Ryo Kisaragi muttered to himself as he walked home from school, exhausted. His grades were average, his athletic ability was non-existent, and his wallet contained exactly 347 yen, barely enough for a cheap convenience store meal.
His family was a loving one but struggling financially. His dad worked overtime almost every day, his mom constantly worried about bills, and his little sister, Aoi, always put on a brave face despite knowing they were struggling.
To help out, Ryo worked part-time shifts at a convenience store after school. No social life, no girlfriend, just the endless grind.
"...Life is tough."
He flopped onto his bed, staring at the ceiling. What did those overpowered protagonists in anime have that he didn’t? Why couldn’t he just wake up with a system, unlimited money, or some god-tier ability?
If only life worked that way.

A blue screen appeared in front of his face.

He did what any sane person would do in this situation.
He poked the screen.
[Ding! Idiot detected. The system is NOT touch-operated.]
"...Bro. Did my own system just roast me?"
[Ding! Affirmative.]
Ryo inhaled deeply. Okay, let’s not panic. Maybe this was a prank? Maybe some rich dude with advanced technology was messing with him?
No. That didn’t make sense.
There was only one thing left to do.

Ryo looked at his hand.
A 1,000 yen bill had materialized out of thin air.
"...Holy shit, this is real."
His heart pounded. If the system could generate money, then his family’s financial struggles were over.
"Wait, wait, wait... System, is there a limit?"
[Ding! Of course. You think this is a cheat code? The system provides money through missions and proper growth, not infinite cash printing.]
"...Damn it."
Still, this was HUGE. Even if it wasn’t unlimited, it was enough to change his life.
