Chapter 16

  3 years later

  Little Vlad:

  We are 5 years old. I don't know what my powers are but My Yang got her power when she was 2. She has been working hard with Gray, Lolly, Pop Pop and even Killian and Johanna. She has fun testing her abilities on me and I enjoy being her crash test dummy. By that I mean she is able to pick me up with her mind, spin me around like I'm doing flips in the air. She even can pin me to trees and throw me up into them. I'm not worried about her hurting anyone, but Mommy and Daddy are worried that someone will find out about her power and steal her from us and use her to do bad things. Geneva is too sweet for her to hurt anyone but I can see the worry they have in their eyes. We start school soon and Mommy and Daddy called us into the office. We are talking about homeschooling us because they are scared we will be stolen.

  I really want to go to school and meet new kids, I do not want to be stuck at home with my parents as teachers. I love them but I don't want to be stuck at the house day and night with them.

  Geneva:

  We are in the office, discussing Home schooling. I want to go to school with Killian and Jo. I don't want to be stuck at home. Home is nice but I want to meet other people. I tell Mommy and Daddy I want to go to school like a big kid and that I will hide my power and not use it at school. I will be normal. They agree to let Vlad and me go but if anyone tries to take us, I'm to use my power to get us away. It's only a trial run my parents call it. Then we start talking about my training and how I like it. I like being able to pick Yin and the adults up with my mind and put them in trees. As we leave the office, I'm happy and Yin gives me a hug and tells me thank you Yang. I hug him back and tell him he's welcome because I know he wants to go to big kid school too.

  I have training with Pop Pop today. I need to hurry, he hates it when I am late. I run in and he asks if using my abilities drains my strength. I tell him it gives me a headache if I use it too much. He says it's normal with Telepathic powers. That's what I have is called. He says we are going to work on my vampire speed and hypnosis powers. I don't do too well with speed yet but I can now use hypnosis to cause fear. I sent Louis running. I was able to make him think zombies were after him. He ran right into Daddy and the force knocked him on his butt. For him being a doctor, he sure is funny. I was laughing so hard I fell down on my butt. Daddy asked me what I had done and I told him. I saw part of the zombie movie he and Mommy were watching and Lou said I could practice on him and I made him think zombies were after him. Ann was watching and she was laughing at my explanation. Lou came back and told me I was banned from watching any parts of horror movies again. Pop Pop told me I did a good job and I was learning fast. I need to work on getting faster, so Daddy said we come up with games to help me.

  Next is practice with Lolly. I have to learn to control the elements. Wind, Fire, Earth, Water and Spirit. That is the hardest of my training. I can't get those right. I make the wind blow when I'm trying to move a little rock. I get frustrated with myself because I like to do everything perfectly. Mommy calls it OCD. Nick says I'm an over achiever, whatever that means, Yin tells me to just be calm. I don't have things perfect all the time. That I will get right as I train and grow up.

  That makes me feel better about myself. After school, I will train with Grayson. He teaches my spells with songs. It helps me memorize them better. My favorite song is. I made a mess. Please help me clean up, fold my clothes, pick up toys and help me make my little bed. As I sing I help the magic, help me. I fold clothes and it helps me fold too, I pick up some toys and it picks up and puts away toys. I even help Yin pick up his room too. Magic works best if you help it when you're little. As I grow, Gray says I won't have to help it as much because it's grown up with me. We work on my telekinesis more because that is what gives me headaches. Gray says it won't hurt as much the more I get used to it and be able to use it more without having to concentrate as much when I do use it. It's a lot for a little girl but I've been training for 3 years now.

  Three trainers who I love with all my heart. I know I have to be careful and not use my powers when we start school. If I drop a crayon or pencil Mommy and Daddy say I also have to be careful who I make friends with especially since I'm the princess of the 3rd power. That is what Maurice calls me because I'm the 3rd princess. Mom is the first princess, Catilena is second with me being the third. I don't feel like a princess from my Book of Tales. Mommy and Daddy make sure we are treated and raised like normal kids. None of us are spoiled. We have nice things but not overly costly. Even my brothers drive normal cars and trucks. Mommy even drives a blue Subaru. Nick says we are Low Key Royals. I just like being able to be normal and not have to worry about anything that adults do. I have a feeling my adult life will be full of adventure and worry.
