Jayr POV - Earth, Geia, Mert ty, Lone Oak Farm - 2010
I'm looking at the now and already plowed field ready to be used with a satisfied smile on my face while thinking, 'Good this is the third ohe m at the farm started quite well. First, everyone had a healthy breakfast together and thearted our day by doing everything we had already pnned yesterday befoing to sleep. Shane, Andrea, and Gleo a nearby town to do a supply run searg for not only things that could be useful but more importantly for some tools and parts o fix and upgrade the sor panels and battery so that they run without issues.'
I pick up my tools and casually start to walk toward the st field assigo me while tinuing that line of reasoning, 'Another one who left the farm's perimeters is Daryl who went to explore the nearby woods on his own not only to hunt for some game, but also to scout our surroundings for any threat and search for any wild dairy animal t back to the farm so that we raise them. Oher hand, I and the others who remained on the farm started to up and prepare the various fields by getting rid of the weeds and other rown pnts, till the soil, and in some cases even plowing it so that we could successfully sow the modified seeds I prepared beforehand that will fully mature in around a month allowing us to easily feed both roups and maybe even some nearby unities in difficulty.'
While thinking that, I quickly arrived in front of the st field that was assigo me, and just like the st three I did before, this ooo was one of the rger fields of the farm and also one of those in the worst state of .
Of course, I was the one who offered to take care of the fields that he most physical work for the very obvious reason that what is true hard bor for Rid the others is nothing more than a rexing but time-ing walk for me.
As soon as I arrive in front of the field full of rown weeds, I quickly look around and use my other seo make sure that no one is nearby before I pick up a scythe, the farming tool, not the cool looking but very difficult to use and master on, and after a few casual swings to once agai used to the characteristic of this tool, I start to fully focus on what I'm about to do as I need perfect trol and precision.
I trate on my target and start to already envision the final result for a few moments before I casually swing the scythe in my hands with enough force to gee a thin, sharp wind bde that quickly flies over the soil slig off all the weeds growing on it only to harmlessly disperse as soon as it leaves the field's perimeters.
Seeing the result, I smile, put down the scythe, and pick up the rake before I once again give it a few swings to test its limits.
Once I've dohat, I once again focus and start to swing the rake around, this time produg some precise gusts of wind that gather together and pull away from the field all the sliced-off weeds and other pnt debris leaving behind only the clear soil.
At this point, I walk into the field and start to carefully study the soil as I o see if this soil o be tilled or plowed as those are two differehods that have two differes.
Tilling is an agricultural preparation of the soil by breaking the soil apart meically, however, it usually otes the process of "bing" or "raking" the ground to sift and stir through the ks and bits of the soil.
The process itself doesn't go deeper than 30 timeters which means Tilling should only be as shallow as that or even lower and this be easily doh a hoe, mattock, rake, or shovel.
Oher hand, plowing is still teically a type of tilling, however, it usually otes a more specifid of 'tilling'.
Plowing is the much more intense version of tilling, where instead of scraping the topsoil for a casual sift through, plowing is the forceful overturning and mashing of the soil to reveal the soil underh the topsoil.
This will uh the worm ies lurkih the soil and it will also crush any trash, small pnts, and weed roots along the way.
This brings fresh nutrients to the surface while burying the remains of previous crops, allowing them to break down.
This is usually done by installing a plow behind w animals like horses, water buffalos, cattle, etc., at least it is so when one doesn't have modern means at his or her disposal.
In modern times, both tilling and plowing be doh farm implements such as a disk harrow.
Both 'tilling' and 'plowing' are good for the soil and they're both o cultivate a farm properly.
Tilling prepares the soil so that the pnts will germinate and grow effitly in an even ground but with tilling, one also has to watch out on how often one does it as there is something called overtilling which is where oills their ground more than necessary that it bees too stiff and would also lose its ability to hold moisture.
This is bad news especially if the field is in a pce where drought is a serious issue.
Oher hand, tilling a flooded muddy soil will clog it and it would also dry out faster than how one should want it.
Meanwhile, Plowing refreshes the pnting field by overturning a brand new yer of soil, however, usually a farmer wants to wait until the soil that he or she has previously buried through plowing has had the time to break down and develop.
Plowing every month is unnecessary and ter-productive and it is sidered better to do it once or twice a year and not more.
After a quick check of the soil of this field, I e to the clusion that plowing is the best option as just like the other three fields before, this ooo was ed for far too long and needs a good refresh.
