Matilda came up with a few ideas when it came to Nate. She could just kill him, which was the best idea in her opinion!
The next idea was that she just brings back to life anyone that he kills on his way to Golden Haven.
Why was it that she felt like everyone that received a letter should attend? That was what made things a little hard to just wipe him off the map. But why did she feel that way?
It was official, right? Is that why? But even if it were important and official, why did it matter so much?
Nate would be a terrible emperor!
Another idea was to rock up in front of him with his dead brother and tell him that this will happen to him if he kills anyone.
That was the best idea that she had so far. It would be a warning, and it would show him that she meant business!
“I’d prefer you not to go alone, my love. At least take me with you!” Matthew stated.
Steven immediately said, “Me too!”
“He wants to kill you!” Matilda stated. They were both against Nate and so they were his enemies, his targets!
He probably wants to kill you more than if he did me, that’s even if he knew who I used to be…
“I am against you going by yourself!” Matthew stated, a bit harshly.
Matilda looked at him and finally smiled, “Ok…I won’t go by myself…”
It was decided that the family of three would go, as even though a fight may not occur, Kin was quite keen to impress his mother with any type of skill whatsoever!
After obtaining a pretty dodgy, dead body, that was indeed that of Kevin, or was it Keith?
…Matilda could hardly remember his name!
Nonetheless, the body was found and fixed a tiny bit so that Nate would know for sure that that was his brother.
Having had watched movies about the kind of people that had a job with dead people, Matilda now had an idea about perhaps what they might be feeling when they had to fix the body for showing, she could see it as a job now, whereas before she couldn’t.
If you can get over the smell and rigor mortis that takes over, it’s fine…Right?
Dead people had originally given her the goosebumps!
Now, after killing people in more than one occasion, dead bodies were just a vessel…It was what held the one inside…It was the one inside that now gave her goosebumps!
It’ll probably never become known whether a soul is a real thing or not, or if it is real, if it is a separate entity from the body. Matilda felt like she should know more, considering that she did indeed transmigrate. Perhaps that was why she was able to do whatever it was to dead bodies now…Because she knew that they no longer had whatever it was inside anymore…I mean, if it did, then would she be here to begin with!? Wouldn’t she be stuck where she had been in a car crash, to have done whatever the next of Kin wanted with her body?
Wait…
Matilda remembered that before that life, she had indeed had another, as Empress Manda…So, at least for her, the soul was separate to the body…How could she not believe that certain aspect!?
Teleporting her man and her son in front of Nate, who was on his way towards the closest Golden Heir that were on their way to Golden Haven, Matilda just dropped the body in front of him, without saying a word.
Nate eyed the people in front of him and did not have a good feeling!
For a long time now, teleporting was not a thing!
No one was doing it!
It was only when that vixen had been around that teleporting…
But he did not see a familiar red eyed girl among them.
It didn’t matter, Nate was quite vigint and had his eyes peeled for anything!
Matilda finally spoke, “This one got a warning. Now it’s your turn.”
Nate frowned and then looked closer at the dead body.
Seeing, finally, that it was his brother, Nate then looked at them again.
He had been certain that the ‘golden link’ that had been in Golden Haven had been severed and that…That one had been his brother. Having noticed one day it was gone, right now he was not surprised to see him in front of him as dead.
Widening his eyes, he finally remembered Matthew, that prince!
Already, Nate found more important news to him, then that of the lifeless body before him.
The other one though, the other man that is, he did not know at all!
Waiting for Nate to pay attention, Matilda looked at Matthew and shock her head.
Matthew turned to Nate and took just a few strides before Nate was in his hands. “You will heed this message well!”
That’s my man!
Matilda smiled and then looked at Kin, who was watching and learning himself.
That’s my boy! This is fun!
Because she had not spoken, Matthew turned to her and gave her one nod. To any onlooker you’d think they’d be pretty new to intimidation but…They weren’t…
Walking up to Nate, Matilda had to jump over Kelvin…Kevin?
“If you are to kill any Golden Heirs, especially right now when all have been informed of this meeting, you will be killed for interrupting a very important event. Having you gone will not deter this meeting and you will not be missed!”
Nate narrowed his eyes at her, “Who are you to make up some me rule!”
Matilda smirked at him, “I am the w buddy! The rock, the tree! And I’m not about to waste my time on someone who won’t make a good Golden Emperor anyway! So…If you want any chance whatsoever, at the dream you hold most dear to you, I suggest you put away your killer instincts once and for all and start thinking about the world as one!”
“You’ve got to be jesting!” Nate stated, pushing himself away from Matthew, only for Matthew to hold him tighter.
Matilda narrowed her eyes at him, “Do you want to try? I have no line at the moment, I no longer wish to waste my time on people who are bck hearted! I am very serious!”
Looking away from her and then at Matthew, to frown at him manhandling him, Nate then sighed.
