Grey (poem duel)

  dark thoughts are natural within

  Human nature's shell is thin

We focus on dark and forget light

But nothing is just, black and white

Dreams are the consciousness of the soul

Telling stories we feel yet are never told

From young to the oldest old

We all are humans, scared or bold

There are no absolutes in the world

Day is but a concept which we unfurled

Even the black of our life

Is but another grey in strife

The lsst time i went outside

The sun was hot and i wanted to hide

The lingering touch on my skin

  Strange, alien, my clothing thin

I wish i remember when my life...

Was bright and colorful and without bite...

But lingering my burns still stay

Even the light has bit me to this day

Light is not justice nor is dark good

All things are mixed as it should

  Even the stars far away...

Are not forever so we say

  Sleep lets us rest

Our minds are like the rest

  Not anything special to test

  And so we jest

Stories of being oh so cool

Or being rude and quite cruel

  Anything to differentiate the rule

That we are not the same as the fools

  We think we're special

  We are not

Our dreams are all the same

  But we forgot...
