright. "We're not finished."

The El Lord lunged, seizing Frodeon's arms in its monstrous grip. Its maw opened, acid boiling.

El Lord: "All ends in digestion. All ends in me."

  Venku's eyes blazed.

Venku: "Frodeon, activate third arm armor."

From the mech's chest a digitized limb extended, gripping a spear of pure light. Venku thrust it upward, piercing straight into the El Lord's mouth. The monster staggered, ichor raining across the field.

Venku (roaring): "I am Venku, the last Elda Knight, DIE BACTERIA!"

He fired the cannon. The blast ripped through the El Lord's body, sepaparting it's head from its body, scattering its mass across the charred earth.

For a moment, there was silence. Venku's mech took slow steps toward the twitching carcass. His breath was heavy, his tone almost human beneath the precision.

Venku: "You've taken everything. My brothers. My kingdom. But when you die, this land can begin to heal."

The El Lord decapitated bio head grinned sending a chill down Venku's spine.

laughter bubbled up from every direction. A grotesque blade burst through Frodeon's chest, wires snapping and sparks flying. Venku gasped, blood spraying his controls.

Behind him, another El Lord began to take shape from the sludge, its true body. The first had only been a shell.

El Lord (voice multiplied, echoing in omnipresent harmony):

"Did you believe there was only one? Bacteria are never one. We are legion. We are colony. We are the next reset. Dinosaurs reset. Kaiju reset. Now humanity resets. And bacteria will inherit the Earth."

He removed his blade slicing Frodeon in half, and the massive mech crashed to the ground phasing back to it's violet form.

  El Lord "This is evolution."

Venku choked, vision dimming. His thoughts whispered out loud, broken.

  Venku: "Milly... forgive me."

Frodeon attempted to move but failed.

The El Lord raised his blade high, black ichor dripping from its edge.

El Lord: "All stories rot. And yours... ends here."

The blade came down, but sparks split the air. A single slash cleaved through the El Lord's arm, severing it in one stroke. The monster's shriek shook the sky.

El Lord look to the direction of the attack.

The El Lord roared, its voice filling every ear, every molecule.

El Lord: "You, you should not be here."

From the smoke emerged a figure, tall, tailored, hat shadowing his face, smile sharp as glass.

Mr. Green: "Heh. What a performance. But I think you've overstayed your welcome."

His eyes gleamed with cruel delight as he stepped forward, coat brushing ash, fedora tilted.

The battlefield trembled as two terrors, one born of rot, one born of tyranny, now stood in the same arena.
