As an instructor, you hear of many horror stories throughout your career, but the worst of the worst are stories involving nobles and s rank paladins in training.
Nobles are a problem because their self-entitled brats. Anyone who's ever instructed nobles in military training can tell you with confidence have them do anything that's considered hard labor and they'll whine to their parents about it making your job extra difficult. It's like the only reason why nobles are put inside military training is to generate more paperwork than necessary. The amount of paperwork you have to do should almost be classified as a hate crime considering how numerous it is and that's not even including the apology letters that you're forced to write even though you did nothing wrong.
But of course s rank paladin training is somehow much worse to put it into a context. The paladin training facility for normania was never originally located in the capital. Frankly speaking, it was moved from seven different locations. Each one for a reason that would have almost been could classified a natural disaster or just a natural threat. The first location used to be on the border of impuria which was beneficial because of public relations. It helped both sides have a shared investment in the facility for training their paladins but then the place got raided by the apostles when asked why they did it. The imperium representative had this to say.
Impurium representative: we apostles appreciate our longest standing relationship between imperia and normania but the issue is as apostles we can't accept the taunting nature of having s-raying paladins even in training existing on our border, especially on the neighboring side. It's just a blatant threat.
Upon hearing this, no mania had to move the training facility to the next basketball location, which just so happened to be the desert. Unfortunately, somehow that facility too went up in smokes only this time it was taken over by combat primates which made no sense. What were of monkeys doing in the middle of the desert? How's phantoms the whole demons but they're jungle warriors? Why would they be in the middle of the desert? This question has been posed many times but no one can explain it. All they could put was that the x-ray paladin present at the facility somehow exuded a battle Aura that they felt for miles and needed to challenge. Anyways, the facility had been taken over by the monkeys and was no longer inhabitable by humans so the facility had to be moved yet again. This time into the middle of the mountains which was inconvenient all around until eventually it got flooded, supposedly an answer and wanted to test how strong its affinity was but could not turn it off after they got started. How unfortunate ironically, the next location that was chosen was on a lake which caught fire so then we had to move it again. Funny enough a noble of high esteem. Cut wind of the predicament and offered piece of land they weren't using to build the facility. Their plan was probably to cash in favors for our allowing list. Unfortunately, they never got the chance day three of the facility being open. The entire building was disintegrated and invaded by mole people. Supposedly there was a rumor about there being mobile people but no one outside saw mold. People are the bodies and mole people. The claim was decided to set an example and disintegrated the entire facility but no more people were seen so it could never be confirmed. The last facility wasn't that interesting. Apparently there was some cooking that went wrong and it caused the contamination so the location has to be vacated until it's safe to enter. So for the time being, but temporary 7th location in the capital is where things are at for now.
Of course! The reason for the current instructor for Evelyn and Lisa belly aging is due to this problem. Both of them are s ranks which means there's two of them, which means the problems that could be caused have increased by greater magnitude. Not to mention Evelyn is a noble a well-known Noble at that. If anything happens to her, her father could bring down far worse than lightning on to the institution if he wants to and the kingdom would have nothing to say about it and another Noble is Mugen even though he's an armory which gives him less rights than most. The fact that he is the wayward son of a well-known Noble of normania as well as the child of an underworld or dignitary. If anything goes wrong the amount of paperwork would be a death wish which is why the instructor's been walking on eggshells. He is not aware that Lisa is actually next in line to be the sage of the sea of trees
In order to sort of alleviate the pressure of the existing nobles in the area he decided to send some apologetic letters as well as greetings to sway them into being a bit more relaxed in their judgment should something happen. The letters he got back in return were concerning disabilities well the letter was sent to the Duke regarding his daughter. He sent back another letter stating do not insult my kindness. Should anything happen, do pray your letter of recommendation supersedes the authority of a Duke, but I'm not a clingy father. Scripts and injuries are fine. Death is another story.
