Chapter 11: Class Selection Part.2

  Chapter 11: Class Selection Part.2

  First person POV.

After spending who knows how long reading through all the options and considering which one to choose I reduced the list of potential classes to 5 choices.

  Elemental Mage (Epic)

  Star Blessed Astral Mage (Epic)(Blessed)

  Mana Enhanced Battle Mage (Epic)(Enhanced)

  Astral Walker (Heroic)

  Astral Tamer (Heroic).

I had also considered the Fallen Starling option but even though it gave the most benefits out of all the options, it also had very strict restrictions attached to it. Especially from the fact that choosing it would lock me into the Cursed classes, it giving me this warning can only mean that I can change Classes later on after all the given classes are just F-rank even if they are Epic or Heroic.

I am not a fan of short term power if it means that I will have problems in the long run and the mention of curses and unlocking a Cursed stat don't sound very safe in the slightest. I also noticed that each increase in tier led to the classes allowing double the previous classes stats per level and an additional stat being unlocked and also providing more better skills. Such as an Uncommon class unlocks 3 new stats and gives 5 stats per level whereas a Rare class unlocks 4 new stats and gives 10 stats per level.

Anyways I have considered choosing Elemental Mage even though it's Epic tier is because of its Elemental skills and the fact that it gives two Elemental Affinities and other Elemental Affinity skills. It's essentially a Jack of all trades and Master of None. At first I had been a bit confused about the difference between the better Affinity skills and just the Affinities, so I had asked the system for an explanation and this is what I had gotten.

Basically a True Affinity is what you wanna have if you are going to use magic as it greatly increases the efficiency of it. Though I think I will remove it from the list as now that I think about it I think specializing would be better at the moment as I am kind of stuck in a deadly dungeon where I could die any minute.

Next I have the Blessed class and the Enhanced class among which I immediately removed the Enhanced class as while it is very good and it also grants a title, I am not really a fan of going deep into the battle and getting myself bloody fighting in close quarters. As for the Blessed class it's still on the list as while one of its stats may already be unlocked for me I still quite like the magic focus of the class and it is also connected to the Luck stat which I haven't really found for yet so perhaps it would let me use my luck.

Next I have the Heroic classes among them the Astral Tamer class while being very enticing to me couldn't really convince me to pick it as it requires me to actually tame a Astral entity but right now I don't think I will find a Astral creature the dungeon as its theme is overgrowth. It is also the only class with a special stat which just doubled my desire for it but in the end I removed it from the list.

So in the end the choice was between the Star Blessed Astral Mage and the Astral Walker. After spending a bit of time thinking about it I chose the Astral Walker class even though I was very curious about the Luck stat and its possible uses.

The Heroic class was just better overall for surviving the dungeon as it gave two Affinities, 40 stats per level spread between four stats equally and Magic skills for both the elements together with conversion skills for both the elements.

As I finally made my decision and chose the Astral Walker class a new screen popped up as the class screen slowly melted away into a blue liquid before charging towards and disappearing unlike every other previous system screen which just blinked out of existence after telling me what it needed to tell.

As I finished reading the new skills and the class assimilation screen appeared I started to lose consciousness as my mind slowly shut down the last thing I saw was as the progress slowly went up.
