The following fight started almost like a dance, with the mantis like beast rearing up to its hind legs and opening its mandibles, and Jeolas began to jump between left and right, ready to strike in case his opponent would give him an opening.

  After both sides finish posturing, the Mantis dashed forward, her sickles blurring as she quickly accelerated towards the warlock.

  Immediately upon noticing motion, he dodges to the side, effectively evading the attack and calming himself down a little.

  "Takes a bit longer to spin around... definitely noteworthy."

  He says, sidestepping the insectoids' next attack and slapping the creature on the back, his hand buzzing as he infuses the beast with ground mana, utilizing the well known tactic to weaken his enemy and get a bit of an advantage early on. The fight continued like that, small areas of the beast turning to stone bit by bit and the monster slowing down with each of his hits.

  It took him a minute to cover the creature completely, and his hand went in to deal the killing blow.

  "That's what you get for challenging me, the lord of these people, and a bane to all that is twisted."

  He announced, and just as his hand shot forward, it suddenly fell to the floor.

  His guards pushed their weapons in but couldn't penetrate the petrified chitine that covered the beast. Limited to one hand, Jeolas decided to risk everything. He began to prepare a spell he had been working on for quite some time while trying his best to dodge the sickles that seemed to surpass any limit their increased weight should have upon them.

  At first, Jeolas was covered in more and more cuts whenever his opponent moved. Finally, after the fight seemed to drag in for an eternity, the Mantis made a mistake. Similar to Jeolas before her, she had grown reckless.

  As she stood back up to finish her crippled opponent, intimidating him with a quick roar, the warlock did the impossible and finished his spell. It was as econd of touching his opponents chest, jumping on her back and drawing on the element of air and ice.

  A breeze was unleashed that slowed the insectoid down, while the air above her began to increase in temperature, prompting Jeolas to dash away. Light blasted behind him, followed by thunder. Everyone fell to the ground when he turned around to see the result, laughing manically as he saw only the steaming carcass standing upright for a few seconds before it fell together.

  "My people, there is a cave nearby. Follow my example and kill those who dare oppose us, like I punished those that dared to challenge our reign. We must purify what is unjust, and this cave will be ours for the following day."

  His announcement was met with cheers as everyone agreed, while Nemo shook his head.

  "I could have killed that easily. There was no need for anyone to get hurt."

  He commented, shaking his head as they settled into the dark crevice that had been mentioned earlier.

  "It seems that neglecting my agility was a stupid mive. Even with a body like Mine, I require movement to not be killed. It feels like a waste, but I shall follow my gut on this. I do like the Idea of getting Intuition to twenty, though."

  Now, the entire group went to sleep, only Paladin guarding them from the darkness that was the world before them, while Jeolas attempted to build something in the darkness before him.
