According to what was recorded in the diary, the Empire was a powerful nation with extremely terrifying ambitions, using its advanced techniques and technology beyond its time, this nation began the Great Conquest Seventy years ago, sweeping over Eighty Percent of the world's territory, truly becoming the lord under this heaven.
But the ambitions of that mighty monster would not stop here, thanks to the promotion of war, the Empire's Science and Technology had made great strides fifty years ago after the discovery of a great Scientist.
After knowing the true potential of that discovery, the Government of the Empire spared no expense and gathered all of the country's resources and poured them all into that one research project.
This was also the reason why there was still Twenty Percent of the world's territory that had not been reached by this nation's long arms.
In any case, the research that had consumed almost the entire treasury of the Empire twenty years ago had finally produced a worthy result.
And that result was something called 'Travel Heart', a magical material that could transport its user to other planets in an instant.
That's right, this was the result of research that had consumed more than half of the treasury of this largest nation in the world for nearly three decades. The effect was nothing more than allowing the Empire to expand its territory to other planets, laying the foundation for this giant monster's dream of dominating the galaxy.
However, during their first experiment, some errors appeared and caused the Space Transfer to fail.
However the accident is completely within the scientists' calculations, but through these experiments, not only does they successfully brought their people to the other planets and returned safely but some also discovered another miraculous ability of the Travel Heart.
That is the ability to Travel to Another Dimesion, Moving Across the Border of Space itself.
This discovery drove the Empire even crazier than before, so using all the resources they gathered from the conquered planets, another experiment was given green light.
And finally, Two Years Ago, the Meat Egg or to be more accurate the HeadEngine was born.
Everything seemed to be going according to plans but the Empire and its Scientists probably didn't expect that their experiments with Dimensional Travel for nearly twenty years had already attract the Unwelcome Attention of an Uninvited Guest.
And like many other uninvited guests, this one also decided to come here for a visit that will satisfy His curiosity and at the same time, bring an end to the glorious days of the Empire.
Taking the completed version of the HeadEngine with them, the remnants of the Empire attempted to use their greatest creation to flee from this world, but ended up dying all over again, before the Uninvited Guest could even reach them in time.
And now, the remnants left by the Uninvited Guest were chasing right behind Voma.
The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
Without him knowing, the pitch-black mist that covered the entire sky had appeared right behind the young man. Even though a moment ago it was still been far away on the horizon hard to see even with a bright eyes, but now for some reason it already only a few kilometers away from Voma.
Just like a horror movie villain, moving around randomly, appearing wherever the script told him to appear, regardless of whether it is logical or not.
Voma's brain began to intensely secrete Endorphins, reducing the pain his body was enduring, allowing the young man to temporarily forget the pain and use all of his strength to run away from the thing that was chasing him from behind.
The wound on his thigh bone and internal organs made Voma stumble every two steps, and the mountainous terrain made his speed decrease even more severely.
"Yeah, I know..."
Blood kept flowing from his eyes, mouth, and nose, the blood in his eyes gradually blurred his vision, and his mind seemed to no longer be normal as he started to mumble incomprehensible words.
But he still ran, he still tried to run with all his might, but every time his foot hit the ground hard, the fracture on his femur would open up a little more, every time his body moved hard, the tear on his internal organs would become a little more serious.
"Not really, the Endorphin has suppressed most of the pain, I'm running slowly because my femur is broken."
Voma ran straight without looking back, because he felt that if he turned around, the Black Mist would most likely appear right behind him.
Unlike the character in those cheap horror movies, he kept running without looking back, kept running until he came across the empty arena where he had first encountered the Meat Egg, but now both the meat egg and the deep red lines on the ground had disappeared without a trace.
If it weren’t for the eggshell still being there, Voma would have thought he had wandered off somewhere else.
Seeing the bloody wooden stake he had thrown away earlier, the young man conveniently picked it up again and continued running straight to where he found the lighter. In no time, the two giant train cars from earlier reappeared before his eyes.
However, unlike before, the train now had tracks, but this wasn’t the first thing that caught Voma’s attention, the first thing he noticed was on the front of the train.
The front of the train, instead of being made of solid steel like before, is now covered or rather, swallowed by a giant lump of dark red flesh with a huge eye in the front.
Not only that, from the lump of flesh at the front of the train, all kinds of tentacles stretched out from it, then split into many lines that tightly attached to the outer body of both train cars, looking like blood vessels.
This thing is none other than HeadEngine, the most advanced technology of the Empire, converging all the quintessence of the country that had always been the master of this world.
HeadEngine seemed to have noticed Voma's presence, its giant pupil glanced at him and suddenly let out a creepy sound.
"Request... confirmation... departure..." Its voice was very cold but if you listened closely, you would hear a hint of urgency hidden deep behind that scary voice.
Clearly, this was an expression of fear.
"Is HeadEngine trying to communicate with me?" Voma tapped his slightly dizzy head and started to crawl into the locomotive car.
The interior design of this carriage had also been radically changed, Voma could clearly see many fleshy tentacles covering every corner of the carriage, but he was not in the mood to pay attention to those points at the moment.
The HeadEngine needed the confirmation command of the Leader, the Owner, the Conductor or to put it bluntly, the Master, before it could start moving, this was a setting that had been pre-installed by the Empire's scientists, why they had to do this was easy to understand, there was no need to explain it at length.
"Identity Confirmation... Conductor?"
After boarding the train, Voma quickly ran to the Control Panel to confirm his identity as the Conductor. Hearing the question raised by the HeadEngine, Voma immediately responded without hesitation.
"Confirm!"
As soon as the word Confirm left Voma's mouth, a beam of light suddenly shot out from below the floor and above the ceiling, covering the young man's entire body before slowly shrinking and finally completely disappearing at his chest.
Voma didn't feel any difference, but he knew that he is now the Conductor of the Flesh Rail.
"To begin the... departure... please follow... the instructions..."
Without further hesitation, Voma immediately started the train, confirming the Departure request according to the HeadEngine's instructions.
Immediately, a scream rang out, coming from deep within the HeadEngine's core, signaling that the train was preparing to depart and had begun its journey. At the same time the wall in front of Voma suddenly projected the scenery outside the train, probably through the huge eye of HeadEngine's.
After seeing the scenery outside, Voma knew that the train had started moving because he didn't feel any vibration indicating that this transport device was moving, It's like standing on ground, the stability is incredibly strong.
The speed of the train is very fast, at the current speed, although it couldn't shake off the Black Mist behind, it still enough to maintain a safe distance before the train entered the Dimensional Tunnel.
Normally, the HeadEngine would be able to immediately enter the Dimension Tunnel, but because it was forced to give birth prematurely, it currently had to gain momentum for a period of time before it could use its ability.
Seeing that he was safe, Voma sat down tiredly on the chair in front of the control panel, but suddenly something caught his eye, forcing him to stand up again.
