"You better, or I’ll e to hell and find you," Isabel warned, hugging her mother back.

Lilith broke the hug with a ugh, tapped Isabel on the cheek, and disappeared in a puff of bck smoke.

"Okay then," Isabel said. "Now that the annoying woman is gone, someoell me what exactly happened?"

Rosalie raised an eyebrow. "Annoying, she’s your mother?"

Esme cleared her throat. "I wao thank you for letting us stay here until we sort things out."

"Who said you were staying here?" Isabel retorted with a smirk.

Rosalie rolled her eyes and lightly pushed Isabel. "Don’t listen to her, Esme. She’s a sweetheart once you get to know her." She leaned over and kissed Isabel on the cheek.

"Isabel, this is Esme, as you’ve heard. That’s Alice, and that’s Emmett. Everyohis is Isabel, my mate."

A chorus of polite greetings followed. Isabel nodded aured. "There are four rooms and two bathrooms downstairs. You’re wele to them."

"Thank you," Esme said as she, Alice, at gathered their luggage and headed to find their rooms.

Ohey were gone, Isabel took Rosalie’s hand and led her upstairs to her room. The space was a grand suite with an attached bathroom. A rge king-sized bed stood in the ter, covered in bck sheets with matg curtains and dark furniture.

"This is where the magic happens," Isabel teased, making a mock bow toward the bed.

Rosalie raised a brow as she moved closer to Isabel. "Oh? And what type of magic happens here?"

Isabel swallowed, caught off guard by how close Rosalie’s face was to hers—mere inches apart. She cleared her throat, quickly grabbing Rosalie’s bags aing them in front of a rge wall closet. "You put your things here," she said, trying tain posure.

Rosalie smiled and stepped closer, tugging lightly on Isabel’s shirt. "I want to see your true form," she said softly, gazing into Isabel’s eyes.

Without hesitation, Isabel transformed into her demon form. Her horns curled elegantly, and her wings spread out, casting a dark shadow over the room. "You love my true form?" she asked, her voice tinged with vulnerability.

"Of course I do," Rosalie answered, trag a hand along one of Isabel’s horns.

Relieved, Isabel smiled and leaned down, kissing Rosalie softly at first, then deeply. Her wings unfurled wider as the kiss grew more intense, a sign of her overwhelmiions. Isabel wanted Rosalie to feel the depth of her love, even though they had only just met. When Isabel desired something, there was no limit to what she would do—she would move heaven ah to make it hers.

Rosalie’s moans grew louder, a symphony of passion that filled the room. Her hands slid behind Isabel’s head, tangling in her hair as she pulled her closer. Every touch, every kiss ignited a fire between them. Rosalie couldn’t believe her fortune. For so long, she had doubted she would ever firue mate. Yet here she stood, embrag a powerful demon, p her heart into the kiss. Isabel wasn’t just her mate—she was her forever. Rosalie silently vowed to do anything to protect their bond.

She kissed Rosalie as though the world around them ceased to exist as if there were no tomorrow. Her wings quivered and stretched out, framing them like a protective co, a silent promise of devotion and fieress.

Just as the moment intensified, the door suddenly smmed open, crashing against the wall. Isabel instinctively dragged Rosalie behind her, shielding her with her massive wings. A furious roar escaped her lips as she flung the intruder against the wall with enough force to send debris flying.

It was Alice. She screamed as her body smmed into the wall, fear etched into her features.

"Damn it, Alice!" Rosalie excimed, her voice dripping with irritation. "What the hell are you doing? Don’t you know how to knock?"

Alice could only stare, paralyzed by fear, as she faced Isabel’s terrifying flowing eyes, two curved horns, a menag tail, bared fangs, and outstretched wings made her look like a creature from a nightmare. Alice thanked God that she is a vampire and that vampires don't sleep, she khat this creature would haunt her dreams.

Rosalie pced a calming hand on Isabel’s back, running her fingers along her spine. "It’s okay," she murmured soothingly.

Isabel let out a heavy breath, retrag her wings. She stepped back, straightened, and dropped Alito the ground with a thud, the floor crag beh her. Her eyes still glowed as she sidered her options, fury simmering just below the surface. Should she kill Rosalie's friend or just hurt her just a little bit? Isabel growled she wao hurt her a lot.

Rosalie stepped in front of Isabel, crossing her arms and gring at Alice. She knew her mate wao hurt Alice. "What are you doing here?" she demanded, her voice sharp and unfiving.

Alice stammered, uo answer, as she gnervously between Rosalie and the still-enraged Isabel.
