“They sure are looking at you Miss Eris... I hope it’s nothing bad though.”

  That is true random person that might never ever appear in Kiana life again. This woman whispers this to Kiana, catching her a little by surprise, though she does have a point.

  “Kiana! Would you mind coming here? We need to talk.”

  Sigh… I don’t know if that person jinxed Kiana but this does not sound good at all. Her tone of voice, although the same timber, seemed a bit colder, much colder than a few moments ago. Well, without saying anything at all Kaina does what Taniah asked her for, getting near her a second or so later.

  “Miss Kiana, my fellow colleagues here, they just told me that you were bullying a few students some time ago. Is that true?”

  “Eh?”

  That is the only sound that comes out of her mouth. Her golden eyes are fully open thanks to the sheer shock. Her jaw has been dropped down into the floor with so much force that a small earthquake followed the impact. She, I and even anyone there, never expected something like this, and yet here we are. Those damn cowards! Did they really twist the truth and lied about what happened!? Are they somehow making themselves the victims in all of this!? After what they did to our pour Anya!? DAMN THEM!

  Smug Student Council Member- Yes, four students to be precise. You have verbally abused the four of them and you even have hit one of them. Ah, we do have proof of that as you were extremely violent even for someone of your stature.

  As if the police itself caught the criminal mid act, he says this with a sharp and aggressive tone of voice, making Kiana recoil back slightly thanks to it. She still is taken back to what Taniah said and asked, and this is not helping the situation at all, so much so that she’s having trouble saying anything but, you can be sure that, her mind is going at the speed of sound itself. Faster even.

  “(Wait! What? Huh!? What is happening? Did they really lie about everything that has happened? Are they that stupid? Anya was there for crying out loud!)”

  No point in trying to use logic Kiana, it will fry your brain while you try to put the pieces together. These are despicable people doing despicable acts. They will do and try their best to bring you down, to bring down those who they don’t like or those that oppose them. Ah, the actions of weaklings, even as the Hero, I hate these types of people. Cowards, bunch of cowards!

  Kiana- Something is wrong, did they give you the reason for what happened? Seriously, something is not adding up, because the truth sure is the complete opposite.

  Smug Student Council Member- What are you even trying to say? Is your brain working or what? Are you insinuating that somehow my information is wrong? Or are you trying to say that I’m lying?

  Kiana- I don’t know if you are lying but if you were listening to what I said, the information you got is completely wrong. Those four, are you listening? Yes, those four are the bullies. You heard that? Let me say it again, those four are the bullies themselves and they were bullying someone else when I intervened. I protected a friend of mine from them. Do I need to repeat myself?

  Oh boy, things sure are escalating rather quickly. If you cannot understand it for some reason, Kiana is getting rather mad and quickly at that. She says all of this with a cold tone of voice, but the look on her face is the opposite to what it was just mere moments ago. Her golden eyes are now somehow sharp, ready to tear apart anyone that dares to keep on pushing her limits. She frowns her eyebrows, showing off the anger in her emotional state and her body language is doing the same thing as not only does she lean forward a bit towards him she also puts her left hand on her slender waist. You can also guess that he did not like a single bit of what Kiana said to him.

  Smug Student Council Member- You little… Let me guess, punching one of them in the face is protecting that person, right? Are you insane, you maniac! You could’ve killed him!

  “Humph! If they didn’t lay their dirty hands on my friend then nothing like that would’ve happened. They called her names, made fun of her and for last, they even pushed her, making her fall into the ground from how violent the one who did it was.”

  Smug Student Council Member- Of course! Now you’re lying! You are just making an excuse for your awful behaviour! Just take accountability for your actions! I will make you regret ever messing with us! You damn poor village girl-

  “Enough!”

  Wow, that sure was loud and quite aggressive per say. Yes, the one that shouted this was in fact Taniah. Her face is something else right now, however her anger seems to be towards the student council member rather than Kiana herself. I can understand it though, right at the end he was about to say something about “village girl”, you know, the same thing those four did to Anya. I’m actually starting to think that these two student council members are also involved somehow, or maybe those four students have some connections inside the student council? I mean, it makes sense but if it is the truth then, I don’t think it’s something good for the student council. Think with me, if the student council supports these types of discriminatory behaviours towards those who have less, what do you think will happen to their reputation? Yep, a deep nose dive down towards the damn ground, crashing in the process. Though, with Taniah's loud shout it was more than enough to “calm down” everyone in front of her, or at least it stopped him from saying something stupid.

  Taniah- Sigh… Kiana, tell me something, who were they bullying? You made quite the emphasis when you said that, you did what you did because you were protecting someone. Mind telling me who that person is?

  Kiana- Anya Pandora, that’s the girl those individuals were making fun of. Just like I said, they were name calling her, making fun of her, how she looked and some other stuff. They even pushed her to the ground for crying out loud! I only stopped one of them from doing something worse. The other three still used summoning stones to try to harm me. Not that it did anything, but something that I forgot to say.

