The function of sanitary napkins
The function of sanitary napkins
The beauty got off the bus with me.
Standing on the platform, the gentle summer breeze blew softly, still with a bit of coolness. I wouldn't bother to pay attention to these things now. My mind was preoccupied with whether or not to kindly inform the beautiful woman in front of me that she had gotten off at the wrong station.
Just as I was still hesitating, the beautiful woman spoke up first.
"Excuse me, is this xxx station?"
"Oh, thank you."
"Uh, aren't you supposed to get off at xxx station? Why did you get off here?" I couldn't help but ask curiously.
"I just moved to this area, I misremembered the station when buying tickets, and the train arrived here, only then did I realize I should have gotten off at this stop..." As she said that, the beautiful woman's face turned slightly red, looking especially cute.
I smiled and passed over her embarrassment.
"Which neighborhood do you live in? Don't get me wrong, my home is also nearby, if it's on the way, let's walk together. It's not safe for a girl like you to be out alone on a dark night like this." I don't know where the courage came from, but facing this beautiful woman in front of me, it naturally makes one want to protect her.
The beauty hesitated for a moment, presumably judging my intentions.
"It's okay if you don't want to say, I understand, haha, see you later!" I gave her a way out in time, actually it was a retreat. My god, I'm too bad...
I live in xx community.
"What a coincidence, I also live in xx district, no kidding, really!" I really didn't expect that I and the beauty in front of me actually lived in the same district, it seems that from time to time we will still be able to see each other.
"Shall we go together?"
"Let's go," I vaguely heard the good news and became somewhat numb, only knowing how to respond simply.
She smiled and walked towards the direction of the residential area first.
All the way, I quietly followed behind her, she walked fast and I walked fast, she slowed down and I slowed down. Why did it feel like I was tailing her? Was it a leftover habit from playing "Follow the Leader" too much in college?
I fantasize about jumping out a few bandits and villains, letting me perform a heroic rescue of the beauty, wouldn't that be wonderful! But nowadays our motherland is prosperous and strong, society is stable and harmonious, this probability really isn't big. Moreover, if there really were just one or two bandit villains, I could sacrifice my life to save the beauty, but if there were several more, then it would just be sacrificing my life, whether or not I can save the beauty would depend on her luck...
All the way thinking nonsense, the station to the district is only 10 minutes away, and soon we walked into the district.
When we got to Building 5, the beauty stopped in her tracks, turned around and said "I'm here, I live in Building 5, thanks a lot, byebye!"
"Oh, you're in Building 5? I'm in Building 7. See you later!" (I intentionally emphasized the "see you" part.)
Back home, after taking a bath, I threw myself onto my own bed.
I didn't ask the beauty for her name, nor did I ask for her phone number. Perhaps in others' eyes, I'm foolish enough to have missed a great opportunity. But in my opinion, since she also lives in this neighborhood, we'll meet again someday. Why rush? After all, one can't eat hot tofu in haste, hehe.
As I originally thought, I should have met that beautiful woman every other day and said hello, but things didn't go as planned. Since we accidentally met on the bus that time, I haven't seen her again.
I couldn't help but feel a little regretful, why didn't I ask for her name back then? Damn it, how come I'm so unlucky?!
I rode that bus back and forth to work every day, but I never ran into that beautiful woman again until that day.
There is a market near my residential area, with a moderate scale, and it generally has everything I need.
That day, I went to the supermarket to buy some daily necessities. I pushed my shopping cart quickly through the shelves, gathering the things I needed. Just as I was passing from the food section to the daily necessities section, a familiar figure appeared before my eyes. It was her! Although it was only her back, I could be sure it was her - that slender white neck, that tall and elegant figure, who else could it be?
I don't want to miss this rare opportunity again. I'm going to make a chance encounter happen!
I secretly followed behind her, and when she turned into another row of shelves, I quickly entered this row from the other end. I pushed my cart with my head down, and when I saw a pair of red delicate high heels, my subconscious told me it was her. So I raised my head and said "What a coincidence, we meet again here" which I had silently recited dozens of times before.
Facing me was a pair of beautiful big eyes filled with terror.
She stared blankly at me. Her fair skin, tall stature, flat nose and thick lips!
It's actually not her! OMG!
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I made a mistake." I apologized hastily.
"Neurosis." The Back Shadow Killer turned around and left with a huff.
Just as I was awkwardly standing there, a faint laugh came from behind me. I thought to myself, if I stay here any longer, something big is going to happen, so I pushed the cart and made a quick escape.
"Got the wrong person? Who did you think you met?"
I turned around, and was shocked. The person I had been searching for in my dreams for thousands of miles was standing just two meters behind me. That beautiful model girl was now standing right in front of me.
"Are you following me?" she said with a smile.
"It's nothing, just a coincidence!" I tried to make excuses.
"What brings you here?"
"Of course I'm here to buy something!" I said, starting to lie with a straight face and a racing heart.
"Does this have what you need?"
"Of course!" I said, and then subconsciously glanced around. Oh my god, I was actually in the sanitary napkin section... Now even jumping into the Yellow River couldn't wash this clean.
"Do you still need these things?" The beautiful woman looked at me with a smile, her face full of schadenfreude.
"You don't know this, but I'm going mountain climbing recently. The mountain is really high, not much lower than Mount Everest. All of us in the mountaineering team know to use this as shoe insoles to keep our feet warm." Of course, I wouldn't say like that SB in "Three-Body Problem" who said his saliva flow rate was higher, but somehow my excuse feels even more SB...
"So that's how it is." The beauty covered her mouth and giggled.
"Alright, alright, isn't my confession enough? I was following behind you, but that wasn't stalking, it's just that after we met last time, I didn't see you again. It's natural for good friends to miss each other after not seeing each other for a long time."
"Who is your good friend?" The beauty's face turned slightly red.
"Shall we leave here and talk?" I glanced around at the rows of women's products, making me feel really uncomfortable.
The beauty smiled and nodded. I was really relieved.
As I left the city, the beauty's large and small bags were naturally all taken in by me.
"Where to?" I asked the beautiful woman beside me with a tilt of my head.
"Hmm... I'm a bit hungry." She said with a wink at me.
Was the beauty's intention to ask me out for dinner? This is too good to be true, we've just met and don't even know each other's names. I was taken aback by the beauty's hint, so I tentatively asked: "How about I treat you to dinner, there's a small eatery nearby with quite some character."
"Since you're so sincere, I'll reluctantly agree to your request!" The beautiful woman smiled cutely.
Just as I was overjoyed, a car horn suddenly sounded from behind us.
I'm so fed up with this horn sound that's like a harbinger of death, it makes me feel uncomfortable all over just by listening to it.
But what happened next made me feel even more annoyed...