His thoughts might have felt slow to Matthew and Kin, who couldn’t hear them but just waited, but for Matilda, she felt his thoughts surging…
How did he keep up with himself!? Wasn’t he getting to forty or fifty by now!? Wasn’t he like…Old!?
“Let me go.” Nate stated calmly.
Matilda eyed Nate and then nodded at Matthew.
“Your idea upon waiting until I’m gone will not work…I am watching you…” Matilda stated.
Again, Nate was quiet. She really did remind him of that red eyed vixen…God he hated her!
Oh, how close he was to the truth! If he really did have a choice, on who to kill that was in front of him, Matilda was wrong…Because it would probably be her that he’d want to attack without a second thought!
Could he really do it? Give up, what did she call it, killer instincts?
Was it the only way to obtaining what he wanted?
Seeing Matilda nod to him, Nate widened his eyes at her…
“This is your st chance…” Matilda stated, taking Matthew’s hand and walking back with him to Kin.
“And what of any others? Do they get the same type of treatment?” Nate asked.
Matilda raised her eyebrows at him, quite surprised, yet really, why was she surprised!?
Leaning her head to the side, Matilda finally said, “At the moment no, you are the only one that wants to kill others! But if you must know, I have nothing to withheld, I will treat them as I have treated you!”
“I can’t be the only one. To be the Golden Emperor is a very big…”
Matilda snapped at him, “Big what! A big dream!? Do you have any idea what kind of responsibility it would be to be the Golden Emperor!?”
Nate was taken aback to her sudden outburst. “To be the Golden Emperor is to be the strongest on the pnet. To have your own haven, the one Haven that controls all the other Haven’s and emperor’s!”
Matilda let go of the two hands and stepped forwards, “Do you want that responsibility!? Do you want all those lives upon your shoulders!? Do you want to be busy from dawn till dusk! Do you want no freedom and possibly no real friends to count on or trust!?”
Surely…Whatever she thinks, to be the one with most power…Why wouldn’t anyone want it?
Nate shook his head, “To be Golden Emperor is my dream!”
“It’s a stupid dream!” Matilda yelled at him. “I wouldn’t want it! Matthew, do you want it!?”
Matthew took a moment but shook his head, “I am not willing.”
Nate looked at Matthew in shock, “Why not!?”
Matthew stared at Nate for a moment and then held his hands out towards Matilda, “As my beloved has said, it would be a tedious job.”
Job!? Job!
Were they pying tricks on him!? Were they trying to stop him from going to the meetings and not attempt to become the next Golden Emperor because…Because they wanted it instead!?
Matilda ughed and shook her head, “He thinks we are pying with him. Let’s go…”
In just mere seconds they were gone, and Nate blinked and shook his head, almost like all of that was a dream…Except there was a dead body still before him that told him otherwise…
Just after teleporting back, Matilda looked at Kin…Staring at him until he was utterly nervous!
“…Mother?”
“It’s time, young padawan!” Matilda finally stated and put both her hands on his shoulders.
He widened his eyes and blinked at her, “Time for what!?”
“Fight me! Show me! Show me what you have, young padawan!” Dearly she loved to ugh at this moment, but Matilda thought that it might just be too much…
While Matthew was silently asking what a ‘padawan’ was, Kin smiled. To be so singled out by his mother and to be given the chance to show her his talent was…Well he had no words!
He nodded enthusiastically and so Matilda kissed her man and then pulled Kin away from the area, so that they could spar without hurting anything or anyone.
“How do you want to do this? Father and I don’t usually have any kind of rules, but Uncle Steven likes to do some fights with cultivation and some fights without…” Kin was talking a bit faster than usual and happily continued to be guided away by his mother.
Matilda suddenly stopped and then looked at him, “What do you want to do?”
Kin smiled and looked down, “I’m happy just to be able to do this with you, Mother!”
Sighing, Matilda thought only for a minute and then nodded, “I’m a bit rusty but we’ll just go all out. Just don’t kill me!”
There were a few things that Matilda had not seen, and this was one of them. She had not looked into their past upon any type of fights.
Wishing she had, so that she knew what she was up against, Matilda couldn’t help but want to see what he can do! She was excited!
It had been too long! Doing exercises with Katherine had made her think of sparing again but Katherine didn’t seem to be keen on it!
It was most likely because Katherine didn’t want to ever hurt her, as she was still somewhat the ‘Princess’ in her eyes but still it probably would have helped both of them out if they had done some sparring!
Don’t look! No peeking!
It was Matilda’s own voice in her head telling herself this!
Stepping away from one another, Matilda did a few stretches and wanted to remember if she did something to get ready for a fight in the past…
Wait! Where’s my swords!?
It was only just now that she remembered that she could just use one sword, instead of two, simply because she had yet to get back into using two swords! Hell, she hasn’t even got a real sword because she had been training with a wooden one!
It’s fine! Don’t panic!
