Opening the box there are three items stacked on top of one another. The first is a small clear glass case containing a singe white pill. Setting that aside I reach back in and grab a small leather pouch that contains five round copper tokens, each have been stamped with what appears to be a sword, a saw, and a stick? No, a sword represents a physical weapon, the saw symbolizes crafting, so maybe its not a stick but a wand for magic? Musing over my thoughts I reach in and grab the last item which appears to be a simple brown envelope stamped with what looks to be a nine pointed star? Breaking the seal to the envelope I pull out a simple message that read:
"Dear Mr.Remus, we at ARGUS Industries created this game with the intention that any who wished to play are allowed to reach their full potential. To achieve this, certain liberties are allowed to be made at the start to ensure fair gameplay. This is one such instance. Inside you shall find a special pill that when consumed, will help balance out the issues of your real world condition. As an added apology for the inconvenience we have also included some starter tokens. We recommend you use those as soon as you are able to.
Light be with you,
G.M Logos"
Well, it seems a bit of fortune has found my way after all.
Taking the white pill out of the box I am presented with yet another screen.
Rarity- Rare
Description- A pill able to permanently increase attributes directly. When consumed, increases Strength, Endurance, and Agility by 4 points.
Not bad, if I am understanding this correctly this will put me a little ways below average. Not enough to bring me back to what most consider 'normal' but certainly enough to not leave me crippled. I wonder how much something like this in the game would be worth.
"For newcomers like yourselves, I would stand to reason it could fetch quite a high price. But ultimately it is rare because it permanently changes your stats. Once you grow more in power a couple of points don't mean that much. " The angel across from me smirked.
"Ah, thank you" Whoops, seems I talked out loud on accident, I got to be more mindful.
How long has it been, three years since the accident? If the game is able to allow me to walk again, how far could it take me?
Spurred on by the thought of improving myself even more, I move on to the last item from the box.
Rarity- uncommon
Description- Can be used at training towers to learn basic skills.
Hmm, it would be wasteful if I don't use them for myself but I wonder how much someone would pay for these tokens. Once I closed out of the information panel the tokens and pill dematerialized into light before streaming inside of me. Interesting. I look at the Angel curiously to see if she would explain what just happened.

"Ah, don't worry about that it simply just moved to your inventory. Simply think Inventory to pull it up or you can start from menu and it will be unlocked now." She said helpfully. "Anyways, lets get going, there is still a couple of choices you need to make before we can get you started in the world." She then waved her hands again and three screens popped into existence in front of my face. "Welcome, player, to the world of Orous a whole realm of possibilities. Pease choose a starting continent and a random starting town will be assigned to you."
Hmmm lets see, each continent seems to cater to different types of players. The Northern continent seems to be for those battle junkies who want to do nothing but fight. This would be a fun place to visit but I don't think starting there makes sense for me as I am way more interested in how this magic system works then fighting things. The combat skill would be nice however.
The Western continent seems to be much safer of the three at least physically. No doubt in my mind however there is plenty fighting happening all the time, just with words instead of fists. No thank you on the political hell scape I get enough of that in the real world. Though I can certainly understand the appeal to some.
I guess that leaves the Eastern continent. The bonus is nice, I wonder if they have anything like artificing in this game, would be cool to make magic guns. The unknown exploration side of it kind of calls to me as well, if I am trying to unlock the secrets of the magic system here might as well explore new lands while I'm at it.
"I would like to choose the Easter Continent please." I confidently make my choice.
"A bit of an adventurer are we Mr.Remus? I hope this game is able to live up to your expectations. Now I would recommend consuming that pill you received earlier. It would do no good if you weren't able to move when you get rebirthed."
"Oh yeah, that would make sense." I say as I think Inventory and a small screen pops up showing a simple list with the item name and a small picture. I mentally try to pull it out from the inventory and after a while of not seeing anything happening, reach out to 'grab' the item. That seems to be enough for my hand to sink into the screen a bit before I can feel it close around the pill box. Retrieving the pill, I take it out and pop it into my mouth. The pill dissolves instantly and I can feel a soothing warmth being released before distributing itself throughout my body until all the warmth has enveloped me. I can feel my muscles growing, becoming denser and revitalized.
"Well, best of luck to you Mr.Remus I will be transporting you now." the angel said before she closed her eyes and appeared to focus very intently. Soon a grand circular array of complex geometric shapes started forming above my head. The light from the array was too bright to make anything specific out but with just a glance certain impressions of concepts and ideas were whispered into my mind. Move. Materialize. SoulBound. Before I could even begin to try and comprehend what I was hearing I suddenly realized something was left out. Something every game has that is very, very important.
"HEY, WAIT WHAT ABOUT MY AVAT-" Before I could finish my sentence light surrounds my entire body before shooting me towards the Eastern Continent.
