Paul, a small time wizard, has a run in with a powerful necromancer vampire, who turns him into one of the undead. After a run in with more powerful heroes Alaric is slain and Paul is left on his own, with a small army of undead and a magically bonded servant. Not intending to die like Alaric, Paul works to build his own kingdom.
