Chapter 75: Lollipop

Jeremiah sat on the snow, panting— the beautiful snow, the icy snow. He could feel a warm sensation dripping from his nose, tainting the ground further was the blood. The blood from his nose, how in one attack… the man walking ever so slowly to him smiling.

“See Jeremiah, your power makes no sense to me. So you can read minds and explode stuff solely using lollipops? Why is it lollipops, what made you have such a….” Tagma spun his index around, cheesing, “Fascination with that sweet.”

“You want a backstory? Maybe I’ll explain it in the spin-off.” Jeremiah spat blood from his mouth, fragments of the cracked lollipop lingered in the crimson liquid as it shot closer to Tagma.

Who was mere centimetres away. He continued to walk, closer and closer before pausing at where the blood was, from Jeremiah’s mouth.

“See, I believe you are an extremely strong person.” Tagma didn’t lift his gaze off the panting teen, he shook his however, “Strong because, I didn’t expect for you to be both brawn and brains. Like you planned to explode me right now, again.” The Rebel pointed with left hand at the puddle, gnarling, “Too smart.”

Jeremiah’s eyes flickered, the man in front of him was beginning to blur.

‘Fuck, it’s my vision.’ The Demon Child grabbed his head, panting as his eyes felt heavier and heavier.

“Now I could easily count this as your approval in since you did land a hit, unlike most— ever.” Tagma dug through his pockets, exposing a knife— a delicate switch blade. “The material of this? Salae— very durable, you won’t find it anywhere which isn’t a holy place. You should know of it, or are you still forced to use those ‘older’ means.” Tagma brought the knife to his torso, among many, many star shaped markings on his chest he began to carve another.

Blood leaked but he stood unphased, smiling infact.

“I’m undefeated. Since I wasn’t blessed like you lot, I had to learn a harder way on how to be strong.” Tagma pushed the blade back into his pocket as he walked towards Jeremiah, he was sitting at the end of the cage, leaning.

  Barely conscious.

“See I’ll be kind and let it end here, there was no way you could’ve won anyway.” Tagma cupped Jeremiah’s cheeks with his right hand.

It felt warm, blood soothed on the skin like a moisturiser, too warm— but….

  POW!

  Knock. Knock.

  Knock.

Hecate knocked on the double-doors, her gentle taps sesame’d a gentle opening into Medea’s throne room. She traced inside, elegantly— calmly. That was a lie, she was just bored. In her right hand was a cup of tea which stirred by itself, she looked up to the endless throne and chatted,“Lord, you called me here. What’s the issue?” She bluntly spoke, her gaze never averting but her eyes were shallow— dead. Behind those hazel eyes on that peach skin laid nothing, no substance— no thoughts— no values— no life.

“I want you to be the first to see what amazing thing I have done today, Hecate Marase.” Medea spoke, his tone gentle and passion ant.

“Sure.” Hecate sipped her tea, the warm sensation; like blood it lied on her tongue— mixed in with her saliva before being gulped down.

  A snap.

The room began to shake and quiver, neither of the two moved— noticed, or cared. As the ripples of unveiled and an individual floated down from the sky.

A goblin, it had pumpkin skin which was highlighted by the bright white aura circulating around his short body. His eyes were open, they were a slit of black— pure black as his nose stuck out and sniffed the air. He was floating on his back, his slender arms pointed up at the sky— thick leather gloves layered on his hands; he was dressed in charcoal spiked shoulder blades, a zip tie in the middle as the stabbed blades were pointy, large and thick. Bolstering. His black belt glowed as he had a thin coattail covering his legs. Those stubby short legs; his whole body marked with suction cups from medical equipment as the bald pumpkin goblin landed— his back falling onto the ground as he gazed at Hecate, smiling— a yellow teeth smile.

“Is that Mog? Mog Gnarltooth?” Hecate spoke, her face unwavering as she took another sip.

“YES IT IS!” Medea’s voice bellowed, “THE SECOND GRAND REPRSIAL’S FINEST! MOG GNARLTOOTH!”

The goblin shot up from the glass, his eyes darted across the room— the to the voice of Medea, unviable. His eyes then focused on his outfit, then his gloves.

“So he truly did give me Richard’s power.” Mog grumbled to himself, he checked out the gloves, “Why?”

“Don’t focus on the gloves! You are smart right? Smart enough to use both brawn and brains!”

“That’s Medea right?” Mog tilted his head to Hecate who exhaled through her nose, nodding. “So I truly was picked to join your cause— why?”

“See I won’t lie to you due to my actual genuine respect for intelligent people. I need to use you to kill Samiel.”

“Kill Samiel? The God? What’s she done? Wouldn’t it mean going to war?”

“Well since you’ve been suffering at the hands of that punk bastard for five years— a war has began caused by Samiel. Whose forces contain three important figures and a bunch of grunts underneath.”

“So I could decay the grunts and then think plans on defeating Samiel?”

“Precisely! You even speak about the power as if you know how to use it! You’ve only been alive again for atleast a couple minutes now!”

“Alive again? I died— well Hell couldn’t hold me do—”

“Don’t speak like that, if you did go to hell or heaven— you’d be there forever. Forever.” Medea’s voice changed— deep, dark, “But anyway yeah I’d love your help!”

  “Where’s Ilya, Richard, Gloxer?”

“Seraphim, Dojo Master in Floria, Asaldom and Angel— those are what they are now”

“How fitting— what about me? What am I going to be, aren’t the Slavi spots filled— am I just some puck?”

“See how smart you are! You’ll be like Famine and have your own role of course!”

“As the right hand of God! MIDAS!”
