*Annabell's POV
"Huh, I guess I fell asleep eventually." No kidding. When I thought I'd go crazy, you finally dozed off! Michae ughed at me."Yea, yea..." What's the time anyway? I reached for my phone. *"Twelve. Thirty. P.M."*"ell, who knows when I actually fell asleep." Thankfully I didn't have to call the school today as Mrs. Anderson will have excused me. She herself reended me to stay home.
Today's csses will be over soon. I wonder if Jasper es t me materials again. Probably not. Doubt it. Frustrated I punched a tree trunk in front of me.
Somewhere from behind me came a gasp. "Oh. My. God."
I know this voice. Is it really... "Peter?"
"Sup, A-girl?" It is him! "Peter!" I ran to hug him iings, like I used to as a kid.
It was like running into a robsp;Ouch. I totally fot about that. "Ugh, you're harder than I remember." I teased him giggling.
"And you are heavier than I remember." He ughed, pig me up and spinning around.
"Hey, I'm not heavy. I just grew up! Besides, I still must weigh as much as a feather to you." I pined ughing too. "You know Pete, you have the best timing in the world. I am just in need of a pung bag."
"Oh, really? If my memory serves me right, it was you who could be called a pung bag for all the beating you got. You've never beat me. A tiny pung bag I must add." he provoked.
Still ughing I spun around and tried to surprise him with a high-kick. It never worked before, but I had to give it a go. Like he said, I used to be tiny but like every siime I ever attempted this, he smoothly dodged and gave my leg a push from below f me to jump up and do a backflip so I wouldn't end up on my back, defeated, as back then.
Everythi perfectly. I unrolled smiling, preparing for a ter-attack the moment I nd. However... The sed I nded a surprised scream out of pain escaped me. "Ow!" Stupid ankle! It took me by surprise because in the joy of my old friend being suddenly here, I pletely fot all about my hurting ankle. Mostly because it didn't bother me anymore while normally walking. I fell on my right knee gritting my teeth, huffing in paier was immediately by my side. "I'm sorry Annie, I thought I didn't use that much strength. It's been a long time since I got to pair with a 'human'." He started to apologize, thinking that he's the one who hurt me. I wao tell him that it is not his fault but I wasn't giveime to do so.A strong gust of wind brought the ever so familiar preseny 'guardian angel' as I like to think of him, takier who didn't get to say more than "Wait-" from beside me. His supportive hand disappearing from my shoulder.I sehe shog fury radiating off of him, obviously aimed at Peter. I instinctively khat, this furious, he won't listen to anythier has to say and they will iably fight. My body acted on its own. Still down on one knee I reached my hand out towards them and desperately screamed: "Major, don't!" In hope, if not to Peter, he will listen to me.What happened shocked everybody involved. The moment those words left my mouth something impossible occurred. The most shog part for me, is that I could see it. From my outstretched hand shot a string of light, sort of a whip if I was to describe it closer. It shot out, towards two faint silhouettes also formed out of light and this whip ed around neck of the one holding the other by their throat. The figure fell to the ground on their knees as if paralyzed and quietly gasping. I wasn't sure if in surprise or for a breath.I felt the strength leaving my body. Fast. And it was dark again.
"It was the uy. That... monster. He hurt me, not Peter. Peter is friend. Please... don't... hurt... each other...." At the end I was barely whispering, uo stop my body from falling. I never hit the ground though. Little shaky, yet very strong pair of hands caught me just before I went unscious.
