“Do you even have a vehicle?” The leader of the men in black caught up to Gloria, turning back to look at the hospital: “Or a place to hide? Do you even have one?”
“We have places to hide. We just need to work on the vehicle.” Gloria shook her head: “Where are they? Are they coming after us?”
The leader of the men in black looked back, just in time to catch the newly arrived men in black walking their way.
“They’re coming!” The leader raised his voice: “Go to our cars! Go to our cars!”
“Fuck.” Gloria took a look back, then handed Mick’s wheelchair to Kevin and Kelvin: “Keep an eye on him, we’ll take these people’s cars and go to the South-Eastern District.” She then turned to the leader of the men in black: “Can you fight?”
“I can. But not much fight left.” The leader shook his head, then signaled to two of his men: “We must be careful and act first.”
“Lead us to your cars.” Gloria nodded.
“Use the parked cars as shields, they have guns. You have taken theirs, right?” Keryn took a deep breath.
“Yes.” The leader responded.
“Cool, give us two.” Keryn demanded.
“What?”
“Give us two. None of you are in good condition right now. At least we are from the PCPD.” Keryn narrowed her eyes.
Two of the more physically inconvenienced men in black groaned and handed their guns to Keryn, who spared one gun to Kevin.

“Hey! Stop!” Just when they strolled past a dark green convertible, the group of men in black coming out of the hospital yelled at them.
“Go, go! Lead them to the car!” The leader of the men on Gloria’s side rushed his two men who just gave up their guns: “Go! Go without me!”
“Follow them. Make sure they don’t do anything stupid.” Keryn whispered to Kevin before pushing him forward and helped him move behind a car: “Hide! Hide!”
“What the fuck man?!” Keryn raised her voice at the men in black coming their way, and in a deliberately strange accent and fake drunk tone: “We’re trynna go home! Who the fuck do you think you are?! Ruining our bachelorette night!”
“Stand down! Kneel on the ground and put your hands above your heads!” The men in black pulled out their guns and pointed at Keryn’s general direction: “DO IT! NOW!”
“What the hell!?” Keryn threw her hands in the air: “Who the fuck do you think you are? I’m not afraid of you!?”
Before the men in black coming their way could say anything, Gloria launched her two handfuls of pens and small pellets at them. Two of the men in black on their side opened fire using the guns they took as well. Two of the incoming men were struck and fell. The rest immediately dodged to the side, finding shelter and firing back.
“Give up the suspect NOW!” The hostile men in black yelled.
No one on Gloria and Keryn’s side answered. The response to this demand was some more bullets and projectiles thrown their way.
With two men down and the element of surprise lost, the incoming group of five were not able to put up any effective counter attack. Keryn focused her aim and opened fire at the blue car behind which the leader of the men was hiding. Her shots busted the two hind wheels and a side mirror. The broken glass seemed to have done some damage to someone hiding behind the vehicle, but she had no energy or urge to confirm.
“Go! Go go go!” One of the men on Gloria and Keryn’s side barked: “We need to leave!”
Keryn fired a few more shots, emptying her magazine. She tucked her gun in her back and followed the other two men back on their side to their vehicle - a black SUV.
There were a total of five of them that stayed behind, with all of them squeezed into the seats. It was not too tight, but not too spacious either. The rest of the group already left in two cars, and their driver had to only follow the cars before them - which was still in sight.
“Where are they going?” The driver was a man in black who also expended all of his bullets just like Keryn, and had to keep his empty gun on the dash. “Where would you take him if you got him?”
“The South-Eastern District, we have a few places we can hide. And worst comes to worst, it’s a friendly territory where we can fight them.” Gloria coughed, wiped her mouth while looking back: “And - if we need to - disappear them if we need to. IF we need to.”
“Damn!” The man in black in the passenger seat looked at Gloria through the rearview mirror.
“Where were you gonna take him if you’ve got him?” Keryn asked: “Also - do you still have bullets? Hand them over. You’re all terrible shots.”
“Uh - somewhere in the South - South-Eastern District.” The driver squirmed and almost shrunk in his seat. The man sitting in the passenger seat handed his gun to Keryn - there were only three bullets in the magazine.
“Motherfu - ” Gloria almost swung at the driver: “WHERE!?”
“A corner in the ‘Amber New City’.” The man in the passenger seat answered.
The name was unfamiliar to Keryn, but not entirely so for Gloria. She thought for a moment, before finally realizing what it was - it was the high storey-count apartment complex under construction, the one where she and Marcus spent one night hiding.
