We still made the fire go on today. It seems a bit warmer now, but it wasn't as near as warm as when we started our journey. I wish to be warm again, and that is why we are headed back to the village. I wish that we could move quicker than we are, but all people have limits. Instead of moving today, we waited for the clouds and snow to clear a little, hoping we could see the sun soon. I do believe I see it peeking its head out of the white. It is warm. It is life-giving.
"Are you going to help hunt or are you going to stay there and do doctor stuff?" Roy asked me, looking down to where I was sitting.
If you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
I smiled at him, "I'm not trying to do much doctor work today. I can help you get some food."
Indeed I did. I ended up hauling about forty pounds of food back into the camp. Roy had quite a bit more, yet he was a regular hunter. I was quite proud of myself. Every time I have positive emotion, it is like it is taken from me, degrading my soul completely. I need to cheer up. The village is near! That is a false statement. I am hopeless.
