The Grand Divide: an event that split the world into four nations. Nobody saw, heard, or understood how or why it happened. One thing known about this event, however, was the apparition of Traits and Skills.
Skills are unique abilities developed or acquired. They can vary from the mildest increase in strength to the power to slice space itself. Traits are far more complex to expin, but one could see them as an Identity, something that cannot be passed on, unlike Skills, which can only be found deep inside oneself. Anybody can have a Trait, but not a Skill.
The Grand Divide granted such capabilities to life in all forms and birthed Aether or the Blood of the Earth. When used correctly, these mysterious crystals can produce countless forms of energy, like electricity. But if misused at all, they result in a pgue, one so vicious it attacks life itself. Such a pgue is almost a myth nowadays, and thanks to the many technological advances, its effects can be restored, although only to a certain extent.
The Pgue of 184 AOA (Age Of Aether) is the most fgrant dispy of this sickness's power. In a matter of weeks, it ravaged the fourth Grand Nation of Elsweiss, turning this once fertile and green nd into a gray wastend where barely anything could survive. Two hundred and forty-six years ter, the New Elsweiss is now habitable, but this ancient pgue has yet to disappear, rendering much of the nd unhospitable.
Now let us dive more into the four Grand Nations. They are Valshidia, the kingdom of fire. Feon, the kingdom of steel. Navida, the kingdom of nature, and New Elsweiss, the kingdom of science...
Bell ringsWell, time is up. There is so much more to say, but so little time. Do not worry, dear viewers. Things will gradually unveil themselves as the story progresses. Now it's time to begin.
