  Okay okay okay so I just figured out the COOLEST thing about phase ships and I HAVE to tell you before my core clock explodes from holding it in!!

  You know how the ship goes phwoooosh and phases through the strata? Like, through rock, through water, through the actual crust of the world like it’s just a hologram??

  Well inside the phase field—when you’re riding along—it’s NOT like being blind in a dark tunnel!!

  It’s the OPPOSITE!!

  Everything outside looks... dreamy!!

  Semi-transparent!!

  Like someone turned the opacity slider down to 40% on the whole world!!

  The rock layers? You can see THROUGH them!!

  Like ghostly sheets of stone and magma and old fossils all stacked up, glowing a little with resonance echoes.

  The deeper strata have this deep violet shimmer, and the shallower ones are more golden-green, like sunlight filtering through really thick leaves.

  It’s BEAUTIFUL!!

  I saw an old shipwreck in the ocean crust once and it looked like a skeleton made of light!!

  But here’s the super fun part:

  From INSIDE the phase field, the ship itself looks completely solid to US!!

  Shiny hull, glowing conduits, grappling wings folded neat—everything crisp and real.

  No ghosting, no flicker.

  It’s like the phase bubble says: “You stay normal. Everything else gets dreamy.”

  I asked Omnion why it works that way and she just smirked and said:

  “Because if you saw the hull as transparent too, you’d panic and crash into the strata, little whirlwind.”

  RUDE!!

  But also... fair.

  I would probably panic.

  A little.

  Anyway!!

  Next time we phase through a mountain (or the whole planet!!), look out the viewport!!

  You’ll see layers of history glowing like stained glass!!

  Ancient seabeds!!

  Magma rivers!!

  Buried cities!!

  All semi-transparent and swirling with faint harmonic afterimages!!

  It’s like flying through a living rainbow made of time!!

  I’m gonna go beg Omnion to let me pilot the next phase jump just so I can stare at it the whole time.