  “(Anya Pandora… That name is familiar, where have I heard it before…)”

  Thankfully she quickly remembers where she heard that name. It was from Alice incident, the one from yesterday. I shouldn’t be this surprised for her to be on par with such events after all, she’s the president of the student council, so it’s expected.

  Taniah- It seems this is more complicated than what I was expecting. Before I make any judgement about this situation, wouldn’t you mind telling the full version of what happened? From your perspective of course.

  Smug Student Council Member- Prez! What’s the point of that!? I already told you what happened there! There is no point in hearing anything that comes out of her disrespectful mouth!

  Taniah- You know, this is starting to get ridiculous. Enough of your nonsense, I am the President of the Student Council, my decisions can have harsh consequences. I have to hear her version so that I can make the proper decision. You are a member of the student council, you have to act as such. Leave us alone, I will talk to the two of you later. And take this time to calm down.

  Taniah says all of this with a serious look on her face. Her tone of voice is harsh and somewhat cold. Her eyes stare at them with disappointment as she understands what they are doing. From this, both of them complain quite a bit before leaving, for some reason the other one decided to say something. Should’ve had his mouth shut as he said nothing useful. As they leave, they exchange an angry look at Kiana, one filled with rage and even hatred towards her. Seriously, what is wrong with these two? I know for a fact that Kiana has never met them before, so the same can apply to them. I do think the problem lies on the other students, the ones that bullied Anya. They more than probably told these two their extremely accurate version of what happened, making them act in this way.

  “I’m sorry about this Kiana. They are a bit too hot headed, but I hope they don’t mean it in a bad way. Although I will have to take care of their attitudes in the near future.”

  Kiana- Ah, don’t worry about it Taniah. Maybe they were told the wrong version and to be honest if my friend, Anya, told me that she got hit and was getting bullied, I would also be quite mad. After that, you find the one who supposedly did that, you confront them and they tell you that they didn’t do it. Yeah, I would also be pretty pissed actually.

  She says this with quite the casual tone of voice. Taniah on the other hand, her face is filled with shock. Her eyes are wide open, her mouth is doing the same thing but not to the same extent, it seems she took Kiana's reaction as a surprise and she might be right. Kiana is being a little too “nice” right now, too na?ve, ignorant of their true intentions.

  “(Is she this na?ve or am I missing something? Didn’t she understand what they were saying? The prejudice they were having with her financial status? The discrimination they were about to spit? They were this close to act as an elitist if I didn’t stop them and yet she’s…)”

  Taniah really is shocked, never in a million years she expected a reaction like Kiana. She seems sincere when she says all of that and that alone “bothers” Taniah by quite a bit. It seems there is a problem between the rich students and those who have less, I do believe that if Anya wasn’t from low economic status, then, they wouldn’t have bullied her, but who knows, they do seem that stupid. On Kiana's part, I think she’s not used to these type of situations or these type of human behaviours. At least that is what the “Gods”, The Void Empress in this case, filled my head with that information. Convenient I must say.

  Just how much information can she feed me? How much info has she fed me already?

  Taniah- I see what you are getting at but, they are part of the student council at the end of the day. I cannot let them act like that, they have to be calmer when they speak and more respectful towards others. The information they got is not concrete evidence, at least the majority of it, after all, you did hit one of them, didn’t you? Don’t think that it will go unnoticed although, you did have assumed that you did it, so at least I have to fully hear your version of the story, what really led you to do such a thing. So, please Kiana, tell me your side of the story, so that I can fix this in the best way possible.

  And so, without any time to waste at all, Kiana provides her version of the story, or in better words, the truth itself. She does so nonchalantly, casually telling her what happened. As you can probably expect, Taniah is surprised and shocked but for one thing in particular, that alone made her hesitant to fully believe Kiana's story. She also didn’t tell every single detail in a sense that, what her and Anya conversed about for example.

  “Black Wolf Fang!? Are you sure about that? Maybe you mistook them somehow?”

  This is the part that most shocked her, Black Wolf Fang are C rank monsters and as I mentioned before, they are quite dangerous even for your average adventurer let alone for an average joe. The vast majority of the students here are average in terms of strength and combat abilities but I mean it in a way such as an average joe is and not as an adventurer. To get a better idea, the average joe strength varies between D- and D+ while for an adventurer is at C+, a massive difference between them. With this alone you can expect the look Taniah made at Kiana, after all, Kiana single handed defeated the 3 of them. Yep, it seems Kiana looks keeps on giving the wrong impression even after she said that she has done adventurer work.

  “(I know I said that I wanted to hear her version of the story but this is ridiculous! Not only a Black Wolf Fang is a C rank monster, there were three of them and yet, she still was able to take them down! Also, how the hell did those three got their hands on summoning stones? Aren’t they first years? Something is definitely sketchy.)”

  Kiana- Yep, three of them. I could tell that they were Black Wolf Fang because of their size and the colour of their fur. They used three summoning stones for them, however I did notice that they didn’t not have any type of control over them. They were lucky I was there to defeat them, otherwise things would’ve ended quite gruesome, and I mean that.