Realizing that I don't waste any time, I quickly pick up the hoe and use it to plow the soil one swing at a time while being careful not to use too much force.
In fact, limiting my strength is the main reason why I'm using the hoe in the first pce as I could easily plow the soil using my legs, but I could still make a mistake with that and cause too much damage to the field, instead by using the hoe I have to be much more careful as the tool is a hell lot more fragile than my body and by using too much strength I easily break it into a million of pieces.
Like, I swiftly start to plow the soil of the field making sure to overturn a brand new yer of soil perfect for the growth of the seeds.
Thanks to my firained trol and pletely inhuman physical strength in a few minutes I have already done more than half of the pnting field, but then I have to stop as my senses pick up the presence of someone quickly running toward my current location, and since I have also heard the strained sound of the engine of Carol's Cherokee as it was being pushed to its limits, I'm pretty sure that Shane and the others have returned from their supply run and very likely something happened.
Realizing that I walk toward the rest of the tools lying on the ground outside of the field and put down the hoe while thinking with a wry smile on my face, 'Of course, something happened... This is the Walking Dead Universe and some kind of i or event always happens whenever Rick's group has a small period of peace. It is like the will of this universe won't be satisfied unless it makes all the humans living in it suffer as much as possible. I mean in the few days since I have arrived in this world, the number of "is" or events that happened or that I had to defuse is absolutely staggering. It is to the point that I almost suspect that Death from the Final Destination Universe came to the Walking Dead Universe to mess around a little bit as it is too easy to win in its own universe.'
While I'm thinking that, a running Man quickly approaches me as he quickly yells, "Doc! Shane and the other have returned from the supply run but they had an enter with some hostile survivors and a bystander got shot. She is bleeding profusely and has lost sciousness! She needs help!"
Hearing that, I don't waste any time and immediately start to run toward the Cargo Truck parked near one of the barns si is very likely that whot involved has received serious injury and is already in a critical state.
I run at a much faster pace than a regur human as the injured womareatment as soon as possible and in almost no time, I leave the out-of-breath Man behind and reach the parked Cargo Truck, pick up a first aid kit and a field blood transfusion kit, and then, I move on to reach the family house without wasting another moment.
I quickly arrive in front of the family house where I see Lori and Sofya with a ed expression on their faces as they are standing outside with kids trying to keep them occupied and distract them from what is going on ihe house.
I casually greet them with a simple nod before I rush into the house where I find Shane, Dale, and Glenn all standing around a cou the living room while Andrea is kneeling in front of the couch with a bloody towel in her hands as she uses it to put pressure on the wounded area of the patient trying to stop the bleeding.
I quickly ast Shane, Dale, and Glenn, briefly greeting them before I reach the coud take a close look at the patient while instrug Ao keep putting pressure on the wound to stop the bleeding, to my immense surprise, I see that the patient is a very familiar face.
She is a beautiful young woman who is around her 20s with a fair skin plexion, and short wavy brown hair that perfectly frames her now pale face, she is her than Maggie Greene, Glenn's future wife and one of the main characters of the TV show.
Seeing her, I 't help but smile wryly while thinking, 'Oh e on! On the very first supply run done by Glenn in this area, he immediately meets his future wife! And not only that but the pair also had a dangerous enter with hostile survivors in their first meeting too!? Fate in this universe is really a bitch...'
Despite being surprised by her appearance, I don't stop and quickly move on to check Maggie's state.
First, I checked her pulse and immediately felt that it was getting weaker because of the bloodloss but it wasn't yet in a critical state yet, very likely she got shot around 20 minutes ago a in shock, but then she also immediately received minimal care from Shane and the others which kept her from bleeding out.
After that, I swiftly move on taking Andrea's p holding the bloodied towel to start to examihe gunshot wound located very close to her left shoulder, in her colrbone area.
I carefully remove the towel and immediately notice the gunshot wound is on the smaller side indig that the bullet was a small caliber one, very likely one shot by a gun sidering the fact that there is arance hole but not a one which also means that the bullet itself is still stuside Maggie's body.
The good news is that from the position of the hole, it is very clear that no important or vital an was damaged by the gunshot, and even the nearby bones are fine, but the bad news is that very likely the bullet damaged either her left sub vein or the artery both of which run just uhe colrbone, maybe even both if Maggie is especially unlucky.
