"Damn, I'm hungry."

  It's Saturday noon. I had nothing to do, so I decided to do something instead.

  Deciding to go outside, I walked out my front door.

  "What the hell is this?"

  Looking around for the sounds, I found someone attacked by the weird green creature.

  "Tuyul?"

  No, it's too ugly to be one. It didn't even look humane in the first place, is what I thought.

  "What are you doing? Help me!"

  "Right, sorry"

  It was a green-skinned monster with a height of 130 centimeters, skinny limbs, and a protruding belly.

  The monster had teeth that looked fiercer than a dog, and the red eyes seemed to have rotten blood.

  “Kieee!”

  It shrieked loudly, attacking that person.

  I kicked that tiny little green monster out of that person's body. That thing is just too ugly to feel sympathy for. The green monster fell on the floor screaming.

  "Kiiiieeek!"

  "Damn, it's still moving."

  "Of course, he's still moving from that weak kick."

  "A Thanks wouldn't be hurt."

  "You're right. Sorry about that, and thank you."

  "Yeah, yeah. Any ideas what that thing is?"

  "No, it just popped up out of nowhere and attacked me."

  "I see. Is it the so-called migration?"

  "You see that stupid Windows message, too? I thought I was hallucinating seeing those windows right before I attacked."

  "Poor you, anyway, what should we do with that weird green thingy? I never punch anything to death and don't want to try it now. Should we run? My house literally over there."

  I said while pointing at my house.

  "Wait, wait a minute, I want to try something."

  Said that person while walking up towards that green Monster.

  Bang!

  A huge sound comes up from a clenching fist against the helpless, crouching green Monster's face; the face caves in, and then it dies just like that.

  "That's how you punch things to death. Want me to teach you how to do a decent kick, too?"

  Said that person smugly.

  "You have that kind of strength this whole time?! How come you yell and ask for help in the first place?"

  "Hey, I was panicking at the time, and I also didn't know I had this kind of power too. Oh well, It's my talent. It's called [Herculean strength]. Apparently, it gives you strength and increases the growth of your strength."

  "Are you fine telling your talent to a stranger just like that? I think that kind of information is something that you need to keep to yourself."

  I said while walking towards my home.

  He Stopped his walk and turned around.

  "Mine, Rian. Are you sure it's safe running around at the times when an ugly creature pops up out of nowhere?"

  "Oh, doubting your eyes, aren't we? It's too bad that I have many things I need to check up on when the world is about to end. See you around."

  "Ah, that's right. Take care then."

  Well, at least I already showed good intentions, I thought in my mind. Things that need to be checked when the world's is about to end, eh? I don't even have any parents left to look out for. It's pathetic.

  At least I have nothing holding me back in this kind of situation. Damn, now that's really some pathetic thought.

  Inside the house, I start gathering my thoughts and planning what am I supposed to do.

  I need to barricade this house. While that [achievement] thingy sounds intriguing, I don't have any power to achieve anything. Damn, for me to have this kind of useless talent that I don't even understand what is it for, even if the world is about to end the world seems still unfair to some people, hahah.

  Good thing my house is small. It didn't take long to barricade the house, After barricading the house for any possible entry, I checked my rations luckily, I have a few boxes of instant noodles stacked, a big bag of rice, and a few dozen eggs too, not because I'm prepared for this kind of Scanerio it just cause I'm a guy living alone, What do you expect me to eat?

  "Meow"

  A cat approached me.

  Right, things got so hectic I forgot about our cutest furball named Misty.

  "Sorry, it seems you need to be fasting on wet cat food."

  "Shaaash"

  She answered angrily and started walking away from me.

  Does she understand it? Animal is a wonder, after all, especially my lovely little furball.

  Anyway, I have packed a lot of cat food. It's just all dry ones cause wet ones tend to expire way faster, and I just buy her ones sometimes for snacks. Also, I stocked a lot of cat food cause I'm just too lazy to buy it every time it runs out. Haha, my laziness actually bore me some fruit.

  "How lucky of me, hahah :')"

  "Meow?"

  "Yes, yes, you're the cutest of them all."

  I said while trying to pick her up

  "Shaaaahssh"

  Her tried rebelling from my hands and pushing my face away from her using her paws.

  "Ow, spicy one, are we? Fine, what do you want for dinner then? There is some wet food left. I will let you finish it up."

  "Meeouuuw??"

  "Oh, delighted, aren't you?"

  Does she really understand me? It's really a dilemma for pet owners. Do I really need to go to those bogus scam pet communicators? Never mind, those guys are probably dead already or going to be in a world like this.

  "I guess no takeout food for me today, too, damn."

  Now that I'm thinking back, I think I'll have eggs for dinner since eggs expire way faster than instant noodles, but eating them without each other felt empty. Fine, just think of it as a cheat day. I didn't plan to be stuck here forever in the first place. It's just until the government does something about it, or I can at least understand what the heck is going on.

  "Yep, I'm going for a double pack of instant noodles and three Sunnyside eggs."

  Lovely, after finishing my food, I have nothing to do. Outside also, it still seems quiet.

  I thought while peeking at barricaded windows.

  While I don't know where that green Monster might pop up from, I think that creature only pops up in open space. Still, the case isn't enough to confirm my deduction, in case I put any sharp objects that can be used to protect me in arm's reach.

  "As long as I didn't put it close enough to disturb my sleep, it's good enough, I guess. And to be honest, if my deduction failed me, I hope my death is in my sleep at least, haaah."

  I said to myself, trying to convince myself to sleep. It's not even evening yet, but with tiredness after barricading and a full belly help, I fall asleep right away.