  Taniah- I can see that happening, but what bothers me the most is, how did they get their hands on such stones? Who was the irresponsible person that sold it to them? Sigh… asking you the question won’t get us anywhere, just keep going.

  Taniah- So that’s your side of the story... Quite the difference from what they told me but I’m more inclined to believe you than them to be honest. I still haven’t forgotten about the punch though. Now I just need to get the final version before I decide something. I will have to talk to Miss Pandora to get her side and probably have someone protect her in case they decide to do it again. If I know that you’re lying then, you can say goodbye to this Academy, if they are the ones who are doing such a thing then, the proper punishment will be enforced.

  Kiana- Ye-Yeah! That’s fair, I think… Though I would appreciate it if you did that to her. She’s not a fighter by any means, not only that, she’s extremely weak so I believe that might be the best solution. But, do you know who she is? I can help you with that if you want!

  Taniah- No need for that, I’ve already heard about her from yesterday's incident. I know it was given a lab to her thanks to her intellect and I do know where that is. Quite amazing that she was able to get such privilege but that’s more thanks to her efforts than anything else. However, if she’s “stuck” in the same place every day, it will make her an easy target but at the same time, it will be easier to protect her. Though, I won’t keep you occupied for much longer as it is lunch time already. Once again thank you and if you ever change your mind about joining the student council, you know where to find me. Just don’t forget about the punch because I won’t!

  That punch sure traumatized her, now did it? She won’t let it go for crying out loud! But I can see her point of view, punching someone on the face sure is something else and knocking said person in the process is another thing. Ah, only our cute Kiana to do such a savage thing and have no remorse afterwards. In this situation, neither would I. Moving on, Kiana bids her farewell to Taniah, giving out a respectful bow as she does so. Right after that she leaves the gym with quite the happy mood, so much so that her footsteps even sound that way somehow. She goes to the canteen to have lunch, only to get lost in the process, that silly girl, she still does not know her way around the Academy. Anyway, even though Taniah said all of that to Kiana, she still is having trouble believing in some parts of Kiana story, they do seem a bit unreal, although she’s not the only one thinking the same thing.

  The Female Student that caused the misunderstanding - President, what are your thoughts about all of this? Aren’t the Black Wolf Fang C rank monsters? In my humble opinion, she does not seem to be that strong even though she said that she has done adventurer work. It’s hard to believe that part of her story because of that, but now that I’m letting my thoughts out into the world, the opposite can be said as it’s also hard to see her bullying four students at the same time. Yeah, something is not adding up.

  Taniah- Now you are starting to see my problem with all of this. At the end of the day, we are lacking way too much information about Miss Kiana. With a quick look we would judge her to be for the weak side, but reality is often what it does not seem to be. If she told me that she was some magician then, why wouldn’t I believe it? She never said anything about being physical with the monsters, maybe she used magic to defeat them and save the day with it.

  The Female Student that caused the misunderstanding – If we see it from that perspective then yes, it can be true. We really are lacking way too much information about all of this. Although those two sure were quite angry at her…

  Taniah- Don’t even mention that, I was this close to do something about them. Is that a behaviour from someone that is part of the student council? A member acting in such a disrespectful way towards someone without even concrete evidence? Do you know anything about them, why were they acting in such a way?

  The Female Student that caused the misunderstanding - No, not really, early this morning they seemed fine. Maybe it was what Miss Kiana said, that they got angry when someone told them what could’ve potentially happened to some friends of them?

  Taniah- You have nothing then, it seems I will have to talk to Alice-chan, maybe she knows something about this. I will also have to talk to Miss Pandora to get her side of the story as otherwise with all of this conflicted events and stories, I will have a hard time making the best decision. Miss Kiana did punch someone in the face, that alone could expel her but, if she did to protect her friend, although it was aggressive, I think I can prevent that from happening to her. But either way, I won’t punish or defend someone without knowing the full story, the truth in this case.

  “I am the President of the Student Council, and it is my duty to act in such a way. If I have to punish Miss Kiana for her aggressive behaviour then, that’s exactly what I will be doing. But, if I have to protect her from them then, that’s also what I will do.”

  She has a serious look on her face as she says this, as she proudly says all of this. Her chest is puffed up as she brings her right hand towards it and once it was close to it, she dramatically closes her hand at the same time. Her voice is firm but filled with confidence, her eyes tell anyone that looks at them that she's determined to make happen what she just said, what she affirmed. While there aren’t many people here, those who are, they look at her with admiration and even with a bit of excitement.

  The Female Student that caused the misunderstanding- That’s amazing president! I could never have such a way of thinking if I was in your position… I admire you! You are amazing! Truly a befit of such a title! Ah, how I wish I was by your side!

  Taniah- No need for that, I still have much to learn. However, you are a member of the student council, have you forgotten about that one, you silly?

  “Oh yeah! I forgot that for a few moments! I guess I went with the flow, but that is what you do to us when you speak like that!”

  They exchange a few giggles with each other as she says this with a teasing tone of voice. After this, everyone there keeps on doing what they were doing. Meanwhile our Kiana, our beautiful petite Kiana is still looking for the canteen so that she can have lunch.