This is especially bad because at the moment the bullet stuck between the muscles is also saving her life in a way as it is also somewhat blog her bleeding and as soon as I remove the bullet, a race against time will start as she will quickly start to bleed out.
As soon as I finish my examination I almost let out a sigh while thinking, 'She is lucky that they brought her to me as I'm pretty sure that her father Hershel wouldn't be able to save her. He may be a peteerinarian, but he is also an old man and a former alcoholic, there is no way that his hands would be firm and precise enough to do such a delicate operation fast enough to stop Maggie from bleeding out. Moreover, I also give her a small transfusion of my own blood to not only save her life in case of ued plication but also to speed up her recovery by a LOT.'
Shortly after that, I don't waste any more time and quickly take trol of the situation and start to order the others to grab me the things I need and help prepare the pce to operate her as safely as possible, after all, I 't operate her on a couch, at least not when there is a better option avaible.
At the same time, I also started to prepare a up the field blood transfusion kit that I took from the C.D.C.'s ste and brought with me.
Of course, I will not use everything withi because I will use the much simpler direct blood transfusion procedure to transfer my blood to Maggie, so I just have to sterilize everything I will use, set an IV line for both her and me, a everything for starting the transfusion as soon as I have disied the wound, took out the bullet, fixed up the damaged arteries and veins, and sutured everything pleting the whole operation.
Once everything is ready, I sterilize all the surgical instruments before I fully focus all my senses on Maggie to stantly monitor her status and start the operation to save Maggie's life.
Jayr POV - Earth, Geia, Mert ty, Lone Oak Farm - 2010
I'm calmly watg the field full of thriving ahy pnts with a tent smile on my face while thinking about the st few weeks and mutter, "A few weeks passed sihat fateful day when I successfully operated on Maggie and saved her life and sihen things have been strangely peaceful at least as far as The Walking Dead Universe's standards of peaceful."
Regarding what happened after the operation, well a few hours ter Maggie regained her senses but was still a bit in shock about what she had just experienced, but with Glenn's presend the help of the other women of the group, we were able to reassure her of her safety and calm her down.
Then after that, Maggie remembered about her family and that sidering how long she was away from her home for a simple supply run, they must have been worried and likely thought of the worst.
Because of that, she wao rush back to her home, but of course, she still wasn't in any state to move yet despite the fact that the operation was successful and that she had my blood transfused into her cardiovascur system so we had to stop her and again reassure and calm her down.
The reason for that is that I had fotten that in this universe my blood has lost its supernatural healing factor, sure, it is still naturally able to reinforce the body, enhahe natural healing factor, a rid of diseases in some way, but not to the levels I'm used to.
Because of that, Maggie still has to rest and recover for a few more hours before she actually move, and even with that, she has to be careful with her movement.
Luckily, the fact that my blood type, despite the fact that I am not teically human anymore, is still sidered a universal donor eveer than Type O blood thanks to its evolution into Gold Blood to the point that it is actually a cross-species universal donor was still true, so I didn't have to worry about reje or other problems like that.
I mean, I would be a very lousy God of Healing if my own blood is capable of actually harming or even killing my patients instead of saving and healing them even in its current heavily sealed state, it would be like going against my own very nature.
Anyway, after calming her down for the sed time, I decided to leave Glenn to look after Maggie aurn to work on the fields for the rest of the m, and then after lunch, I spent time with the kids training their bodies and teag them how to use the Bo Staff to defend themselves, something requested by Duane and Carl as they wao be able to fight the walkers too.
Then iernoon, Maggie recovered enough to move and this time, I allowed her but only on the dition that Glenn would apany her not only to watch over her but also to get in tact with her family so that our two groups could help each other in case something happens.
Of course, those were the things I told her and the others to expin the reason behind my decision while the real reason is of course to be Glenn's wingman and help him get together with his future wife by giving him more ces to be aloh her.
In the end, everythi well, Glenn safely brought Maggie back to her home at the Greene Farm and successfully made tact with Hershel and the rest of the people living on the Greene Farm's grounds who were quite grateful that we saved Maggie aurned her back to them, even more so because Maggie herself vouched for us as itle time she spent with us she got to know roup better.
Thanks to that, the Greene Farm and the Lone Oak Farm established peaceful cooperation where we kept in tact by using the radio and helped each other with smaller ger problems.
