Chapter 3: "The Fury of the Wind: The Challenge and the Fall"

  Second day.

The corridors of Solaris University are a tangle of hasty steps, muffled conversations and stealthy looks. But Alexys walks like the only person there. The wind around him seems alive, between his hair, raising strands as if restless, reacting to his thoughts.

She is about to turn a corner when she bumps into something. Something solid.

The impact makes her take a step back, feeling the air condensed into her chest before she was short. His eyes rise until they find a wall of muscles and arrogance.

  March.

The Bad Boy of the University. The type of face that lives to intimidate others, who exudes that toxic confidence of those who never needed more than their own strength to care. He looks from above, a crooked smile forms on his lips.

Marcus (mocking): - "Hey, young lady, be careful where he walks. This is not a fashion show, it's Solaris University."

Alexys blinks slowly, absorbing the insult as one who listens to the bark of a small dog. His gaze slides the wide trunk of Marcus, analyzing the fair cut of the shirt that makes a point of highlighting each muscle.

Alexys (lifting an eyebrow, smiling sideways): "Apparently you have gone to the same parades. What a beautiful pair of shoulder pads you have there, it seems to have been stolen from some 80's fantasy."

Marcus closely eyes. He is used to seeing people look away, stutter, hesitate. But she? She laughs at his face.

Marcus (crossing his arms, the smile disappearing a little): - "Look, the novoto has a sharp mouth. Too bad it won't last long here."

Alexys (releasing a dramatic sigh): "Oh, is it? And what are you going to do? Breaking me with these gym muscles or will try to intimidate your bad boy?"

A murmur forms. Students decrease the rhythm, capturing the smell of conflict in the air. Some already whisper mental bets on how much time Alexys took to regret.

Marcus step forward, and the proximity between the tiny two in a suffocating way. His voice gets lower, heavier, that veiled threat tone that only brutes know how to do.

Marcus (Dark Tom): "You don't know who's moving. Girls like you think they can get away with a sharp tongue, but here, what's boss is power. And mine ..."

He raises a hand, opening and closing his fingers slowly. A red aura begins to shine around his fist, crackling in the air like electric sparks.

Marcus (smiling sideways): - "... you won't want to test."

ALEXYS Takes A Step Back, But Not Out of Fear. HIS GAZE DANCE BETWEEN MARCUS'S FACE AND THE INCANDESCENT Fist. The Wind Around Him Responds, Whirling in Subtle Spirals, Pressing His Clothes Against His Body, Whistling in the Ears of Those Around.

  The Challenge is Launched.

Alexys (Slow, Provative Smile): - "From You Know What is Funny? Expensive as you Always Think They Can Intimidate Me."

She raises One Hand, and the Wind Obeys, Forming Invisible Swirls That Condens Themselves in the Palm of Her Fingers.

Alexys (Sharp Look): "But what you don't know is that I love a good challenge. Want to show you power? EGO.

Marcus Releases to Short, Serious Laugh. But your Eyes Shine with excitement. He is not the Type who refuses to Challenge.

His fist shines strong, crackling like a living Torch.

Marcus (Low Voice, Loaded with Threat and Fun): - "As You Like, Novice. I Hope You Enjoy Losing."

The Air Vibrates with Electricity. The Corridor of Solaris University Becomes A Makeshift Arena, Where Students Pile Up, Eager for Spectacle. Grow murms, bets are whispered, cell Phones are erected to capture every second.

Ethan, Leaning Against the Wall, Watches The Scene With A Light Smile, Hist Arms Crossed. His Eyes Shine in Expectation. He has read alexys's aura and know that they break his carefree stance, there is a hurricane inside her.

Marcus Advances, His Fists Shining Like Breadred Embers, Cracks on the Floor Marking the Weight of His Presence.

Marcus (Cruel Smile, Preparing the Blow):

  - "Time to Teach You A Lesson!"

He's punch. The Air is Detorted Around its Wrist, The Absurd Speed Creating to Sanonic Explosion.

But Alexys is in the longing there.

Her Body Slides Sideways at the Last Moment, The Wind Boosting Her Movement As if She Were A Feather in the Midst of a Hurricane. The Punch Reaches The Concrete Wall with a Devastating Impact, Cracks Spreading Like Spider Webs.

  The Crowd Murms.

Alexys Lands Softly, Spinning in Heels with a Discharge.

  Alexys (Arism an Eyebrow, Proviative):

  - "This is the best you can?

The Laughter of the Audience hits marcus as an invisible punch. Your Pride Throb, Your Jaw Crashes. His Rubra Aura Grows, His Eyes Shining in A Fiery Tone of Fury.

Marcus (Growl, Voice Loaded with Contained Anger):

  - "You'll Regret Provaking Me!"

He Invests with a flood of blogs. Each Punch Makes The Air Vibrate, The Combined Speed and Force Turning ITS Attacks Into Red Smudges.

But Alexys Dances Between The Blogs.

The Wind Around Her Sems to Laugh With Her, Guiding Her Body in Fluid and Graceful Movements. With a light Heel, She Drives Herself up, Spinning in the Air Before Landing Gently Behind Him.

Marcus Turns Furious, Throwing to Kick.

  Alexys Smiles.

  The dry crack echoes.

Even before the blow reached its destination, the wind responds to Alexys's subtle command and pushes Marcus hard enough to make him lose his balance for a second.

  The crowd explodes in laughs.

  Alexys (laughing, provoking):

  - "Seriously, man, this is getting pathetic. Do you get a blow? Or are you just muscles and no brain?"

Marcus feels the warmth of the humiliation boil under his skin. His eyes shine, his aura expands violently.

And then he stops holding on.

The surrounding energy explodes, a pulsating red wave through the hallway. The room temperature rises, concrete shakes under the increasing pressure of its power.

Marcus (roaring, raising the flaming fists):

  -"He arrives!"

He concentrates his strength and fires an explosion of energy directly against Alexys.

The air is distorted. The corridor is filled with a scarlet glow with oblivion.

  But Alexys remains motionless.

With a simple hand, the wind responds. An invisible shield rises before him, dispelling the attack like a light breeze erasing the flame of a candle.

The impact disappears. The silence reigns.

  Marcus's eyes widen in shock.

Alexys smiles, slightly tilting his head.

Alexys (lazy smile): "Looks like you haven't learned anything about storms, big ... The more you try to fight the wind, the more it knocks you down."

Her wrist closes, and the wind pushes her forward with overwhelming force. His punch reaches Marcus's chest as lightning, and the gust of air that accompanies the blow throws him back like a cloth doll.

Marcus brutally collides against the wall. The concrete structure gives in with the impact, cracking around his body as the dust rises.

He tries to get up, roaring with frustration. But Alexys is already a step ahead.

  She raises her arms.

The wind responds to the call.

A monstrous air stream breaks out through the hallway, forming a whirlwind around Marcus. Books, papers and even small concrete cracks are sucked by the storm's relentless force.

Marcus resists. Or at least try.

His body raises a few inches from the ground, his arms debate in despair as the wind pressure completely dominates him.

And then, with a deafening snap, the storm ceases.

Marcus's body is thrown to the floor with a dry impact.

The silence in the corridor is absolute.

Alexys walks slowly to him, bending down to whisper in his ear.

Alexys (low and victorious voice): "Lesson number one: Never underestimate the wind."

She gets up and straightens her hair without haste. The wind around him calms, as if he had never existed.

The crowd explodes on screams and whistles.

Ethan, leaning against the wall, smiles with his corner. His eyes analyze Alexys with even more interest.

This girl ... She was not just strong.

  She was a hurricane.
