Chapter Sixteen

“You’re telling me the entire dungeon raid is dead, and that they group with two Mythics, two Legendaries, and one Epic, are dead, among was a Void Nullmage and a Dimensional Rifter, both of which are considered some of the most deadly classes out there. What’s next the Dungeon broke and there a Raid-Boss barreling toward?” Jeremy was terrified of what would happen next, the Guildmaster of this branch was known for his mercurial temperament, everyone knew he had an Epic class and overall was a terrifying man.

He was jolted back to reality when the Guildmaster started speaking, ”Raise the threat level of the Crypt from Peak-Adamantine to Mid-Obdurium, and start increasing the fortification of the Dungeon Entrance. Also, send for a [Dungeon Scientist] we need to know when the Dungeon is going to break.” Jeremy was immediately ushered out of the room by the Guildmaster, “Get to work, Jeremy.”

Crypt was buffing some of his bosses with the skills he had gotten in the recent raid, he gave Starbreaker, the Twins, and Fenris, [Antimagic Blows], [Dimensional Strikes], [Void Strike], and [Giant Slayer], [Antimagic Blows] would negate the magic of anyone that they struck, [Dimensional Strikes] massively increase the damage they dealt and allowed them to teleport by ripping apart space, [Void Strike] allowed for one massive strike which would “Instantly destroy any matter that was touched by the Void, and [Giant Slayer] would allow give them a fifty percent bonus on any damage that they dealt.

Felbris and The Lost Ones, were given [Antimagic Aura], [Dimensional Rifts], [Void Bolt], and [Void Missiles]. [Antimagic Aura] canceled any hostile magic within ten feet of Felbris, [Dimensional Rifts] created dimensional rifts which allowed Felbris to rip apart enemies with rift and teleport, [Void Bolt], and [Void Missiles] were extremely destructive ranged attacks, thankfully the Skills weren’t locked behind the very annoying [Sealed Until Awakened Once More] skill that Felbris had.

The Lunar Triad, Orthalian, The Earthen Quintet, and Golzalam were all given the same skills that Starbreaker, Fenris, and the Twins had received. And they were given the skills [Titanic Growth], [Wind Walker], and [Divine Fury] skills, the first would increase the size and strength of a giant to the wielder, the second gave the user and others they designated the ability to fly, and the third would massively increase their damage when harmed. Arc and Goliath are all the skills that are needed, as well as the skill [Rapid Adaptation]. Arc needed those skills because he was by far the weakest Mini-Boss, and Crypt just wanted to make Goliath even stronger, he had no excuses for giving him these abilities.

Jonathan was fighting the Dungeon’s new and improved Twins of Chaos, why it had decided to give them [Antimagic Blows], [Dimensional Strikes], [Void Strike], and [Giant Slayer] was beyond Johnathan, they were already hard enough without them teleporting everywhere, Jonathan had been earlier by Pluto and had felt all of Mana spill out of his body, with all spells he tried to cast failing, he was dead weight, even the teleport crystal was out of commission after the damn bug had struck him. The guy in front of him had [Lesser Healing Factor] he had evolved it from [Greater Regeneration] after he had been sliced open by one of the twins. Jonathan watched as Hades used [Void Strike] on him.

The guy got turned to dust as purple energy ran rampant through his body. There were thirty in this delve, twenty-seven were dead, and two including Johnathan were useless since they had been struck by one of the Twins. Mana flowed into him. Jonathan grabbed the [White Mage] next to him and teleported out. He hoped the guy that had been running towards the entrance was fine. They vanished in a flash of white light, appearing a few seconds later in the cordoned-off teleport zone. Another wipe today.

Crypt was very happy with the buffs he had done to his bosses and the Twins were already far stronger than they had been before. With the Adventurers there was no chance of them entering the Dungeon, but just in case they tried. Crypt checked through the list of Wards that he had. Crypt immediately started placing a few down. First Anti-Teleportation Wards, he placed everywhere in the dungeon, however he decided to make so that he only place in his Halls would be the Dark Forest, then Crypt added Luring Wards to the Forest in the form of ten towers connected by glowing blood-red lines of mana that formed a pentagram between them which he reinforced with Durability Wards, they would have a strong luring effect that would lure humans and weak-willed monsters into the forest and would be very hard to destroy.

Next Crypt spawned in one hundred Spacial Laughing Skulls for more deadly monsters for the Forest, and two-hundred Willo-O-Wisps that led that would one of two ways leading someone into an Acid Pit or a Lava Pit, the Lava Pit were obscured by Tempurature, Darkness and Awareness Reduction Ward, the first two were self-explanatory. Still, the Mental Reduction Ward would subtly lower the targets awareness of their surroundings, Crypt decided to place them everywhere in the forest, he placed them around the towers so it would ever so slightly unlikely that someone would be able to destroy them. Then Crypt placed three hundred-fifty animated Skeletons around the Forest. Creepy and effective in the event that someone did try to teleport, they would certainly die. Actually, Crypt felt someone bend space as they teleported to the Third. Perfect more sacrifices for the Forest.

Coraline was going to succeed this time, she had been part of the first group of people to enter the Crypt, back when it had been an unknown variable, a small dot on the vast map of East, it had been a tiny unremarkable hill at the bottom of a vast mountain range, under normal circumstances it stayed that way. Except it became the home of one of the deadliest dungeons ever born. The Crypt of the Forsaken had become an infamous location for Adventurers, it had many names, Death’s Maw, the Hollow of Dead Souls, the Knell, and finally the Grindstone. With a 98.6% death rate, it was the deadliest dungeon that was still alive on the Continent—this time the group had brought along one hundred people, each equipped with powerful magicks and treasures. The vast group of adventurers stepped through the opened portal. Today they would shatter it.
