  Using the enhancement that Isaac gave him, Val charged forward towards the closest hooded figure. With an extremely quick speed he used his clawed hand to slice through the person's neck causing a shudder to pass through him. Ignoring it he moved towards the next. There were only two left and he was going to finish it as quickly as possible. Kicking off of the round again he soon got near the next person but before he could attack them they managed to hit him first with a metal pipe. Val grunted in pain as the blunt force wasn’t stopped by his scales. The hooded figure smirked, making Val angry. Feeling the fire of anger burning inside him he let out a roar towards the person. Suddenly a small flame shot out of his mouth hitting the hooded figure. They began to scream as they were slowly being burned alive. Their robes and clothes caught fire and as they tried to put it out it just spread more across their body. Soon they collapsed to the ground unable to scream any more as the fire slowly turned them to charcoal.

  Val soon turned to the woman. “Looks like you are the last one.”

  The woman yelled in anger at Val. [This was supposed to be easy! Just let rid of some snot nosed brats but no you had to ruin everything!] After screaming this she began running towards Val as a dark aura covered her. Val felt in his chest a ball of fire that he tried to call on. Sadly it didn’t work so he changed his focus and defended against the woman. She punched towards Val as he managed to cross his arms over his head but the blow caused him to be knocked back. With a grunt he stood up from the ground and charged towards the woman once more. They traded blow for blow as every time she struck Val he felt his anger rising. Eventually it reached a boiling point as he opened his mouth letting out a roar and a flame. The woman tried to dodge but she was too slow and got hit. As the fire burned around her the dark aura she had seemed to slowly vanish.

  As she panicked trying to put the fire out Val punched her knocking her down. The last of her aura and Val’s fire went out as she tried to crawl away in fear. Val soon stomped on her chest causing her to cry out in pain. Bending down towards her, Val whispered to her. “You should have never sold yourself to the void.” Right after he dug his claws into her face. He grabbed hold of the black eye the woman had before ripping it out. She screamed in pain but then soon stopped dead. As Val crushed the eye he walked back to Isaac. His transformation slowly undone as he returned back to his normal look. He walked back to Isaac and helped him stand up.

  “Well other than how disgusting I feel that wasn’t too bad.”

  Arriving next to the others they stared at the pair in shock before Mr. Owens spoke. [What are you two? And what were those people?]

  With a sigh Isaac began explaining. |We are not of your world. And we were sent here to remove the artifact that is under the school.|

  |I mean I guess yes. We originally came from a world that was very similar to this one until we were summoned to somewhere else. The reason we were sent here was because your world is about to go through an awakening and if the artifact were to remain here it would corrupt the mana. The people who we killed are essentially cultists who work for the being that is trying to corrupt your world.|

  “Alright that is enough. We need to find a way to get back to school. Oh shit we forgot about your restraints.” Val went through and cut the ropes binding everyone as they all stayed silent and avoided looking at Val or Isaac. |Let’s just steal one of their vans.|

  “Oh yeah I guess I forgot about that. Well then let's get in everyone so we can go back to school.”

  [What about the dead bodies? Won’t someone link them back to us?] Just as Mr. Owens asked this the bodies began to disappear into black particles of light before vanishing completely. The only thing left over was the 5 robes left on the ground. Isaac stared towards the bodies as they dissolved as for a short second he saw small black orbs float above the bodies that started floating towards them. But with a blink of his eyes they vanished causing him to think it was just an illusion from exhaustion.

  “Neat, and quite convenient. See Isaac you were right. They were monsters.”

  |Yes yes I know. Now can we please go so I can finish healing this wound and get some sleep.|

  “Alright everyone let's get in the van. We are going back to the school.”

  As everyone got in Val found the keys left in the engine as he quickly started it up and began the drive back to the school. Luckily Val and Isaac used their perception to track the way they were taken so they easily found their way back. Everyone fell asleep in the back leaving Isaac and Val alone in silence as they thought about everything they did. Isaac could sense Val’s emotions. They were in disarray as he thought about the people he killed and wondered if they made the right choice. Isaac didn’t say anything to him as there was nothing he could say to calm his mind. He just reached out and grabbed Val’s hand giving it a strong grasp as they shared a look.