On their part, Hershel and the people of his farm helped us by teag us how to take care of the fields and the corps better as no one in roup had any actual experieh farming teiques, and even I only had some basiowledge and very shallow experience as until now everything I had grown in my Soulbouory was with the use of my Spiral o to facilitate everything and a LOT of help from the Nymphs who basically take care of everything with little to no effort thanks to them being Spirit of Nature.
They also helped us find a few wild cattle animals like cows, goats, and horses and bring them back to our farm.
Meanwhile, on our part we helped them by to search for some of the more difficult-to-find supplies for them, helping out with more teical jobs like fixing the electric system, water systems, and so on.
But also by our prote and help in case their farm es utack by both a walker horde and possible raids from groups of people like the ohat Maggie and Shane's group entered before, but also to offer them refuge in case something happens that forces them to leave the Farm.
Regarding their misuanding of the walkers' dition, I may or may not maniputed the events a little bit to let them face the reality of the situation in a mostly safe way, which still brought them some shod distress for a little bit, but with the help of Maggie, who already realized the truth, and us they were able to overe it.
Anood thing that happened in this peaceful period was the steady progress that Dr. Jenner and I made iing the Virophage that will cure and eradicate the Wildfire Virus, aptly idal Wave Virus, not only as a direct opposite of the Wildfire Virus but also in direct honor of my first inal Teique and still one of my favorite ohe Tidal unch.
A teique that I created sometime after starting my training as Saint under Grandpa's tutege and that kept refining and improving until now with its many variations, not that Dr. Jenner knows about its existence, but he still liked the cept of the Tidal Wave Virus being the plete opposite of the Wildfire Virus, so the name was set.
Regarding the actual progress we have made, the Tidal Wave Virus is more than halfway done.
Of course, we could have dohat a lot faster sidering that I have already created the perfect version of it using my Digimon Ination in my home universe, and as such I have the plete blueprint of it in my head but creating the Virophage that will cure and eradicate the cause behind the outbreak that almost brought this world to an end is a little bit too much.
Because of that, I made sure that Dr. Jenner was the one doing most of the work while I offered him guidaeering him in my envisioned dire, but even then, Dr. Jenner would have pleted it in a single week, so I made sure that he triple check every siep and he also has to report the result of everything to me before tinuing.
But another reason why I'm doing this isn't only to slow down the process of the Virophage, but also to make sure that there is no "human" error in the final result, after all, the Virophage we are creating is desigo be astonishingly iious to the point that in the right ditions, it will spread all over the globe in a single day and a single deviation from my "divine" blueprint may have some very catastrophisequehat may make the 41st Millennium look like a very nice pce to live.
Luckily to some levels, Dr. Jenner also knows about these dangers so he is more than willing to be overly cautious especially since we are still able to make daily progress.
"Doc! Bad news! There is a problem at Hershel's farm! They requested our help!"
Suddenly, Rick's voiaps me out of my reminisces and while rolling my eyes about the fact that the universe once again wants to fuck up with these people, I quickly ask him what is happening while hurrying toward the Cargo Truck, the vehicle we chose to use in case of emergency.
On our way there, Rick tells me that from what he uands the Greene Farm is currently uhe attack of some raiders, they barricaded themselves into their house, but they are outnumbered and outgunned and don't know for how long they st.
Soon we arrive in front of the Cargo Truck which is already ready to depart with Sha-Dog, Daryl, Andrea, and Glenn waiting for us armed and ready to fight.
Without wasting any time, Rid I jump on the cargo bed and Daryl taps on the rear panel making T-Dog start the engine and drive out of the farm's gate quickly rushing toward our destination, the Greene Farm.
Luckily the Greene Farm isn't too far away from our Lone Oak Farm and with the Cargo Truck rushing at its top speed we arrive at our destination in around 15 minutes, but as soon as we arrive there, we realize that the battle is already over as there are dozen of men lying on the ground and in the middle of all those bodies, there is only one man standing and to my immense surprise it is an incredibly familiar face.
He is a tall and incredibly muscur young man with spiky bck hair and dark eyes, wearing a very iic e Gi with a blue shirt u and dark blue boots with yellowish stripes, no matter how I look at him, he is clearly the spitting image of Future Freaking Gohan.
But what catches my attention the most is the striking, strange furry belt wound around his waist, which is clearly a disguised Saiyan's tail.
With all these details, the identity of that young man couldn't be clearer, he is my oppo in this Random Battle, the other Champion who arrived in this universe, the Legendary Super Saiyan-Human Hybrid, the Champion of Void.
