This morning, instead of staying for breakfast like I usually do, I went hunting for the village. We are eating quite a lot of their food and I feel bad for it. Why shouldn't I? We were invited into this village and we are now taking all of their things. They say that they do not mind, however, I feel much differently. I caught quite a few pounds of food before turning back to the village. It was very quiet when I got back. I had to haul the game myself. I did not mind; it was to fill back the things that we took. I knew the rest of the boys would go hunting later. I supposed I just wanted a head start.
I took a break and laid down in the room. It is much warmer in here, so I loved every minute of it. Soon, someone tapped my shoulder. It was Maria. I greeted her quickly.

"I don't mean to disturb your sleep," she muttered to me. I told her it was alright and she didn't have to worry about it. She was wearing what seemed to be her best dress. She handed me something soft and warm.
"It's a present for you," she whispered.
"For me?" I asked her, "I don't know how to say thank you."
She told me I didn't and I realized it was a fur jacket. I put it on and it was the warmest I have felt in a very long time.
"It's for when you go out. Those other jackets don't look too warm," she told me. I thanked her again and she left.
Soon after this, the boys asked me where I got my fur jacket from, and I told them that I got it from Maria. They all oohed me and I couldn't help but roll my eyes. They are all so childish. Besides, it isn't even like that.
