La Confitta del Capo

The free-for-all battle between Alice and friends, the cyborgs, and the Traveler Bros raged on, as Alice narrowly dodged the spinning scythes, her heart pounding with adrenaline. As she avoided the onslaught, she noticed that Fabio was free from her thread trap. Her eyes widened with a mix of concern and determination. She turned her gaze back towards Fabio, ready to face whatever he had planned.

Fabio, free from the thread's grasp, had a wicked smirk on his face. He knew he now had the upper hand. "You thought you could keep me bound, huh? Not a chance.”

Alice raised an eyebrow, matching Fabio's smirk with an unreadable expression. "I was just testing the strength of my thread. Seems like it did a pretty good job holding you back.”

Fabio chuckled, his confidence unwavering. "Don't flatter yourself. I was just playing along. If I wanted to, I could have broken out of those threads in seconds.”

Alice shrugged, masking her doubts. "Is that so? Sounds like a typical tough guy talk to me. All bark and no bite."

Meanwhile, the cyborg leader, still evading Delphina's attacks with ease, said with a calm tone. "Your anger is making you reckless. You're leaving openings in your defense."

Delphina exclaimed: "I'm not reckless! I know what I'm doing!"

The cyborg leader, his movements remaining fluid, dodged another attack from Delphina, a hint of sarcasm in his voice. "Really? It looks like you're just flailing about, hoping something will connect.”

Delphina gritted her teeth, her anger burning brighter with each missed attack. "I'm NOT just flailing around, dammit! I'm trying to take you on!"

She lunged once more, determined to land a hit, but the cyborg leader casually dodged her attack once more, his response tinged with mockery. "Trying and failing, yes."

Delphina's frustration reached its boiling point, conjuring her water cannon on her arm and firing a high-pressure blast at the cyborg leader.

The cyborg leader evaded the water blast effortlessly, almost mockingly. "Predictable."

Delphina's anger only grew stronger, her voice raising in frustration. "Shut up! I'll show you ‘unpredictable’!"

She continued to launch more cannon attacks, aiming wildly with her water cannon, but the cyborg leader gracefully dodged every single one, his tone still infuriatingly calm. "Impetuous. Your anger is blinding your judgment.”

Delphina's frustration simmered to a boil, her attacks becoming more erratic and desperate as the cyborg leader continued to elude her every move. "Dammit, stay still so I can land a damn hit!"

Delphina was prepared to shoot again before being slammed by Alice, who was sent flying by Fabio. Delphina gripped Alice's wrist in rage, putting her in front of herself like a human shield. "Alice!" she said in a commanding voice, "Tie him up using your thread!”

Alice, momentarily stunned by the unexpected impact, quickly recovered her bearings and nodded at Delphina's command. "Roger that!"

She promptly conjured two thick strings from her fingertips and ensnared the cyborg leader's arms, restraining his movements.

Meanwhile, Delphina, still using Alice as a human shield, kept a watchful eye on the cyborg leader, her fingers gripping Alice's wrist tightly. "What's your next move, metalhead?" she taunted, her voice dripping with snark as she charged up another water blast.

The cyborg leader, although slightly ensnared by Alice's threads, remained calm and composed. "A desperate move. Using your ally as a shield? How predictable."

Delphina, her grip still holding Alice firm, responded with a hint of defiance. "Desperate, maybe. But if it works, it works. And right now, it's working."

She aimed her charged water blast, preparing to fire it point-blank at the restrained cyborg leader. "You gonna dodge this one too, smarty?”

The cyborg leader, despite being tightly bound by Alice's threads, maintained an almost infuriating composure. "Your desperation clouds your perception. Your plan is foolish."

Delphina, her confidence returning, retorted with a determined tone. "Foolish or not, it's working. And if it means taking you down, I'll risk it!"

She focused the water blast, ready to release it upon the restrained cyborg leader. "Say your prayers, metalhead. This will hurt!”

The cyborg leader, though restrained, still spoke with calculated precision. "Foolhardy. Your actions have consequences."

Delphina, her determination unyielding, taunted in return. "Don't preach to me about consequences. Sometimes, you gotta take risks to win."

With a fierce look, she prepared to release the water blast, ready to aim at the restrained cyborg leader. "See ya, tin can!"

And with that, she fired the cannon, shooting a blast of water that pierced a large hole in the cyborg.

The water blast struck true, piercing a hole through the cyborg leader's torso, causing some internal damage.

The cyborg leader stumbled, his composure faltering for the first time. "You...fool."

Delphina, surprised by her success, smirked in satisfaction. "Looks like you're not so untouchable after all, metalhead.”

The cyborg leader, his composure shattered, struggled to respond. "I... underestimated you."

Delphina, still holding tight to Alice, smirked even more. "Yeah, you bet your metallic ass you did."

Alice took the initiative and used her thread to decapitate the cyborg leader.

The cyborg leader's head hit the ground with a metallic thud and exploded, leaving the decapitated body to go limp.

Delphina, her grip softening on Alice, was taken aback. "Damn... That... That actually worked. Heh, I guess I am unpredictable after all."

With the cyborg leader's defeat, Delphina felt a rush of victory, still holding onto Alice. However, her triumph was short-lived as the sight of the approaching dual-scythe death tornado created by the remaining cyborgs sent a wave of fear through her.

"Oh crap," she muttered under her breath, quickly shielding Alice behind her. "Covering you.”

Alice, now safely shielded behind Delphina, nodded in understanding. "Thanks, Delph."

The shark woman nodded in return, her eyes locked on the two spinning cyborgs, waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike. When she detected an opening, she dashed in, using her shark tail to decapitate one of the cyborgs, sending the tornado haywire. Alice set up a thread trap, which sliced up the other cyborg into pieces as he barreled into it.

With the dual-scythe death tornado disrupted and the second cyborg now in pieces, Delphina breathed a sigh of relief, relaxing her guard momentarily.

Alice, grateful for the momentary reprieve, breathed a sigh of relief. "Phew, that was close."

Delphina chuckled. "Yeah, it was. You alright, Alice?"

"Ugh, yeah," she replied calmly, observing the fight between the other combatants. "We just need to help Rachel and Zalgo take down the Traveler Bros and that's it.”

Delphina nodded, her gaze shifting towards the ongoing battle between the Traveler Bros and Alice's friends.

"Right. We gotta help them out."

With determination in their eyes, Delphina and Alice rushed in to assist Rachel and Zalgo, ready to support them in their conflict against the powerful Traveler Bros.