Read this. The instructor felt a bit relieved about Evelyn, but at the same time felt the minor migraine had being on the lookout for possible death flags and the letter from Baron was interesting to say anything for starters. The one who replied wasn't the baron but the baroness which when thinking about the rumors circling that family, it makes sense. The baron was more interested in chasing around armory women than anything else and the bear it is has taken reigns of the family, which is why it's doing so well as of recent The letter simply read. I hold no ill will towards you and your people. My young boy needs room to grow and more opportunities to overcome adversity so long as death is not in the cards. I see no reason to hold you accountable for any foolish mistakes. He makes so long as they're his mistakes.
The letter is from the parents were for the most part reasonable but still threatening which the instructor felt was within the realm of reason. They are no bulls. If they don't threaten people, what can they do with the authority? Which leads him to today's baffling set of circumstances? Painting a new picture. Where do you seize? Is Lisa sitting on her knees with Evelyn pouring a watering can onto her head looking around he couldn't see either of the armories. Evelyn did have her daily wolf with her. This one seeming to be missing one eye as an instructor. It is frustrating that the paladins don't have that much control over their armories the lifeline of them on the battlefield.
His opinion of the two armories at first observation both of them seemed to be rather flippant. They give him minimal respect when in his presence, don't give him enough respect to willingly show up to training sessions or anything that doesn't seem to actually involve them being used while it's reasonable in its own right that they being weapons have no reason to train with their counterpart to actually do the physical labor. It is also inconsiderate of them to leave their counterparts who basically hold them their lives in their hands and battle.
Starting with shell when asked what type of weapon he becomes, he simply stated a blunt. One more details were insisted upon but he refused to get it while sifting through old records to get more details in order to build a proper training plan for Evelyn records. Indicate that Shell's weapon body is identifiably a weapon of blunt proportion but is more used for a particular type of recreational or crafting based purpose who was also dearly noted that the weight of shell is very heavy and usually requires to hands new actual indication of what kind of weapon it is the moment he transforms into his weapon state. Almost all the mana of everyone present has been siphoned off, leaving them so light-headed they only have vague memories of what it is. The instructor and Evelyn about it given that a recent report did indicate that he did transform but her words were.

Evelyn: it's definitely a print weapon. There's a large mass to the end of it and you swing it around but other than that I can't really even call apparently according to Shell My Gemini is lacking. Once I have enough stamina to harness his power I can then wield him without side effects.
With this, the instructor felt nothing but frustration. He insisted that they team up and she willed him so that he can get a good idea of what he's working with. She'll, of course refuse saying that he has no reason to risk Evelyn's well-being for nothing but a trivial matter. Evelyn agreed stating that of our stamina is an up to par. She has no reason her way around something she can't even hold.
The best he could do was convince them that if he can get her stamina up shell will allow her to wield him for a short period of time.
But of course, while the instructor's main opinion of shell, is that have a stubborn jerk who belittles everyone? He's actually a more difficult individual. On the first day of observations, he had to have his people watch Shell while he ditch his training on the first day he and Mugen went to a gambling house. He immediately got bored of it and started sleeping around at different locations throughout the day. Despite his control of wolves, he acts more like a cat. On the second day, he developed an interest in it a particular perfection. He went around offering to walk people's pets, which at first appeared Noble, but as The observers continued observing him for the rest of the day, it was found that he was using the pets to have them urinate on the King statue. When I went through the effort of information about this, she simply said he has a complicated backstory that's very hush-hush. She has the vanilla folder if instructor wishes to know more, but it's advised that if word died out that he knew his life would be on the line considering it's a royal secrets, so refusing that you can only put in the record that there is grudge between the Royal family and the one noticed shell and it could very well lead to high treason down the road, but even with all of these very negative traits of his" it's clear that he shows some concern towards Evelyn at first Sid's could be seen as the minimum. Given that she's always only has one wolf with her at any given time, it can be noticed at the instructor skill level that more wolves are not too far away. They're given a great formation between shell and Evelyn, should he need to return to her that way he's always kept informed about what's going on around her. On the third day when discussing the boons inherited by their armories, Evelyn only explained that her first moon is the only one she's aware of is the ability to communicate with canines she is unaware of the other two abilities. Supposedly shell stated he'd tell her when she's ready but all parties hearing this just feel like he just couldn't be bothered to tell her. Upon confrontation shall revealed one more Boone that she's qualified for. Since her training has actually improved her physical abilities and supposedly improving this boon makes her more qualified to wield him. This power is the ability to forge life.
