  “That sounds like a good plan but, how are you going to get in contact with me?”

  A good question to ask indeed however, that was not the thing that put me in a good mood but. Now, why would I be in a good mood? Is it the fact that she’s actually listening and paying attention to what I’m saying? No, it’s actually quite simple! Her tone of voice seems normal, not that I know her of course it’s just that, it’s not wavering anymore. Her timber is constant through her sentence and the same can be said about the speed at which she speaks. Anyway, I’m being an idiot right now, while I did say that I will get in touch with her, I actually don’t have a clue how I will do that and that’s why her question is appropriate. Maybe I can use the goddess to get in contact with her? Nah, not only that’s quite disrespectful towards my beautiful goddess, that would only work if she knows the true identity of my goddess. She can believe that she exists and even worship her but…

  Without knowing the true identity of her then it’s meaningless.

  What I mean by this is that, the god that bestowed humanity with “Hope” is a god that seems to be ever changing, always changing from Hero to Hero. The one that bestowed the world with “The Seed of Destruction” is always the same for some reason. When I say that the god is different from Hero to Hero, I do mean it. Their gender, how they look, how they speak, even their personality change and now that I’m saying this, even the name is different! In my case, when I was bestowed the title of Hero, I was just a child but I do remember it vividly and I can say that, the god is a goddess. She was beautiful, for the young side, I would say in her early twenties, easily with the beauty a goddess should have, however, she’s the complete opposite from the previous Hero, that in his case, she was an older woman instead. But why is that the case? Is the god manifestation a simple representation of the Hero personality and who he/she might be? Or maybe it’s a way to “incentivise” the Hero to protect humanity as by having someone attractive behind your cause can give motivation? Wait a second, if that is the case then does that mean I’m doing my best to save the world because of pretty girls!?

  I mean, is that wrong?

  Magic noises!

  While I was going on my usual yapping, I did come up with a solution for our problem. I extend my right hand towards the orb, opening it and facing the palm towards the ceiling. Then, with a little bit of magic, I summon a simple object, more so a pendant to be precise. I used summoning magic for such, meaning that a magic circle was formed at the top of the palm of my hand, one that is a little bit bigger than my hand itself and with a grey colour to it. Mere moments later, said pendant appears. It’s a simple magic stone with a cord stuck at the top of it, one that is made of metal and it’s quite robust because of it. The magic stone is nothing more than from a Spirit, a real one at that. I’m not going to go deep on the story behind this magic stone (for now that is) but, it’s extremely important to me, it’s connected to my very own soul.

  “Yes, I can. Will you use this to get in contact with me?”

  “That’s correct. That magic stone is extremely important to me and because of that, it’s connected directly to me. I’m able to know where it is even in a completely different universe.”

  It might seem an exaggeration on my part but I’m not lying. Since it’s that deeply connected to me, I’m able to know where it is all the time, even across different universes. It’s as if I have a small thread around and one that is connected to my heart, a thread that defies logic and the rules of the worlds themselves, modifying them to its liking, being able to cross between them like it’s nothing. Not only that, I can then use magic to send signals in the form of vibrations towards it and since the magic stone itself has magic, well, it can do pretty neat stuff if I say so myself. What makes this stone even more impressive is the fact that it belongs to a Spirit, and S rank “monster” and that alone is enough for all of this to be possible and even some more.

  “Wait, the pendant is that important to you? A-Aren’t you afraid that I can steal it?”

  “Of course not.”

  Well, what she said came out of nowhere and my answer was forced out of my mouth without me even thinking about it but I more than meant it. I can easily sense that she means no harm and in fact, she’s looking out for me in an odd way. I do understand her worry as I have no clue who she is but, if she’s willing to go this far for someone else, potentially putting herself in danger for said person then, in my simple book, she’s a good person and that’s it really. Someone like her will not steal anything, let alone something this important to someone else. But I do have to be honest, I can easily get it back if I wanted to. As I said, this pendant is deeply connected to me so it’s more than possible for me to get it back in an instant.

  “While yes, I don’t know who you are, the fact that you came here for Kiana, that makes me willing to trust you.”

  Oh, I’m actually smiling as I say this. I wonder why…

  “I-”

  “Ah, it seems we are out of time as Miranda is coming here.”

  It's a shame that we have to end our conversation this abruptly as she was about to say something not only that, I would love to ask her about Kiana, maybe I can learn a few things about her. However, thanks to Magic Sense I’m comfortably able to know that Miranda is indeed a minute or so from being here. I do think she will knock at the door before entering however, if she senses the pink orb there is a good chance that she might just barge in. With that in the back of my mind, I quickly bid my farewell to the pink orb, promising her that I will be in contact very soon. She disappears rather smoothly, not leaving a single trace of magic behind, helping confirm that she’s an expert on magic usage and potentially not only in S rank realm but maybe even above.

  I’m actually excited to work with her.
