I rubbed my eyes again and again, thinking there must be something wrong with them because the world I saw in front of me was totally different from what I had imagined.
“Is this where I’m supposed to do farming?” I said in shock.
The land before me was pitch black, like a cursed, destroyed wasteland. I didn’t even know how to describe it—it was the complete opposite of the fertile farmland I had envisioned. It felt like I had been teleported into a horror landscape, or worse.
As far as my eyes could see, I was standing in the middle of a forest, but even the trees looked lifeless. They were blackened, with only a few branches remaining. Some trees had a few leaves, but I could count them on my fingers. The leaves themselves were dark and sickly. The tree trunks looked burned, and every tree I could see shared the same eerie appearance. The ground stretched endlessly, with trees sparsely scattered across it. It wasn’t a dense forest; rather, it felt abandoned and ruined.
I was in shock. The world in front of me reminded me of my old world, but this one was in even worse shape. It looked like a massive war had taken place here.
“A war, huh... War never leaves me alone, not even here.”
“How the hell am I supposed to farm on this land?” I muttered nervously.
I was worried, but then I reminded myself—I was a smart person. Or at least, I thought of myself as one. What was wrong with that? I knew how to handle situations like this. Taking a deep breath, I closed my eyes and tried to relax.
Before opening my eyes, I told myself, “This is just a dream. The god, the farming land, all of it—it was just a dream. I’m still alive, just sleeping… or maybe in a coma… or maybe I’m back in my camp. Time to wake up from this dream.”
With that, I opened my eyes with a smile. But my smile quickly faded. Yep, this was a dream... I was truly dead.
“Well, forget it. I don’t want this to be just a dream. God wouldn’t lie to me. There must be something I’m missing.”
Maybe since this world was different from my old one, the land here looked different too. Thinking this, I decided to test the ground. I lifted my leg and stomped on the blackened soil beneath me to check its hardness.
Boom!
Suddenly, the ground beneath my feet exploded, creating a massive hole. Half of my body was inside the crater.
I was shocked. “What just happened?”
I realized the ground was as hard as rock—though not exactly rock-like, but still tough. I wasn’t even wearing shoes, just the same clothes I had on when I met God.
Thinking about what had happened, I was confused. Why did the ground break so easily? The best explanation was that it was already weak and hollow inside.
“Yeah, that must be it.”
Should I try again? But what if I fell into an even bigger hole? No, I shouldn’t risk it. I might die.

Suddenly, I felt something in the sky—it was the sun setting. I didn’t have much time. Well, I knew God wouldn’t lie to me… maybe. If I was right, I should be able to farm on this land. And if not, then maybe there was another place with different soil. I needed to act fast—this world was unknown to me, and so was the land.
Thinking that my system might help, I called out, “System.”
A small status window appeared in front of me, like in a video game, but simpler and easier to understand.
Rank: SSS
Class: Farmer (SSS+)
Name: Arthur
HP: SSS [+]
Strength: SSS [+]
MP: SSS [+]
Stamina: SSS [+]
Wait a minute… Why was everything ranked SSS?
My Strength, MP, Stamina—all SSS? And even my class, Farmer, was SSS+? That was even higher than the others.
Hmmm… no… no… no… But what if…? I needed to test this.
Cautiously and nervously, I began walking toward the nearest tree, mindful that the ground beneath me might collapse at any moment.
Reaching the tree, I placed my hand on its rough surface. “What happened to this tree?” I muttered, running my fingers along its bark.
Even in my previous world, nothing was ever this destroyed.
“Well, let’s see…”
The tree I was touching was four times taller than me, and its trunk was twice my width. Grabbing it with both hands, I applied just a bit of strength—and to my amazement, I easily uprooted it from the ground without even using my full power.
“So this is what SSS-rank strength means, huh?” I said with a big smile. I was happy—so happy that my eyes sparkled with excitement.
Lifting the tree completely, I held it above my head with both hands. “This is the power of a magical farmer!” Then, with all my strength, I threw the tree toward the sky, curious to see how powerful I really was.
The tree shot upwards at an incredible speed. A sonic boom echoed as it pierced through the air. I kept watching, trying to see how far it would go, but at some point, it disappeared from sight. I couldn’t even tell if it was still ascending or had started falling back down.
After waiting a few minutes, I finally saw the tree coming back toward me.
Taking a stance, I bent slightly, placed my hands on the ground, and then jumped with all my might.
Boom!.......
The impact of my jump was so strong that the ground beneath me completely shattered, creating a massive crater the size of half a well.
Soaring into the sky, I shielded my eyes from the rushing wind with one hand while keeping my focus on the falling tree.
As I got closer, I clenched my right fist tightly, preparing to strike. My left hand still blocked the wind, and just as the tree was about to collide with me, I delivered a powerful punch.
With a single blow, the tree shattered into countless pieces mid-air.
I continued ascending for a bit before gravity pulled me back down. As I started to descend, I took a moment to observe the vast, dark forest beneath me. It was all the same—blackened, lifeless, and eerie, stretching as far as the horizon.
This was the land I needed to use for farming.
As I got closer to the ground, my heart pounded with a mix of fear and excitement. But I knew I could survive this.
Boom! Thud!
With a tremendous impact, I landed on my feet, crouched slightly, and rolled to absorb the shock. I was alive—and completely unharmed.
However, my clothes weren’t so lucky. My white T-shirt was half torn, and my pants had been ripped so much that they were now shorts. Well, at least my shirt was still a shirt.
Now that I knew my status, it was time to check my farming tools. Darkness would come soon—I needed to work fast.
“Tools,” I said, knowing how to access my farming tools.
Suddenly, a tool window appeared before me, displaying all the tools I would need for my farming journey.
“What?” I was confused because I didn’t expect this.
