(123)Chapter 2.7 – A New Hero in The Making. (Part 1)

  April 13, Saturday.

This day was rather uneventful or in other words, a normal day. She still is a little taken back by her previous “dream”, you can see the somewhat sad look on her face and the distant look on her eyes. It was a quiet day for her, she basically stayed home all day, leaving only in the afternoon to shop. After all, a sad girl still needs to eat. She spent around 300 coins, enough for the next week and a little more but with this spending, she now has 1635 coins in her budget. After this she went home at around 17:23 pm, took a shower and went on her merry routine.

  April 14, Sunday.

More of the same as the previous day, in the morning that is, however, she does seem to be in a better mood, while still not smiling and being cheerful like she normally is, at the very least she does not have that distant look on her face. In the afternoon she went to the guild to do some quests, she had to do something to take her mind off the recent event and what’s a best way to do that? It’s too indeed do some quests, here’s the report of them; She did a total of three quests, all of them were gathering quests, it seems she took advantage that they were all close to each other to complete them in one go. The first quest she got 65 coins and 10 points, the second one she got 45 coins and another 10 points, for the last one, she got 60 coins and another 10 points.

Nothing out of this world, with a grand total of 120 coins and 30 points, making her budget increase by a bit to 1755 coins and her adventurer points to 140 points.

  April 15, Monday.

Another day and another normal routine for our Kiana, she wakes up from her princess sleep and goes on her merry morning. At the Academy the same happens however, this time around, she had lunch with Anya rather than eating alone, once they were done, they spent the time just walking around and talking about whatever they were talking, no need for me to spell it out I mean, they deserve some privacy. Anyway, once lunchtime was over, they went to the lab, the idea for today and for the next few days, it is for Kiana to actually start using the computer, with this in mind, Anya proceeds to tell her the very basics on how to use a computer but, Kiana really is having some troubles understanding said basics. To be honest, Anya computers are not the “best” for beginners, they are way too advanced and with far too many unnecessary buttons, programs and so on, on them for said beginners. With this problem in hand Anya decides to go to the library with Kiana in an attempt to make her learn how to use the computers there as they are far more “normal”. The idea is that, once Kiana is used to them then, she will probably be able to understand and learn how to use the more advanced computers.

It’s 14:37 pm, they are mere moments before arriving at the library, when Kiana feels something rather odd easily grabbing her attention and with it, she abruptly stops walking and quickly turns to her left, the complete opposite side of the library that is right next to them.

  “Ki-Kiana? Is there something wrong?”

With a confused and a somewhat worried look on her face she asks this. It’s normal though after all, who the hell just stops walking out of nowhere and then looks towards the opposite direction they are going? To make it even worse, Kiana stays quiet for a brief set of seconds and with quite the intensive stare towards the direction she’s facing. Did she hear something? Felt something? While none of us knows what it is, Kiana on the other hand, she’s trying to figure it out.

“Are those monsters or… summons… They are both at the same time. How is that even possible?”

  Stolen novel; please report.

Anya- Uhm, Kiana, is everything alright? I heard you say monsters, did you see something?

It seems her worry was in fact right, even though she could barely hear Kiana as she was basically murmuring to herself, she still was able to make out the word “monsters” and of course, anyone that hears such a word quickly understands the gravity of the situation.

“Not see them but, sensed them in this case. Look, stay here, I have to go, things are not looking good at all.”

She has a serious look on her face as she says this, as she asks Anya to stay put. Her golden eyes are shining not because she’s excited but because she’s that serious. From Kiana's reaction, whatever she’s sensing it must be something that bad and of course, Anya is getting more worried by the passing of time as she understands this. However, just as she finished saying this, a second or so later, Kiana starts to run with immense speed towards the direction she’s facing leaving Anya all by herself. Or it should’ve been if she didn’t scream this; “Wait! I will also go!” at the top of her lungs while at the same time also running towards where Kiana might be going. Although, this run seems more like a jog, barely.

  ……..

  ……

  …

Meanwhile at the Academy centre, the place where Kiana felt something rather dangerous.

“Aaaa! You damn monster! Get away from me!”

Sigh, how I wish Kiana was just “feeling” something up in the air however, reality is often what we don’t want it to be. There is a group of students that is currently surrounded by monsters, ones that not only are far stronger than this group in fact, only one of them is more than enough to make a gruesome scene as he is that much stronger than all of the students combined, now imagine a group of said monsters. A disaster mere moment from happening, one that will scare and mark anyone that is unfortunate enough to witness it.

“Why god?! Why did you forsake me so soon?! Why are there Black Wolves here?!”

  Groar!

As if one of the wolves understood what he was saying, he growls at the one that said this, showing his sharp teeth in the process, ones that are easily sharp and strong enough to rip and tear apart said student. The wolf then stares directly at him, at them, his mouth is somewhat open and from it, saliva is dripping out of it after all, he’s mere moments from having “lunch”. These are Black Wolf Fang, a C rank monster and although they are nowhere near the top of the pecking order, they are more than strong and vicious enough to kill every single student in front of them.

  “Yeek!”

The group of students recoil by quite a bit as that single wolf growls at them however, the sheer fear they felt from said act, it’s more than enough to not only make them quiver in said fear, to make them pray for whatever gods they believe on and to make them send their farewells to the ones they know and love. However, what makes them truly feel despair is when the wolves slowly but surely, they approach them. There are six students, three women and the rest are men, none of them seem strong enough to defeat an Elemental Slime let alone a Black Wolf Fang. To make their situation even worse, they are surrounded by six Black Wolves Fang while one of them stands outside of the circle, carefully watching what’s happening in front of him. He seems to be the leader, not only this wolf is somewhat bigger than the rest of them, he also has much more magic energy than them, clearly marking him as the Alpha of the group, the leader.

Just as I said, the lives of the students are passing right between their eyes as they see the wolves slowly getting closer and closer to them and while the closer the wolves get, the strong said feelings get. Fear runs through every single cell of their body, some of them even fall down to their knees as they fail to stand up, as they weep uncontrollably thanks to the realisation that they will soon die. Others lament the unfortunate situation they are in, throwing every insult they have at the gods, at the world itself. But even when hope has been completely lost, there is someone out there ready to help them out. One that calls herself by the-

  Magical Girl

  “Consume and disperse! Shirin Scissors!”

Ah! There she is! The familiar voice we all know and love, the one that will be the Hero of this situation, this petite fragile looking girl will be the one to save the day. With a loud and confident tone of voice, she shouts this to the world, easily grabbing the attention of everyone there, the wolves included. While students’ attention is quickly drawn to her thanks to the voice alone, the wolves on the other hand, do so thanks to her magic levels.