In Shell's words the explanation giving was with a proper or you can do one of two things thing. One you can forge a perfect weapon and if the weapon is strong enough to inherit his soul, it will become a wolf. The other option is you can use this power with a lump of metal to reincarnate a canine into a weapon for some reason. Whenever you do this though, they turn into wolves.
The instructor tried to have Evelyn learn this power in order to improve her abilities as well as to confirm the veracities of his claims. She couldn't get a single wolf to be born at one point it was starting to become a belief that shell just made one up in order to get everyone off his case, but when demanding him to display this power he had borrowed the forging facilities all of the institute not only did he manage to forge it into a wool, but he acted like it was no big deal. The Wolf itself was a rather black hub which turned into a dagger. Of course, since then he hasn't left the Cub leave his side when asked why he just said it's too young to know the world, whatever that means.
Moving on to m Mugen his observations were not that impressionable literally unlike shell who had before many recreational activities, including proving it's possible to sleep anywhere in the capital and actively sabotaging. The infrastructure of the king Mugen was a straightforward and simple guy everyday without fail. He went to the gambling den. Sometimes he'd come in with more money. Sometimes he'd be a little bit light on money. He'd always have enough to buy lunch or dinner for him and Lisa so the girl never would starving. But the thing is for all 4 days the man went to the casino like going to church. So much so you'd think he was a bishop or something. I tried asking Lisa about his gambling addiction much she stated and I quote.
Lisa: what's a gambling addiction?
No hearing this. The instructor instinctively knew that for any future questions he may have regarding Mugen and she was not the person to ask. The field reviews showed that the man is a blatant cheater. One of his boons just so happens to be a manipulation of karma or luck. Depending on who you want, he can't will increase or decrease a person's Fortune and many of our aura users who are watching him identified that he was using said powers to manipulate his opponents Fortune so that they would either win more games or lose some games enough so that even if the casino caught winged of his blatant cheating, he wasn't that out robbing them so they let it slide.
With such morally misguided armories, the instructor pulled himself together and asked a question that was burning on his mind as he observed Evelyn and Lisa as Evelyn Waters Lisa's hair.
Instructor: you two. What exactly am I looking at?
Lisa, looking at him as casually as possible. Slightly tilts her head. Not a lot because it would have messed up the watering process, but just enough to indicate her confusion
Lisa: shampooing my head is what most people call this. We foliages have to periodically water our greenage to prevent rotting. Also, it has to be salt water in order to prevent invasions from snails and slugs. I once had an uncle who took a nap for the ground and had a slug infestation. He got so bad he had to be put into the hospital for weeks while they treated his scalp. Scary!
The instructor not understanding the woes of a foliage looks to Evelyn for guidance. Evelyn, continuing to water. Lisa simply looked at him. Shrugged looked back and continued watering.
Instructor: why I like this though. We do have facilities for showering as well as shampooing. One's own hair are for cadets and lieutenants and the like. Why aren't you using those facilities?
Lisa: no can do while the water pressure is nice enough for the skin itself, it's too strong for plants. Plants are delicate, too much pressure and you destroy the plants and after you destroy the plants, you basically are damaging my health. I need a watering can or something more gently sprayed.
Understanding but not understanding what she was saying. He simply did not argue back and instead wrote down a note to upgrade facilities with foliage friendly amenities. Hopefully HR knows what that means. He thought he then got back of the attention of it too of them seemingly wrapped up their healthcare routine.
Instructor: all right. You too! It's the fifth day I'm going to need to have the two of you and your armories participate in patrol.
Evelyn is that normal or paladins not knights or guards? Why would we patrol sydious? Wouldn't the fact that someone who's supposed to be classified as problem solvers for trouble be seen as a calamity on the horizon. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if people seeing paladins patrolling would either a pack up and wish to the next town or lack themselves in their houses until the paladins stopped patrolling.
Instructor: I see where you're coming from, but the fact is sometimes paladins do patrol act on their off days. At least they casually keep an eye out while they do their day-to-day lives. It's important to instill these sorts of things into you during training, so that way if patrols ever needed you have the skills for it. So for the next 5 days that's what you for will be doing.
