Thanks to what happened yesterday, we went outside once more. This time, instead of gathering firewood, we decided to get them food for a large feast. It was the least we could do for a city that kept us warm and out of the winter storms. We brought our rifles and our knives and dragged the animals that they were found to eat the most out. There are several large animals here. I saw the same deer looking thing once more. I will have to ask one of the natives of the city about this soon enough. I showed Angelo a bit more how to hunt and aim today. He seems to enjoy it.
The Maria girl observed us from the outskirts of the city. Lawrence pointed her out to me, which was the only way that I could possibly have known she was there. She blended right into the wilderness around us, especially with the animals' fur on. I went to talk to her because she had been following us for so long. She didn't say much about anything. She was talking about the city and how it was amazing that we found it. She told us how lucky we and them were since we managed to find them. I told her that the city was nothing but a blessing to us.
The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.
"I'm glad," she responded, "We don't get a lot of new people. It's nice to meet someone who isn't from here for once."
I have been thinking about what she said all day. Has the village really been closed for so long that no one even knows that it exists? I surely don't, but I am not from here and I don't know the region. How can someone miss a village that had only been cut off for about four years? It i rather disappointing, but I suppose that is just the way life works.
