Silent light

The hours transcurred. Eleanor’s entire body was fighting the soreness; her pupils were heavy, the only sound in that dark room was the echo of the droplets bouncing on the walls. She leaned against the cold and mossy wall shivering. The cold sinking into her bones attacking her from the inside, she sighed and finally surrendered to her fatigue.Getting driven by the memories of the day before.Trying to remember how she ended here who could have betrayed her, was it Cynthia? Or Loyd? could it baron Mitnnakesh?

The thoughts swirling in her mind, Eleanore couldn't help but get even more lost, until a soft knock on the door brought her back to reality."why are you knocking if you are holding me captive anyway?" Eleanore wasn't sure if she should be pleased by the visit or annoyed. She stared at the door expectant. Someone entered, holding a trail of food. It wasn't him.Eleanore decided to engage the conversation the truth being she felt reconforted by the human presence. "Tell me who i have the honor to speak with" her gaze landed on a small figure with black hair and eyes a child;who didn't seem to be older then 7 years old. The little one braced himself and answer with enregy."I am Athóos my lady, and you do you have a name?". Eleanor chuckled "Eleanor Carpendia" she answered gathering the rest of her strenght to lift her head high "Carpendia? my lady, you have two names?" Eleanor answered "It's my last name" Athóos reflected for a moment then had "So you are a noble?" Eleanor noded not really having the strength to keep up the small talk.

Athóos put down in front of her and said: "Well, nobles eat too. right?" Eleanore stared at the food a mere peace of bread hard as a rock and a meager soup. Athóos looking how she just stared at the food answered "oh sorry, your hands are tied let me help you".Eleanore leaned her head slightly as Athóos fed her. The food didn't hold much flavour Eleanore forced herself to swallow the warmth of the soup slightly relieving her from the cold.Athóos soon left leaving the door slightly open, "So you don't stay in the dark" he said. Eleanore leaned back on the wall, the room seemed to have gotten even colder her eys closed as she drifted away.

"My lady, why do you seem so helpless" The voice of Prooditore woke her up. She opened her eyes "Should i make a reverence to you my lord?"she declared, Proditore bursted in laughter. "How is it that i was not aware you had a sense of humor duchess" he said wiping a tear."You didn't looked interested by that side of me". "Are you even aware of the reason behind your abduction?" he asked his eyes expectant. "I have a vague idea, you must be the leader of the rebellious group who started the attacks against fort Teíchos. I suppose it has to do with the objective of your organization wich is for the east Stemma kingdom to secede right?". "You are well informed my lady but as you know secession will only lead to war and that's not our objective"he replied. "Then what is your goal?" Eleanore asked confused. "We want representation and that's where you come in", Eleanore frowned and tried to lean forward as the shards of glass on the floor pierced her skin "are you asking me to betray my country?"she uttered as her blood tainted the floor.
